Thea's okay as a secondary flier but it's really only because her competition for that role is so bad. FE6 Shanna is such a fucking meme I seriously doubt anyone claiming she's good has actually played the game and isn't just stealing opinions they found on the internet. She literally doesn't do anything besides rescue drops and picking off soldiers before promo and her stats aren't good enough to be useful after the first route split. Her only true unique utility is using swords as a flier against fighters in the western isles if you early promo her for low hitrates as you tickle them for awful damage. You can pull off 90% of Shanna's utlity without having to give her a single level, but a lot of people get brainwashed into grinding her up because of the Sacae boogeyman.

In the case of arguing for early Durandal access, I guess that could technically be good for the early manakete enemies, but the wyrmslayer also exists.

it's the hag in white. its interesting, it has skills but its minimal mostly being promo stuff. your heals are limited in you have 1 healer with infinite mend staff uses and you gotta play around that, I actually used my armor knights for a good while because they can survive more than a round or two (without needing to rely on doding) before having to run back to the old lady for heals.

I was looking for something that let you make the FE6/7 style stat panel backgrounds in FE8, since I've never liked the transparent look of 8's interface. Turns out skillsystem didn't do that, unfortunately, and there would likely have to be some assembly or buildfiles involved, which scares me desu

The game starts off mild but gets pretty nasty around chapter 4. Midgame onwards is not that bad though. I think the only things you really need to know is that magic and staff users are your most useful tools and you really don't want to miss chapter 12x.

Statuses (poison, silence, sleep, berserk) never go away. Ever. So yeah, antitoxins and restore staves are your friend. Ballistas are also annoying because they give fatigue to everyone except Lief so have him eat a few dozen ballista shots
