It looks like a generic wyvern with an ugly color scheme and a t-rex head tacked on for good measure. Like a crayon drawing brought to life but without any soul. He's got a crassness and ferocity to him with his jaw/skull structure, all-in charging, and garish color scheme. He's just the opposite of subtlety and there's value in that. Ironically what makes you hate him so much is what is appealing in its own way, even if he's not my favorite monster either. From what you type, it's clear that somewhere in that empty skull of yours, you seem to understand that he has a cohesive design that just pushes in a direction that's not to your taste.
