Pyra < Hank, in terms of looks and cooking skill

Pyra < Hank, in terms of looks and cooking skill

pyrahankhill.jpg - 3076x2509, 2.98M

You can have the looks, but cooking skill? Do you even know how to grill with propane son?

I wonder if the reboot will suck or not. So far the trend seems to be yes. I am curious about 20 year old bobby though.

It's current year, with current year writers. You already know how this is going to go.

God. Please no...

Also like a quarter of the original voice actors have died. And they will have digital animation.

Hank would BWAAAAHH his way out of there the second he saw her tits.

he grills using propane.

Khan lives with Bill because Minh left him

grubhub, drones, VR, social media, political brainrot from 2016-2024 and Zoomer media are going to appear

Dale has a new VA

Its gonna fucking suck. I don't care if Judge is back, the climate of the world has not improved one bit since the original concluded.

A true man of God and a loving husband.
Peggy will peg him so hard for that

It'll be fine, Beavis and Butthead reboot was great.
The new promo art looks good too, they've adapter to the characters to modern times perfectly. Bill is still a fat slob and he orders their equivalent of UberEats now, Dale is still fucking around with tech in his shenanigans.

Hank get ipad

image0-6.jpg - 827x1024, 140.72K

Hank has been around nude women and all he talked to them about was propane and the importance of hardwork. He had a dream where Nancy appeared naked and his arousal came from the propane.

Khan lives with Bill because Minh left him

Huh?
That alone is reason to pass on it.

Everyone else looks noticeably older

Bill is still a fat fuck

I wonder why Dale would swap to e-cigs when the guy has smoked enough actual cigarettes to kill a normal man that it confused the cigarette company he bought from.

OLD show with NEW things

so fucking boring and soulless

one time thing with a man in a parking lot

ends up changing his fashion to match

Kino.

hal.png - 1080x817, 858.38K

Hank sporting that 10k yard stare

Boomhauer looks just about done with all this shit

The one thing the reboot could do to justify existing is let Bill actually be happy for once and stop his self doubt

Dale has a new VA

It should be required to mention that Hardwick died. It's not like he was replaced just because.

Nancy probably asked him to after she started liking him again.

Dang ol Mega Lo, man.

You can't really replace the guy so I hope the new VA does something different. Would be funny if they gave a reason for him sounding different too. Like he smoked too much or something.

Sometime around when KOTH ended is when more places put an emphasis on secondhand smoke and ensuring places are smoke free. Oh sure most places did that already but it didn't really take off until the 2010's. At least he isn't smoking weed.

grubhub, drones, VR, social media, political brainrot from 2016-2024 and Zoomer media are going to appear

So like King of the Hill? Are you conveniently forgetting the American Chopper and MySpace episodes?

I would rather the show not be made at all, it ended on a good note with Bobby and Hank bonding over something and the rest of the neighborhood getting together for a cookout. Why can't it just be left there? Why must we go back to this?

blew his throat out from all the fags

sounds like a dalek now so you can't bitch about them cheaping out with the AI

Killing two birds with one stone desu

Please name 1 cartoon reboot that didn't suck and/or isn't infested with obnoxious writers trying to push their CURRENT YEAR agenda (whatever side it is, I don't care). I don't count Futurama because that was more of a continuation

Animaniacs had it

Clone High had it

It's all garbage. Shwarbage.

It'll sell

need money.gif - 320x240, 980.56K

inserting hank hill and peter griffon is the same sorta humor as making lulrandom ugly abominations in character creation of rpgs.

Or that time Hank met George W Bush?

That was later season KotH which were declining in quality. From the golden age the best might be Kaypro to iMac episode of the top of my head. I feel like it hardly touched on trendy tech and culture.

Why can't it just be left there? Why must we go back to this?

Same reason why everything is getting dredged up from the past. The line still needs to go up but they don't have the balls let alone spare capital to actually try something new for once.

I complained about those episodes too. Before the show ended, Arlen was also being gentrified to hell when its appeal was being an average, unmemorable small town. And you can't compare Myspace to the inevitable Fortnite default dance episode with GH or when they reference orange man and Hilary.

Animaniacs and Clone High are precisely why I worry. I haven't watched Hulurama but the Comedy Cetral era left a bad taste in my mouth.

To who? That is my eternal question to all these reboots with a lack of soul and made by people who clearly don't want to nor like the material. I'm just so tired of it all...

I have more faith in this (and Judge) than I did for Futurama's latest return, which I still haven't watched.

I didn't even know Futurama came back.

miss me yet?

grilling with propane instead of charcoal

Americans don't actually do this, right?

Queer icon

Were in the nostalgia pandering, reboot, sequel, revival, remake phase of the cultural zeitgest. Never in my mind growing up did I imagine Lion King would not only get remade but have a prequel/sequel to that fucking remake.

I only found out about it because Bender's VA was getting talked about getting replaced and he ended up getting a raise to come back instead.

They had the Late Philip J Fry, and maybe another episode. But that one alone made going through all the garbage in those seasons worth it.

