The timer in this game is fucking STUPID. I don't want to periodically be forced to do shit over because I don't read a guide.
The timer in this game is fucking STUPID...
filtered by MM
Thought your ilk died out in the 2010s. Skull issue.
I gave this game a chance once and got over it when I realized there's a timer. I was so hyped after beating OOT. What a huge let down.
You're not supposed to read a guide.
If you don't like having to re-do something when you fail, then just play a different game. Like one that autosaves every minute.
Play the Song of Time backwards and you can slow the timer.
Me when I was nine years old
Confession. I don't think I ever played through Majora's Mask without consulting one of the strategy guides. I had both the Nintendo magazine and Prima one.
anti-OOT thread
anti-MM thread
Hmm...
I just paused to think about solutions
The entire point of the game is the Groundhog Day aspect of repeating the same cycle again and again. The NPCs following schedules and time-dependent events occurring.
Just play OoT/TP if you want to just "complete" a bunch of dungeons.
I never understand why normies have problems with timers in video games. The same thing filters you people from Dead Rising, it hardly impacts the difficulty.
should have explored on the first 3 days of the game. then you would find the scarecrows and they would end up teaching you how to slow down time. If you cant complete a dungeon with 3 days of slowed down time then its a skill issue desu.
i did everything in the game without a guide except for the couples mask, that was hard af without a guide.
Maybe you should stick to fortnite or roblox or nu-zelda
what's weird is I had no problem with the timer in dead rising but I couldn't get into majoras mask because of the timer

THAT IS THE GENRE OF THE GAME.
IT IS LIKE SAYING YOU DON'T LIKE HOW THERE ARE TURNS IN A TURN-BASED RPG.
YOU CANNOT CRITICIZE A GAME BASED ON ITS MOST ESSENTIAL PREMISE, IT IS EFFECTIVELY THE GENRE. YOU CAN ONLY CRITICIZE THE WAY IT APPLIES THAT CONCEPT. IT IS EFFECTIVELY THE GENRE, YOU CAN'T JUDGE A GAME BECAUSE YOU DON'T LIKE THE GENRE.
The actual worst thing about this game is that you need to play it for around 1.5 hours before you are allowed to save for the first time. You cannot delay nor advance this time, you literally need to play for 1.5 hours non-stop before you can even save for the first time. In Ocarina you can save whenever you want but in MM saving sucks. But OP is probably using an emulator and save states though like a cheater lol.
Sort alphabetically
Still have to scroll 30 seconds for the item you want
Tendies aren't very smart
The guide had a bunch of secrets I never would have found. Like renting out the hotel room and eavesdropping on Anju's conversation with her mom.
Because time management is hard for the zoomer
Even in the n64 version I thought you could dance with the scarecrow to advance time even in the first loop?
MM is filled with horrible design decisions that people rightly find incredibly annoying, but also has a diehard fanbase who will excuse even the most pointless and silly time wasting nonsense it does, major or minor. You have to be able to stomach large amounts of repetition and jank in order to find this game close to as compelling as OoT.
Self imposed challenges aren't interesting
I personally hate nintendo, but there's a filtering option for a reason. Me, personally; I left it at recently used, cause most items i didn't even bother with.
neither did anyone else, but its still pretty fun. thats why its a cult classic and not a classic.
Progress you make can be used to skip redoing it.
Get Sonata
Can skip the lead up to it
Beat dungeon
Can just fight the boss to get the land cleaned
Get hookshot
Get quick way into the fortress
Get all the eggs
Learn the song and skip the entire leadup
I don't understand why anyone should wine about the premise of any video game.
I don't like that I have to redo things
Yeah, it's a groundhog day game, would you prefer if the groundhog day game didn't make you redo things? That would be stupid. The game functions like it was intended to.
It's unfair to judge a game for having a groundhog day timer, because that means you would give every groundhog day game a bad review, it doesn't make any sense. You have to review it as a groundhog day game, not just a game. Lol.
100% without any guide like 20 years ago, everything its explaining in game and the bombers notebook its all you need
Autism thing about completing tasks and checking boxes. They cannot comprehend that once you've got the Bow/Song it doesn't fucking matter that the Forest Temple is reset.
It's the reason why Ubi-slop was so popular for so long.
use the song that slows down the timer
What’s an alphabetic ally?
I agree, playing without a guide was hell.
I took so long to complete the goron area by the time i made it to the zora area, i couldn't keep up anymore.
I did every single mask without a guide but I used one to find a heart piece after I beat the game.
How does that solve the issue of there being 50000+ items you don't need, which clutter your inventory?
The OoT thread was made by a shartjak tranny so its safe to say that this one is probably his as well.
If you played the reversed song of time to slow everything down, you didn't beat the game.
Back on n64 around 2000
I managed to figure out how to get into Kafei's house by myself without a guide.
When I finally put it all together that you deku hop while he gets the mail, god the sound of it opening made me HOLY SHIT I GOT IN
The first time I witnessed the thief steal the bomb bag was amazing mainly because I naturally stumbled on it.
I also remember the first time I got into Romani Ranch for the aliens game and failing it. Then when I did beat it, it was such a fucking relief.

I also managed to pull off the glitch where you roll into the thiefs hideout rock door and somehow pass through it letting you jump to the play as kafei minigame. I had no clue at the time how to actually pull off the quest legit, I think I looked that one up.
A confused individual
I know, I don't get it either. That's why I'd organize by recently used

HAHAH you too? Oh man, I thought I was the only one. Really was confusing beating that minigame and then not knowing what to do next, because you basically broke the whole quest.
Alright anon, a few things to discuss
A: RETARD
B: get better at planning, retard
3: This game is fucking easy you idiot, it's made for kids
I clipped into Sakon's hideout without anyone telling me about it too. There was just something definitely off about it and I think the glitch was easy to do too.
he's unable to finish a dungeon within the 3 hour time limit
I love time limits
I love refrigidgaters
Was it actually 3 hours?
Damn. Y'know I played ALTTP for the first time last month and those dungeons are like, 20 mins max.
Just make the most of your time.
Just like in real life haha...
Was it actually 3 hours?
Yes, when you play the Inverted Song of Time (which you learn of within the first 30 minutes of the game) at the start of a cycle.
