All while going back and forth through town I didnt skip tutorial, and constantly picked up eggs, like a lot of eggs.

has a bunch of resources and bosses, some unique mats get dropped there as well.

The game does this for all life challenges. With woodcutting for example you're almost certainly not going to be able to cut Great Palm Trees until you rank up at least once after the tutorial. The first game also had extremely high level enemies as challenges well before you can even beat them or reach the area, like the ghost atop the ice mountain with that dumb Trex blocking the way.

You gotta bear in mind that faraway island is actually very early on despite the fact that we both probably played for hours before doing that area, you can reach this mimic before making any real progress on even combat lives and he's close to a door that respawns him + a boss that potentially drops a Strangeling. Just saying it's neat how open ended the game is, basically.

Between the dailies that aren't really dailies, the islander quest spam, and the aimless town building, it really feels like a mobile game that got converted to a paid one but they haven't cleaned it up completely yet.
It would go a long way if they just moved the town building/seedling dungeons to post game after you resolve the main plot with the depths. And have a tighter island progression than mobile game tier quest spam.

If the selling point is having all these different "Lives" then why is every life exactly the same? It boils down to gathering, crafting, and combat, all of which are so similar to each other and interchangeable that they become context sensitive actions rather than entire Lives. They could have at least given them with slightly different minigames.

Good is quality. Quality is determined by the amount of turns it takes to complete an object. Your crafting stat increases how much percentage you gain per successful turn and taking too long doing a turn reduces how much you get. The better the quality the more and better skills you get attached. Good is having one skill.

Autocraft cant improve quality so if you need a good item you have to make it yourself. It can be the lowest tier of item that doesn't matter.