Wasn't planning on this becoming KotH hour, but whatever makes you guys happy

Pyra Candle.png - 542x768, 457.65K

THERE ARE NO GRATES ON THAT GRILL

I was pleasantly surprised that they're apparently only jumping 8 years ahead, not 18 like everyone was worried.

I still can't believe people are falling for the live action remake slop disney is doing. Snow White might have failed but I have a feeling Lilo and Stitch will make money and they'll continue from there. Can they at least remake the bad stuff too, they might have a chance to make it better like The Black Cauldron.

The problem is the way writers write now:

In the past:

I have xyz political positions. These will influence my work but I will make sure the final product is more about the work being good/funny, and that the characters continue to hold their own beliefs not just copy mine exactly.

Post 2020:

I have xyz political positions. I must use my work to push these beliefs in a new medium, as doing so is an absolute good and enriching the world, which is more important than making a good show or having the characters stay in character.

Oh no, more of the same thing but now in current times? Crazy

Sometimes you don't have time to wait for the charcoal to heat up, you need heat now and propane provides that. Or you don't have a way to safely dispose of the charcoal after you're done, so again, you use propane. But given the choice, yes, we will use charcoal because it gives you better flavor.

Anon Babble will do anything to not talk about video games. At least this might be better discussion than on Anon Babble.

Were in the nostalgia pandering, reboot, sequel, revival, remake phase of the cultural zeitgest.

We've been here for the past 20 years

Not a grill, then, it's a griddle. Maybe there are some pancakes on the other side that we can't see.

Theyre gonna use this as an excuse to bring back all the one off characters that they can arent they.

Modern south park does this way too much now.

KotH has an inconsistent timeline in general. Bobby was both a Gameboy kid and a Gamecube one.

Favorite episode? Little Horrors of Shop has always been one of my top picks

I do not have time to fire up charcoal every time I want to grill

If anything I feel like they're axing characters like John Redcorn. I understand the VAs a mental case but still.

The Snow White live action remake was a total bomb, so people are clearly not buying it anymore and Disney now has to contend with the fact that they're last actual successful movie was a rerelease of Revenge of the Sith.

That's dumb. You're dumb. You really think Hank and Peggy would be giving him the newest video game toys?
Even I was using a GBC during the Gamecube era.

Propane board, degenerate.

When you find the answer please tell me because I am curious too. The only reboot I kind of liked was Samurai Jack, and even that let me down quite a bit. Anytime I see a new show get rebooted or remade these days all I can think of is some executives using an algorithim to determine which show should be rebooted next.

My calculations show me that... A reboot of Ed, Edd, and Eddie should be released in 2027 for maximum profit!

For video games, I think remakes can be okay every once in awhile if they add new content, keep to the original image as close as possible, and make much needed improvements at least.

Well they probably would replace his actor just like with Khan's because of racial actor bullshit now too

they're axing the only Native American in the show and prominent Native American in any adult sitcom cartoon

Wait which episode had a gamecube ?

Yeah, a GBC, not the puke brick from '89. And thats the more leniant technology jump.

I'm watching KoH for the first time and getting through season 1 which is just...fine. does it get any better or fall off at any point?

Well well well.

In the past

How far in the past?
The Adventures of Superman radio show writers specifically had the Man of Steel tackle domestic political issues like antisemitism, political corruption, bigotry and racism. And this was the 1940s, right after World War II.

I meant more in a sense. I dont think he actually had a gamecube. He did have an N64.

who would Pyra like hers down?

I assume hank and his family are middle class they are rich in their timeline

injuns haven't been relevant since the early 2000s

gets tomahawked because they aren't a big and influential enough demograph to actually cause a scene

Grim

he had a gamecube in a sense

but he didn't actually have a gamecube

That doesn't make any sense.

John Redcorn's first VA was Native American and was replaced by someone with Native American lineage after he died early into the show (which I had no idea about until now)

Having Superman fight the Clan of the Fiery Cross, and it affect the actual Ku Klux Klan was something I find mildly amusing.

I feel like it picks up the more you know Kahn and Cotton. The fall off might be post season 6 but the stuff afterward isn't bad. That is until Lucky comes on screen which I don't know how anons feel about his character.

It's kind of like Simpsons where season 1 is a little dry and it picks up way more afterwards

Why are you assuming something that has an answer?

timeline

What?

You're weird, but it's not a matter of money. Hank and Peggy just aren't attuned to that stuff. Hank thinks video games are dumb and bad for Bobby.

I think the episode where Hank has to show Bobby just how much they actually make and it causes Bobby to have better responsibility with money tells me that they're probably on the lower end of middle class.

prominent Native American in any adult sitcom cartoon

some homewrecking creep with people eating ancestors that lives in a trailer by himself

Wew lad

Bobby was also shown reading an Invincible comic. When did that come out as a comic? In the 2000's? He'd definitely have a Gamecube.

