How they define glory kills is you get put in a cut scene with animation of the kill. According to them, this slowed down momentum so they got rid of it. You do kill enemies and they do burst out ammo but it isn't a unique animation from what I've seen in one review. All you get is a boot stomp or maybe a shield bash and they just die.
