Combat is meh but it does have a vrry fun, whimsical story.

In the intro the camera ALWAYS cuts away from oliver as he goes to take a bite of his breakfast because they couldn't get the chewing animation to look nice which would break the style they wanted, so they used camera cuts to hide when he should be eating.

That was my second guess lmao.

The art is the best part, the game overall is pretty mediocre. It's one of those games that's not quite bad enough to make you want to drop it, but at the same time you won't be having a really fun time playing it.

Why is the cover done in AI artstyle?

Either way, a game for children referencing a TV show that had been off the air for 20 years is an odd choice to put in the game. That said I did read somewhere - so this might be bullshit - is that each localisation team was given a lot of free reign so the french version makes references french people would get for example.

A game that's a lot slower than you might think. Things can be a little tricky while you're still getting used to the game, particularly early on when you're not used to defending or dodging, otherwise the combat is very simplistic, the AI allies aren't always the most helpful, the leveling is slow until you can encounter a specific enemy type, the quests are pretty basic, a lot of puzzles amount to "use spell you recently learned to deal with obstacle" while the game stops to tell you how to solve the puzzle before you do it, etc. Not the worst game but it goes on for too long, Shadar was the better villain over the White Witch, the fourth party member is the main character but worse, and you can keep going on. Also combat doesn't change much and the general strategy is about the same for the whole game.
