I was a playstation console player before PC. I've bought every gen ever since I was a kid and plan on doing so until I die simply because of tradition. That fagginess aside, I also get to play console exclusives before PC. Sometimes they have cross saves. Also it's cozy to just kick back on the sofa and play a game on the tv.

Yeah PS5 mogs the competition. More and more people are waking up to the fact that Switch has no games.
There's still some non-exclusive console-only games like EA Sports College Football and NHL.
In addition there's constantly rising system requirements for PC games, even if your PC could still run the latest games just fine a year ago there's now new games coming out with raytracing as a hard requirement which might mean upgrades are now necessary and a PS5 is cheaper than any half decent modern GPU.
PC gamers also have to deal with anticheat. Not everyone is comfortable letting some chinese gaming company install a rootkit on the same machine they do online banking on.
Eh, I wouldn't go that far. I use my PC more often than not. Like I said, it's more tradition than a desire. I don't deepthroat Sony and Playstation like I used to. Just something I like to do as a favor to the inner child.

I haven't seen what you're talking about but it wouldn't surprise me. Consoles upscale to produce "4K@60". PCs will almost always win in terms of raw performance, but that's a given. PCs cost a lot more. Thing is, even PCs have to use upscaling these days since more and more games seem to be offloading onto the end user's hardware rather than optimizing.

the end of year steam survey showed that gamers are only buying 3 or 4 new games a year on average now and only 15% of all steam users' time was spent playing games released in 2024 and that doesn't even include the wowfags, lolfags, fortnitefags, etc that would make that 15% even lower. live service slop is cannibalizing the entire industry. it's an industry issue, not a sony issue. also remember there is a snoypass now for normalfags to consume in between their cod and fifa matches.
