MGQ series ended a few months ago, and it too felt somewhat rushed, but it still gave pretty much everyone good closure for their arcs.

Each quest in the game has a different set of characters that are relevant. There are some that are part of Rance's core party that follow him around on all the quests, like Sill, Kanami, Crook, Rocky, Sachiko, Miracle, Satella, Bezeleye, and a few others I'm probably forgetting. Even then, I don't remember any of them in particular taking up too much screentime.

Kichikuou Helman part was better than Rance 9 as well. And there are several parts in Kichikuou better executed than the equivalent parts in 6.

Yep, though, there are rumors they're working on something. But for all we know, that something could just be another NTRage. So can't raise our hopes too high.

I don't know, I got all I wanted from X and the ending was a real tearjerker. The music that plays in the credits montage made me think of all the time spent in the franchise like it was some grand adventure coming to an end.

I think the franchise runs into the issue with dropping certain characters that just aren't needed. Tilde should not have been so major for the role she plays.

Reminder if you started learning Japanese from when Sengoku Rance blew up on Anon Babble you'd be perfectly fluent and would have played this on release without issue.

Biggest problem with Rance 10 for me is while it indeed is an ambitious game with a lot of text, most of the text is for the meal ticket events. I wish they put as much effort into creating more main story events rather than the meal tickets.

I doubt perfectly fluent, something impossible to achieve without living in japan. But it would be enough to read Rance X.

A lot of people act as if Kichikuou was the neatly wrapped bow to the old canon of the Rance games, when it also had its set of problems. I think people are willing to brush past it namely due to the level of freedom the game offers you, which no other Rance games has matched. Plus, it had a myraid of concepts, lore, characters, locations, you name it that was introduced on some sub-400mb disk. Like I said before, not all these ideas were given the ideal amount of exploration or development, but the game still managed to present these novelties in a flashy and interesting way.
