HS1 did, yeah. HS2 looks miles better though. Anyways, HS2 is a lot easier and cheaper to jump in for beginners. It's also much, much easier to do animations inside honey select than it is daz.
They all have their strengths and trade-offs, though. Maps, for instance, always gets cited as something that's much more limited in HS.

I just finished playing Now and Then and I had to hold ctrl for most of the last part of the game it looked so bad.
Animations are not worth the huge quality decrease. I'd rather have no animations at all with daz renders when the daz animations are wonky and HS2 looks terrible.

The game in question you're complaining about uses HS1 so I'm not really sure what you're trying to accomplish with this post.
HS2 looks good/great, as shown by the models in Eternum. Sure it's not life-like like Daz, but there's a reason why many are using HS2 nowadays.
