For example, in the romance route everyone walks happily off into the sunset without any real tragedy happening, but it gets minus points since shion and eva's family get burnt up in the firestorm.

like, sure all 17 of them survive and the missile attack is called off, but the revelations of both the 'Distress Signal' just setting off a bomb in the school (which critically, Sirei doesn't know about) and there being a whole clone of Shion that the satellite has on backup makes the Artificial Satellite extremely suspect, meaning any ending with them going up there is a very, very bad idea. Nothing stopping the bosses up there from just killing them/wiping their memories and sticking them back in the school just to do it all over again. (Even assuming the Time Loop really IS over, which I have my doubts. Hiruko gives Sirei advanced brainwashing tech to keep him happy, and we know he's doing it to everyone from other routes, which may explain why they all act so stupid in SF.)

Honestly maybe one of the endings where they eventually get peace between both sides without them blowing each other up may be the way to go

arguably s.f. ending isn't perfect either. eva remains brainwashed and her niece is most likely exiled from her village and starving/starved in a cave while waiting for her return. the will of humanity is unresolved and they'll immediately find something awful happening on the satellite

this was short but honestly this has been my favorite ending I've gotten so far at least in terms of outcome.

It was a better route than Rebellion for sure. Rebellion was similar in that it was building up to some greater concepts but not only is the tragedy completely arbitrary but the fact you get a single paragraph time skip after your choice is an extreme let down. At least Eva route has one ending that shows direct consequences

My thought exactly, would have been such a great route otherwise. It was also the first time meeting the little girl, so I was disappointed she didn't get more screentime because she's such an interesting character. Also, sacrificing Nozomi just seems like the worst fucking decision you can make.

You play the game until day 100, then you get to redo it from day 1 with multiple decisions and branching routes. You're basically in the prologue, or route 0. And yes there are 100 endings but they all greatly vary in quality

Really? I was pretty disappointed when I did it cause it was like 5 minutes long and skips like 30 days right to the end with no final fight. Guessing i feel that way instead since I did it after doing all the important routes and knowing how long an alt route can be (did all kill Eito routes except comedy, did 2nd scenario, SF, Retsnom, required box of calamity routes).

I wish you could filter the flowchart by timelines or you could at least zoom out more. I guess Switch was probably the lead platform and they figured you wouldn't be able to see shit in handheld mode if you zoomed out more but trying to find stuff sucks after you've really filled it out.

Comedy at least had the smartass route so I can't hate it. Romance route at least has Kurara romance so I can't hate it. Conspiracy is fucking nothing when it had potential to be more. I had a fucking mini stroke when I realized that at least six endings are in this fucking route and all of them are literally just "You made the incorrect choice" before a hard cut to credits.

It’s funny that before the game came out I think it was Kodaka who said there’s no choices where you make a wrong choice and fall into a hole and die or something like that, and the game is chock full of things like that. First one I got like that was when the killing game first starts and you turn down Yugamu and then you get lost running from him and killed by monsters moments later

Honestly I can imagine a version of this game where every short bad ending has at least a few days before you realizing you fucked up. Some of them do. I can imagine Kodaka underestimated the effort that it would take and he had to cut corners at some point.

You can jump routes whenever you want, just jump to one of the free times on the flowchart. Just make sure to do it at the start of a day change so that you don't have to sit there skipping through text to get back to where you were.

Eito really has nothing to do with most of the stuff that happens when you kill him anyways, it's either the Gies or the different timelines hijinks, there's no actual logic in Takumi being at fault for anything after killing Eitoquantum luck lmao

I dunno in the join her route it really seems like it's just a thing that has her memories, at the end of saying thanks for believing in me she says something like 'at least that's how I remember feeling' so that kinda solidified it for me that she's gone. And more what I meant by that was it's sad we don't get to hear her talk for real after those 2 scenes for the rest of the route. I wish she could've gotten time to be real with the rest of the team too but they only got to see her act for the rest of it.

I dunno, I just, really really really don’t want to go back and do the other SF routes after managing to get all 17 out and not destroy the planet. Also sinking feeling from Mystery with Hiruko even knowing about the SF route and saying she’s going there to borrow something, it made me feel like it’s another fuck up route and it’s hopeless but hey turns out it’s possible.

I did exactly that, got the Ashita no Joe ending. It was an enjoyable sidetrack. However, the "sleep analyzer" is a no balls dodge, we all know what it should have been.

In one of the rare times you can examine the Rec room gift machine, Takumi says "I make gifts for people all the time but no one gifts me anything."

The Killing Game route implies that Takumi and Tsubasa fucked. Takumi mentions they're one in body and soul or something like that and Tsubasa doesn't deny it or anything, she just gets flustered and wonders why he told them all that. Even more evidenced by Kamyuhn asking what he meant by it and other characters tells her that she'll know when she gets older.

