Lost Planet 2

vague storyline that jumped around trying to tell it through the eyes of different factions

you and three other retards run through a gauntlet of akrid, pirates, and mechs in missions that could go on for well over an hour before you had an option to keep your progress

cool little secrets you could find off the main path like hidden VSs and big damage weapons

grind for dumb shit like emotes and weapons that ranged from default upgrades to silly shit like a confetti cannon

train level

WE ARE GOING TO CRASH THAT FIESTA

Lost Planet 2 and the original were so much fun and I really wish Capcom didn't try to switch up LP3 as much as they did.

It's big...

VERY BIG

the online was fun
why LP3 not as fun

Superb taste anon. LP2 is my favourite multiplayer experience of all time and it is a shame there will never be anything like it again.

Nuclear grenade

I miss it so much...

Don't remind me... it hurts too much
I miss these niggers like you wouldn't believe

that level where you can combine two suits into one if you knew the hidden inputs

I had to grab a controller for that shit though, we couldn't figure out the KBM alternative to the inputs.

I remember seeing the things people could get when I first started playing like the nuke grenade, gunswords, heart-beam energy guns, it was just dumb and mindless fun

Never played the second one, but Akrid Hunt in the original was really fun

INITIALIZING MERGING SEQUENCE

INITIALIZING MERGED VS SYSTEM

you even got a little achievement for it, I think you had to carry over one of the VS from the previous level and merge it with the tank

realistically why would this game not be a massive success if it released today with up to date gfx

I kind of love and hate this game
after a while 90% of remaining players were only japanese on ps3 and it made pvp atrocious

Capcom would do something to fuck it up, they've hated making good decisions for years

holy fucking kino

Calling all Snow Pirates on E.D.N. III. I have a warning of utmost urgency.

The military forces you know as NEVEC are planning something that will be catastrophic for all who dwell on this planet.

I know this because I used to work for NEVEC. I believed in their goal to bring order to this planet.

Now I know that goal was a lie, and their true aims have always been to amass Thermal Energy. That is why I abandoned NEVEC.

Now they are trying to awaken the slumbering Over G Akrid that lies beneath the planet surface, and this will unleash massives amounts of Thermal Energy.

NEVEC will take all this Thermal Energy and then abandon the planet to its fate.

But that is not all.

If NEVEC is not stopped, and we do not prevent the awakening of the Over G, then the sudden and terrible introduction of such large quantities of Thermal Energy will set off a reaction that will freeze this planet to its very core and kill everyone and everything living here.

For the better part of a century, you assumed that any land you had could be lost at any time, and if that happened, you would just start over somewhere else.

But there is nowhere else this time. Our place is here, on this planet.

Our ancestors built a place for themselves here thanks to their indomitable spirit and the strength of their resolve.

Now it is time to tap into that same resolve to protect what they struggled to build.

To all Snow Pirates on E.D.N. III: if you can hear my voice, then I beseech you to put aside your differences and stand with me as one.

Let us show NEVEC what happens when they threaten our home.

The train guys were the coolest, this game's co-op had so many kino moments mixed in with the mindless shooting

Defeat final boss with a colony drop

It's actually the title screen

It's never been more kino

Team up against the real bad with old enemies

why is it so kino

Does co op work on pc? last time i tried GFWL was borked and i couldnt get it working

The original has the disadvantage of being a console shooter with no marketing in the peak of the BROWNANBLOOMAN shooter era, but also made the colossal mistake of splitting matchmaking queues between dozens of modes and map pools which basically killed pvp multiplayer in the crib.

Why were these games critically planned and why did the series die? I only played one and maybe a demo for 2 and I remember having a blast

the ending scene where everyone is staring at the ruins of the big bad space station

GFWL is borked but there are fixes for it online so you can still do co-op, but of course the game's dead so you'll have to convince up to 3 others to play with you anon

I recently replayed this after like 10 years and got stuck at the final boss fight for over an hour not knowing you had to attach the beacon to it...

I 100%'d the game about a year ago online just playing with randoms. Theres very very little people playing it since it requires setting up shit. But you can still find people. Just don't get discouraged when you can't find a single match for hours on end.

truly one of the most kino games of all time. I thought it was the most badass awesome game ever when I was 13, and I still love it today.

used to play the shit out of this with a friend erry day. At some point i think we even managed to play one or two online games. My interent at that time was dogshit so that was something

honestly, partly anti-jap game bias among critics. There was a real "heh, the japanese can't make REAL shooters, they're too silly!" and then we got a decade of shit boring realistic brown shooters that no one remembers anything about cause they were all the same.

I have the ultimate LP2 rip off idea that incorporates elements from Mega Man Legends and Earth Defense Force. Sorta like EX Troopers but broader in scope. But there is no way on fucking earth I have the time to produce it all myself.

whats wlong gajin kun
cant hander the big rice cock?

we got a decade of shit boring realistic brown shooters that no one remembers anything about cause they were all the same.

I have no idea what you're talking about, Dom was my favorite LP2 character

I'll take that over quirky gay colorful rpgs

No one said rpgs.

couldn't handle big rice ping

My ONLY problem with LP2 is multiplayer trophies aside from that solid game haven't played the one on 360 though.. Getting 99 on every class for bronze trophy? Ew. Story mode even if you go through the entire story wouldn't even get you to lv30

I was trying to find the opposite of shooters

Lost Planet 2's release was at the apex of anti-Japanese sentiment by games journalists huffing their own farts over western video games rising in quality and becoming more "mature" and cinematic. Lost Planet 2 was smited for being different from 1

Seriously, it cannot be understated just how racist and spiteful western devs were to Japanese. Like you had actual liberal hipsters types saying TO THEIR FACES, that japanese make shitty games.

I really hope if Capcom actually manages to patch the game to remove GFWL that the servers become active again. I never got to experience the multiplayer.

i can see how edf would fit but where the fuck does megaman legends fit into it
