LO is good but it just doesn't have that same vibe that made BD special for me, it's probably nostalgia talking but I found everything except the story to be better, the music, gameplay, style, it's all better in blue dragon, especially that boss fight theme, some of my favourite Nobuo tracks are in it

The only thing it comes up with Rebirth is the towers which could have been removed, and just reduce chadley to VR stuff. But the rest (story, characters, gameplay, music, etc) is pretty damn good.
Exp33 is a good game, i just didnt like the actual gameplay. I think it is balanced terribly and it affects the sidecontent tackle and even the final dungeon/boss. That alone makes me game a little worse than rebirth. There are some things that i dont like, but i dont think it is bad. Its just not for me.
Havent played xenoblade 2 but i feel like it should be xenoblade 3? its the most recent one and people usually say xeno2 is the black sheep of the franchise.
Metaphor is just mediocre all around. There are some things i like, take any topic around this game and theres mediocrity. Gameplay? check. Characters? check. Story/storytelling? double check. Graphics? Check. Presentation? check. Music? pretty good, but it got repetitive after a while. It needed some uniqueness to it, like character themes or something. Check. Side content? check. Finished it on ps5. It had some good ideas and i would have definitely done things differently, but just as it is, it is mediocre.

Those are the two most recent rpgs it clearly resembles. You could go back further and claim LoD or FF8 but LO/X get the job done. It has their spirit. More akin to those games than the high school friend simulator Persona stuff.

Most people use xeno 2 as bait because hating anime and japan is the current popular thing on modern Anon Babble(4cuck), and xeno 2 is the most unashamed jrpg out there, which is why it's so loved by fans and hated by tourists. Don't be fooled into thinking the people posting these baits like any other xeno games either, they hate all of them, and for some it goes deeper than that(like being against Japan or Nintendo for example), they regularly switch between shitposting xeno 2 and 3 to derail xeno threads, one of them (I don't doubt it's just one dude and no one else) tried shitposting in the 8moe thread, but since he couldn't samefag there, people just ignored him and he gave up after he couple of posts.

Very much doubt it's a discord, It really seems like it's mostly one dude, with maybe a couple more that shitpost in response to him in xeno threads, I have heard people saying that he also spams in other threads, but I wouldn't know about that.

Xenoblade 2 was only unpopular with certain people because of the overt hentai aesthetic, you can't honestly believe Marxthaphor is an actually better game.

It was, 3 is just a better game overall, you may not like the story as much but 3 doesn't have all the stupid niggles 2 has like field skills or the obtuse-ass menus.

In all gameplay-related aspects, the tutorials are actually useful instead of just rampant word vomit, the battle system develops at a much more steady pace, the job system is just as deep without having to include gachashit, the menus are easy to read and to understand, field skills aren't needlessly obtrusive to free exploration, character-focused sidequests are succint and to the point instead of stupidly multi-tiered game-long slogs, archaic collection and hunting missions are organized under the collectopedia umbrella instead of littered in the world and so on.

Curious the only non 100% left leaning game in that image is the one being shitted on while the others are universally praised :^$
