Pretty much down the path it's already going. More and more focus on "games as a service". Mobile phone gacha games will continue to overtake the market share, as will freemium multiplayer games with microtransactions and loot-boxes. I think we'll see a huge drop in single-player story campaign focused games as they're now taking 7+ years to develop and publishers are noticing. They also lack the forever passive income that "games as a service" provide. What I'm saying is it won't really matter if games still get cracked or not. Everything will be an online service eventually.

No, more people will turn to older freeware.

Death of AAA and more indie slop

Considering the growing population that only owns a smartphone as their electronic entertainment, I doubt it.

Doubters like you thought Denuvo wouldn't fall, and now it gets dropped within a few years anyways.

If I can't pirate, I'll pay for games but only after all the DLC is out and for 50% off on sale. I'm not spending a cent on unfinished garbage

If piracy died, nothing would change at all. What's the difference between

not buying a game

pirating a game and playing it

To the game companies, both of these result in +$0. If people could afford your game, they'll pay the price. If they can't, then they won't buy it. The death of piracy just means gamers won't be playing your game at all.
That means lots of people will be working on shit that nobody buys or plays. I hope game devs are happy with that future.

Brown people will commit mass suicide with nothing else to do with their lives since they can't afford vidya.

brown thread

Retards like you is why mobile games took over gaming.

Clair Obscur is pirateable. I just pirated a denuvo game, Persona 3 Reload btw

Do you speak as a brown person? Because you're not very intelligent. There are games that don't even cost money. The top two games on this list don't even cost money.

steamcharts.com/

You know a lot about not paying for things, brownboy.

It wouldn't change. Piracy has NEVER been proven to affect the video game industry.

I'm not brown, and I don't appreciate the accusation. I'm filtering this thread now. 95% of the board is automatically filtered when I show up on the website; This is why you sub-humans post in every available thread. You are now entering the filtered section.

I miss when piracy was easy. Will Denuvo ever be easily crackable bros? I miss having free shit.

Meanwhile, anti-piracy measures have significantly hurt videogames.

muh browns

Taxpayer funded big budget games are an exclusively first world issue btw. Not even backwater countries would like to wageslave twice for video games.

That shit is just in shitty jew normie games, good games dont care because they sell by themselves.

If people weren't going to buy your game before what the fuck is going to change now? At least someone who cracked your game MIGHT decide to buy it after trying it out for free

It's really only hurting people who play Jewish games so I'm not all that worried about denuvo.

They just have to wait longer and grab it when Denuvo is removed and the game is fully patched. Thanks for the beta testing, paypigs!

death of piracy

i mean sure they have the tech to stop it, but at the same time there's no games i wanna pirate... haven't been for years.

most games i have been playing are easy to emulate or i play on my uncle's ps1/ps2/xbox/ds/gameboy

so much soul

There are already more games to play than I have time to play. Denuvo just means I'm not gonna play those games

The kind of games I buy/play will never get Denuvo so I have nothing to worry about.

Quantum computing is just down the corner. In a few years, no form of human encryption will survive an assault from one.

There's also the chance Irdeto is infiltrated by people who dislike Denuvo, and that they release the source code in secret.

free

Gross. If a game is less than $100, I don't want it.

Im pretty sure Ai could cracked easily it just need someone to teach it, reverse engineering is an autistic skill that Ai is really good at it. And if a tranny can do it a machine can too. As far as I know is just decrypt and find the flags inside the memory to tell the malware the game is legit. It implies thousand of iterations. Is not worth making it for free.

the death of piracy

There's a total of 66 games you can't pirate because of Denuvo, more than half of which are yearly sports games and shit indies like Bus Simulator and Firefighting Simulator btw.
There's some 90,000 games on Steam, so the total amount of unpirateable games - and that's just on Steam, there's still thousands of games not on Steam - is ~0.07%.

66 relevant AAA games like Persona 5 and Doom the Dark Age vs 90000 shovelwares like Hentai Puzzle 9000.

Gaming sites will die so will forums like this since the majority of people here are pirates.
This obsession /addiction will not carry over to the next generation of children because piracy is how you get games when you don't have money.
The world is healing thanks denovo.

Ah yes, yearly sports games and shit indies like Bus Simulator and Firefighting Simulator are super relevant AAA games.

Without piracy vidya would fall off even faster than it currently is.

Oh but X company is complaining about piracy. Y company died due to piracy.

Piracy has no impact on sales figures, if a company complains about piracy, then they are doing so because their business model sucks or they were already bleeding money.
It hasn't been proven to have a negative effect on the industry, but the positive effect can't be understated.
AAA games haven't been made since 2012 and Denuvo being used on those games is largely a bait-and-switch.

No

We're just lucky the anti-piracy devs, almost by design, are extremely jewish and make their anti-piracy really expensive, and a subscription model at that. Imagine if Denuvo was some free bullshit you could put on everything like steam guard? Things would be a LOT worse. As is, only big releases and the very occasional piracy obsessed indie can afford to put on Denuvo... And even then mostly temporarily.

relevant AAA games like Pers

piracy is more prelevant than ever before as more people use internet than ever before, You can watch films, dl music, tv shows, games, by simply typing what You want + torrent in search engine and You get the result 99% of the times, now with that being said kill Yourself

This will change when the industry starts to crash and they will end up giving it away for next to nothing and it will end up being applied to everything.
Also it will end up on consoles too it's already rumored the switch 2 will have it.
Marking the end of emulation as a medium entirely

What’s with the filename?

why do you have that saved? That’s fucking creepy

chatgpt says:

Simplified Meaning
The filename is a C++ program that:
Runs a loop updating a variable (horsey) with an alternating pattern and a small constant.

Computes the square root of horsey (stored in dolly).

Stops when the square root is very small (< 0.0001).

Likely serves as a humorous or stylistic filename for a .jpg image, not intended to be executed.

I'll just wait until Denuvo gets removed from a game or the game goes on sale for <$20. Who cares? I'm still playing games at the same pace just delayed by a year or two. I don't need to play new games, and by the time I play them they have multiple patches that fix the game.

death of piracy

Kekaroo, the absolute majority of games with denuvo included were not worthy of even pirating to begin with. And I pirate because niggers like sony make arbitrary rules on who should and should not purchase their products, also forcing bullshit like PSN on PC. I ain't gonna jump over hoops just to give those fat fucks my money, they can blow me.
To this day I will never understand overzealous corporate bootlickers like OP. I sincerely hope you're at least getting paid for this shit.

And what does grok say?

i dont have twitter

What the fuck is twitter

x.gif - 423x751, 132.59K

not sure. i think you need a grok account to use twitter.

Denuvo comes exactly at the time when i lose interest on Video games so it doesnt really affect me. Yeah it sucks i cant Pirate Yakuza and Persona now, and it sucks Stellar Blade use it as well. But then again, i barely play Video games compared to when i was 15. Im 35 now. I have other shit thats worth my time than playing video games.
