The reason it hasn't seen widespread adoption with artists and studios for both art and voice acting is because it's really bad at both with no real way to consistently edit or iterate on what it makes without completely regenerating it, what are you on about?

This is optimistic but there is going to be a limit to the amount of what it can do as every task that people do normally becomes exponentially more complicated beyond the base surface level. If it can't compute past the 80% of a task that's the easiest part of the process and into the portion that requires more complicated executive decisions then it's kind of worthless for most people working at a professional level and it won't elevate others to that level with no technical know-how.

It's really hard to say how long it will take for insane things to come out of AI, aside from health stuff which has already started happening. A lot of predictions have been blown the fuck out after just a couple of weeks or months in the past few years.

I think a big part of it is using AI to as a proofreader or editor for English writing. India has a LOT of ESLs, and a lot of ESLs will use ChatGPT or whatever LLM to edit their writing to make it sound more like a native English speaker or check for spelling and grammar errors. Of course, LLM outputs have their own writing quirks, which is why we are beginning to see LLM text ESLs be more associated with each other.

If I try to generate classic, rap or any popular types of music it usually sounds alright but as soon as you try to deviate from popular stuff your gens get infected by what sounds like typical top50/eurovision-like slop. Try to generate some black metal or DnB to see what I mean, the AI will always try to insert some sort of upbeat chorus or something that doesn't really fit with the genre.