I think the reality of that route was to showcase Sirei was semi correct in keeping the kids from talking with the invaders because it only took Takumi and Eva a few days to come to a complete understanding and then a couple of weeks to be in love. It also showcases that breeding is possible between the two races.

Eito says that 17 people are needed to break the loop, but none of the endings in-game have it so all 17 original members (of that timeline) have made it to the end, either they bail on their OG timeline for another or get a replacement. Did they really break the loop if the SDU members of that timeline already died? Cosmically speaking the spring is still loaded with death

For people that finished the SF route does the old researcher lady that Hiruko mentioned show up somewhere else in the game? She mentioned giving her a chip that lets her travel horizontally and vertically, which I imagine is an upgrade for the PLM that'll let them actually time travel. Plus there was another route where it's mentioned that she healed Kako-G and took her away. I haven't done 2nd Scenario yet but all the G'ie and time leaping stuff seems pretty separate from that plot line so far, so I assumed it would get answered in SF but it wasn't.

The issue I have with Kodaka's true end is that it just goes full bitter at the final boss. I also don't like how scripted the final boss is with you having to let all your characters die so Takumi can absorb them.

Maybe not, recall that the only reason Takumi even gets to be conscious sometimes is because he doesn’t actually have one in his head just some shit carried over from his brain when he was infected. I assume a complete take over is what happens when the thing really takes over a body cause what use would it be to allow the other consciousness to exist anyways?

after that there are 100 routes of varying effort. the "true" routes are just the author favorites

there is one specific ending called 2nd scenario that has a THE END at the end of it and it’s the one that explains all the mysteries to you so I’d say that one is probably meant to be the “true” ending. Then there is another ending that requires getting multiple other endings and the good ending to that I would say would be another “true” ending from the win conditions the story sets up.

I wouldn’t say the protagonist is a slut it just depends which route you do and who he ends up spending more time with on that route. There’s 20 something routes, the flowchart is a little messy? I thought it was fine, maybe a little slow to scroll back to decisions sometimes

my theory is that s.f. route brings up time loop but isn't actually the one to break it. if time looping was executed using hemoanima and happens recursively, all the hemoanima gathered up would be transferred from the end back to the beginning, hence your characters would continually get stronger. however, if there isn't enough hemoanima then there is not enough energy to execute the time loop. if 2nd scenario was the time loop breaker, then it would make sense for everyone with large sources of hemoanima to die, leaving nozomi to survive who didn't have much to begin with

I was so fucking flabbergasted when the fucking lock happened. I really didn’t think the story was gonna have some VLR shit going on. I did get excited though after my initial frustration at having to try and go find all those other routes. First thing I got too, I spared Eito, told them I’m from the future, saw that picking either academy gets someone killed because talking about the future tips off the enemy to change shit up so I then backtrack to not let that slip and BOOM go fuck up first before you get to see probably the best outcome

No, remember the end of the zombie route when he gets infected with an actual G'ie. He's still conscious and the G'ie is talking to him, he just can't control his body. I think the only reason he loses consciousness in the other routes is just because the situation is super weird and unique where he's straight up sharing a body with one but with no parasite in his brain. It's just a split personality deal there rather than a parasitization.

The gameplay is easy as fuck after the "prologue" and even lets you skip battles you've done when going back to change choices. Don't get it if you're only interested because of the SRPG aspect and not the Kodaka/Uchikoshi VN experience.

How the fuck am I supposed to use Shouma? His special says that he gets +1 attack per received attack last turn, but when I turn on defense mode, reflect just does 1 damage. Is the attack bonus really just for his one punch attack, that's it?

Just his punch attack and his special moves, nothing else. I usually just end up using the one that kills him after he gets to low hp

No, the game remains kinda easy all throughout. Upside is you can skip any repeat battles.

I found the last few battles of the 100 days to be difficult but only because I don't use any potions or traps. Still haven't gotten anything lower than S though

They made a strategy game where you're rewarded for unit deaths, which is unique but...ok, maybe there's a reason that's normally one of the worst things that can happen in a TRPG. I'm pretty sure it's fair to say the game has no realistic failure conditions of any kind.
It says barrier destruction is a fail state, but I've never seen it fall below half even in the direst circumstances.

Tenko was well liked because she had a lot of pretty important character moments with other characters later and her shtick thankfully slows down after femc dies.

Samurai chick is literally a non character and nothing she says has any emotional impact on the other characters

There're two boxes route. Box of calamity route is good because it gives new information (plus you need to clear this route to unlock S.F. route), but box of blessing is absolute garbage and a big waste of time because it pretty much just a joke route with nothing added to the game so you should just avoid it.
