The pyramids are bullshit especially level 3/4 during a bossfight but seriously the danmaku is challenging compared to a lot of other entries. I feel like the hyper modes that delete bullets are what the game is ballanced around because it's really dense most of the time.
This wouldn't be a problem if we moved to 8 btw

Michigami has to be the hardest stage 3 boss in the series. I never played the PC-98 games but normally I breeze past CCP, Alice, Ichiren + Unzan, Keine, Yuugi, and Nitori. The only other stage 3 boss I remember giving me this much trouble is Doremy.
Yeah, balancing a game on ability to sometimes erase bullets because sometimes stupid pyramid will spawn and make boss danmaku undogable *in a game about dodging bullets* is really bad game design, I think like 90% of my bombs are wasted on clearing these cunts because they are also tanky as all hell, would be better - and I can't believe I am saying this because I'm not the biggest fan of that game - if they were just loot pinatas like in UFO
