Helldivers

Hows the game now? Played a month when it launched. Did the devs fix the game or ruin it?

I bought it 2 months ago and spent 240 hours on it so far. I find it

fun

so far

It's alright. They might release the full third faction tomorrow.

didn't they already release them?

Its my favorite pve game of all time. Nothing quite feels as good, EDF almost could have been but the Japs are idiots and put in stupid draconian ideas.

illuminate tomorrow

Dunno haven’t played since then either lol
Give colorful capes homos

got it a few months back fun while it lasts, i definitely see myself dropping it as soon as i unlock all the equipment i want. im only level 50 and starting to feel the repetition

right now we we re waiting fucking arrowhead finish the "new" faction already or upload new content

Fixed somethings while breaking others, classic swede game dev. Still doing better than darktide.

What a low bar you've set, anon.

according to a journo swords are fascists

Are bug divers genuinely shitters or is it just my luck. I’ve played bots like 98% of the time, but every time I drop into a lvl 10 bug lobby I get the biggest retards.

True. My 2 fav coop games but both are made by swedes on the same defunct engine.

still trying to start HD2 vs EDF fights

You discordfaggots just can't help yourselves

are russians facist? they are committing facist acts against "nazis" in "ukraine" where their most hated "enemy" resides

literally all they had to do to make darktide good was not be so fucking jewish with the cosmetics and preim currency so that there was an actual long term reward system to the game having earnable preim cosmetics would of given achievement ones more prestige too.
seriously would it have killed them to add like 500 a week to the contracts so people had an excuse to keep playing as a long term goal.

The Eruptor is based

I could play it fine at release but each subsequent patches made the fps drop to the point I can now no longer play it above diff 3 because of the amount of mobs on screen is too high in the higher difficulties and I end up getting 10fps

bots bad
bugs bad
squids bad
helldivers good
super earth good
simple as

bugs are populated with enough people, whcih is fine by me. It's the coziest race to kill because everything is on fire all the time.

Bugs are more stressful than bots I would say

go back to sucking dicks on reddit

Bots are worse because they just shoot at you and land impossible shots from across the map. They nerfed them and it helps but being sent flying across the map by a rocket launcher nigger you didn't even see still sucks
At least with bugs you know you're getting your anus tongued because you fucked up and not because RNG decided to fuck you and land a rocket in your face

I expected content flow to pick up after the console port they never said they were working on, but then there was the 2nd secret console port project. After that I thought surely this time the devs are free to fill out the game but it's been trash tier at a dribble pace.

it's snowing in sweden anon devs are people too

(you) will shit your pants.

Did they fix the horrible anti-aliasing or did they add FSR3 support at least?
Haven't played more than 15 hours since the game launched. Might go back if it's worth playing now but I'm not holding my breath.

I hate how they keep doing everything except adding new normal maps.
No I don't fucking like horde

its kind of buggy but still fun
atleast they didn't do anything to ruin the core gameplay
made me appreciate this game more after looking at KF3 with that unnecessary COD apex movement gunplay in a horde pve shooter

Don't think so, though I never noticed any issues with the anti-aliasing. They did further compound the game's delicate performance by releasing cities and a type of foggy weather that'll tank frames to a crawl

The default anti-alias solution is something akin to Nvidia Image Scaling or FSR1. Maybe it's not that visible with resolutions higher than 1440p but 1080p it still pretty much looks like everything has been melted a little around the corners.
Anyway.

they seem to have stopped supporting it sans lame paid in game items, no content

game is so much more cpu intensive compare to launch
i noticed my gpu usage are not maxed out
the fps drop must be even worse on a base PS5 running zen 2

Bots have paradoxically become the least oppressive of the 3 factions because shit like berserkers and the jet pack fucks are no where near as immediate a threat as most of the bugs are. When most of the roster are melee enemies that love to flank and swarm you and are fast enough or can jump far enough to reach you quickly suddenly having a gun isn't a big advantage anymore. Now add on the tentacle fucks and the on demand mortar bugs in the back and you will spend about as much time backpedaling. It turns into a Serious Sam game, and I hate Serious Sam.

normal bots are ez until they are equipped with incendiary shotguns that snipe you from a distance burn you to death

New warbond looks ass except for the spinny fire grenade.

Artic

Demolition

The zappy bois one

I'm forgetting one but which should I go for next.

Darktide is missing a few things that I think holds it back longterm:

Map and mission variety, especially location variety.

Missing the basic narrative aspect that vermintide had; everything is go here, wait for timer, leave.

Rotating map roster means you cant play what you want unless you wait and theres matchmaking blackholes where what youve chosen rotates out after you launch the server and theres less/no people doing it.

Stats and buffs are somehow both incredibly vague and horribly convoluted making it hard to tell what the fuck anything actually does.

Generic characters and dialogue is bland and feels weird when you're considered disposable penal colony trash while simultaneously achieving Spacemarine level feats in combat.

Basic weapon customisation is missing (scrapped to sell cosmetic, easily reimplemented by mods)

Matchmaking is dogshit and you cant even swap class in response to team comp (if you dont get dumped into a new instance) which becomes more important at higher difficulties

bots are utterly useless and completely dysfunctional at higher difficulties which is an issue when you're forced to matchmake into an empty lobby with them most of the time before you get other players joining.

build viability with weapons is limited and everyone runs the same perks as a result. Perks are all stat boosts and are more viability enablers for higher difficulties

the endgame modifiers mode is garbage

a toughness "shield" system means you're either almost invincible while you're maintaining buff stacks or you're dying very quickly. Because this is tied almost exclusively to getting weakpoint hits/kills it creates an ironic situation where you're more likely to take damage when theres less enemies around and Veteran is tankier than the Ogryn who I find drops off extremely hard on Damnation generally.

no post game stats without mods means you have no clue how well your build is actually doing

non-premium unlocks are all garbage

it has 3 melee options, if they are all viable it could be a fun warbond.

which should I go for next.

you dont have detonation? that's the first anyone should grab.

They made the game way too easy. I ended up uninstalling because I'm clearly just not the target audience.

every enemy has been nerfed into the ground

bot and illuminate enemies are literally programmed to shoot everywhere except where you are

weapons all overbuffed, which with the enemy nerfs means everything has been utterly trivialized

game's "one breach/drop at a time" mechanic means that there is no counter to players splitting up and 3/4 of the team will encounter almost zero enemies

extremely common to complete a difficulty 10 mission with 20+ reinforcements remaining

every time they try to fix spawns they fuck something up; extractions have been ghost towns for half a year because the only places enemies are allowed to spawn gets nullified by players standing within 100m of it

devs quoted multiple times as saying they're afraid of making high difficulties challenging again because they get all their feedback from fucking reddit which is gamerdad central

It's just so fucking boring now

Weapons stats were originally going to be more detailed but they compressed it down because it was "too complicated"
