There's nothing in current gaming that even comes close to what Battlefield 3, 4, Hardline, or Battlefield 1 achieved.

Don't get me wrong, nuDICE will probably make shittass game but I can't lie to myself, I am so tired of the 5 v 5 cartoonish porn character fps games craze, it's been so long since we have an FPS focused on large scale battles with vehicles and destruction mechanics, so as long as they don't make BRAINDEAD decisions such as with Battlefield V and how weird it was overall or Battlefield 2042 with it's battle royale sized maps with no proper level design then... I'll be more happy.

Literally they jus need to make a Battlefield 4 with better graphics and destruction and some new mechanics and that's it, the game could be fun as long as they don't overcomplicate it or become retarded, I am just so sad that chances are that they will be retarded after all.

Cosmetics and battle passes are the biggest moneymaking machines in the industry right now, there is no change in hell EA of all companies won't make another game with retarded looking operators and abilities.

honestly I have come to expect the enshitification of so many things I love simply because consoomers can't stop buying the stupidest shit, and capitalism is all about maximizing the consoomerism so it becomes a race to the bottom, things that I enjoy and love end up becoming vehicles for companies to scam their players or deliver accesible products that are dumbed down but everyone can play so there will be more sales.

I recently saw this with MHWilds this year, where they made the game literally almost play itself, so that more people could complete it and more people would buy it because it'd be "less intimidating" and "more accesible for new players", even if that means dumbing down the mechanics and halving the damage and health of all the monsters essentially.

BF4 had dogshit maps and nerfed pretty much all the non-Assault Rifle guns into the ground. It also unbalanced vehicle combat dramatically and was just in general a direct downgrade from 3.
On top of that it had and still has an enormous cheater problem.

They do, that's why BFV removed most of the shitty mechanics of BF1 and buffed the movement. BFV and 2042 are definitely more fun to play than BF1 at least for me.

Air strafing would still glitch your hitbox but other than that it's pretty adequate

And BF6 movement will be even less broken than that. People are even reporting it's a lot slower than 2042 and they demand them to speed it up lol. ADS strafe speeds especially seems to be slow af currently.

BF1 has less tight gameplay and is not even a realistic depiction of ww1 for various reasons but it gets HUGE props from me because the infantry movement felt amazing, the sound design was on point, the maps all looked great, and the game had great atmosphere overall, in that game if you turn off your HUD and charge into battle you REALLY feel like a hopeless soldier charging into hell to die, and the operations game mode became my favorite and I stopped giving a shit about conquest, then BFV came out and operations became shittier and I didn't even bother to try out 2042 because once I heard the maps were apparently 5 times the size of classic battlefield maps and it was 50 vs 50 players I already sniffed that it was gonna be complete dogass.

they dumbed down running? I remember BF1 had a dive too right? Or was that BFV? Shit I don't remember but I liked the dive and I don't know how the movement in BF4 is better than BF1's or why BF1's would be bad.

Running speed of BF1 and BFV are slower, diving was in Frostbite BF since BF3 I believe. BF4 had air strafing/jumpshots, ADAD and crouch spam unlike BF1. BF1 doesn't have jumpshots, your accuracy will be all over the place and jumping is slow unlike BF3 or 4. ADAD or crouch spam is also not viable due to reduced player movement speeds. ADS strafe speeds are also reduced compared to 4. 4's bullpups gave extra ADS strafe speeds too. BF4 also had gazelle jumping I believe, not sure if it was used as much but I remember everyone jumping few times while running to gain momentum in 3. BF1 was designed with 1 aggressive movement in mind and it was sliding until they nerfed it to be unusable. BFV has a slide very similar to pre nerf BF1 slide and they also brought back jumpshots(but no air strafing) and added few other movement options such as crouch running and combat roll too. That's why I dislike BF1 movement. It had one aggressive movement option and they nerfed it. BF3-4-V and 2042 has much better skill expression.