I've learned to adapt. All of my favorite franchises WILL go to shit in my lifetime no matter what I do. The masses could vote with their wallet and yet everything will be shit purely because Hollywood doesn't wanna shake up the execs that greenlight the shit. Such is the passage of time. I will always love the old stuff and watch anything new that comes out that somehow is good, but the fun is watching just how bad it gets. It's like a TLC documentary but instead of a fat hoarder it's Terminator fucking up a film again.

I meant the era of technology that they lived in. If you went on Myspace then the 6th gen consoles were out as well. But I guess I worded it in a retarded manner.

I have this gut feelings they're going to ruin this like they did with Beavis & Butthead.

King of The Hill has always made references to current trends.

2004 iirc.

It's better responsibility compared to believing he was genuinely a millionaire, lol. Doesn't say much. Having what they have plus mouths to feed is doing alright.

If they're middle class it's lower middle class. Hank repairs and maintains as much of his property as he is physically capable of maintaining. I think plumbing is the only thing he has no knowledge of because there was an episode about his dog being racist for biting a plumber that came to fix his water heater.

These days, you can make a movie about how dumb they were like Killers of the Flower Moon, but show one being evil and dishonest towards a good hearted family, and all of a sudden, it's an issue.

Just ignore the new reboot shit

You forget some more interesting details:

he cheated on Nancy when they were dating, also has another kid with a single mom hes never done anything for

made a shitty band with some rednecks that was so awful dive bars refused to let them play

his only son looks up to the man whos wife he banged more than himself

this son also being just as spergy and conspiracy obsessed as his dad

hah

Propane is God's gas.

Knowing Disney, they may interpret that as people wanting more re-released movies, which means re-releasing the Star Wars sequels in theaters again.
I think it gets a bit better past the first season like the other anons said. It does start getting a bit stale when Lucky shows up later, but thats not till much later.

To be fair he didn't know about the second kid until that episode, and I remember it ends with him moving in with her to help raise the kid(who was almost literally Joseph but a girl).

I thought they decided that they can't use Khan because Tobie Huss isn't Asian? Also, Tobie is the new voice for Dale.

Don't forget that time he deliberately ruined some woman's marriage again to stop his 2 bastard children from unintentionally engaging in a bit of incest. That was...definitely a trip. Meanwhile Dale couldn't even be tempted by a woman who was practically salivating for him.

Depends on what's being cooked.
Steak and burger? Charcoal.
Chicken, sausage, hot dog, anything griddle? Propane.
Essentially anything that has mild seasoning you want the charcoal to enhance the flavor of the meat.

If it was just some series getting terrible sequels and we could ignore them, that would be fine. But the IP holders are going out of their way to use the new stuff to erase the old stuff. Or, in the case of companies like WB and Disney, even blocking people from seeing the old stuff by not printing more DVDs/BDs and removing/editing them on their streaming service. Now that DEI money is drying up, some of the companies are rushing to reverse it. But not the biggest ones like the two I named.

franchises actually use delivery drones?

this Mike Judge-produced media might be contemporary and topical

GASP

Judge's Beavis and Butthead revival has been great. I think it will be fine.

Meanwhile Dale couldn't even be tempted by a woman who was practically salivating for him.

Keep dreaming lady, my wife is twice as hot as you and throws more sex at me than I know what to do with.

Always loved that line.

Nancy did not deserve Dale.

The two most funniest outcomes of that series was the show successful did stiff arm the Klan's third revival and the Klan tried to engage in cancel culture by pushing a boycott on the shows sponsors like Kellogg, which only caused the sponsors to double down on their support.
And if you actually have listened to the 'Klan of the Fiery Cross', you should give 'The Hate Mongers Organization' a listen too since that focuses on religious bigotry, and addressed the whole 'It can't happen here' with fascism.
youtube.com/watch?v=zgLNvuJEtqg

They're bringing it back to talk about a heckin racism! And a heckin Orange man!

Why did bill still the same ?

Hank repairs and maintains as much of his property as he is physically capable of maintaining

That was very common 30-40 years ago in every socioeconomic class. My grandparents had so much money they literally lost count and would just stash piles of cash all over the property because going to the bank was too much of a hassle. When my grandfather died my grandmother took over mowing their 2 acre property and did it until she broke her hip at 91. Yes I tried to do it for her because I wanted to earn some money, she told me no because if I got injured my parents would sue her (which was hilariously false).
Before the internet, hiring someone to repair something you could do yourself easily was a monumental waste of money. For two, men in particular still had a smidgen of self respect and actually wanted to fix it themselves. For three, jewnigger corpos hadn’t yet sabotaged your ability to fix your own property with software horseshit and government regulations.

It can't happen here

Meanwhile the Soviets were spending millions, possibly hundreds of millions to infiltrate Hollywood

Yep, definitely can't happen here, ha ha....heh. I'm positive things are as gay as they are specifically because the Soviets wanted to find ways to undermine American ideals in any way possible and Hollywood didn't care about where all that money was coming from.

season 3 is where it hits full stride. honestly i enjoyed the show until season 10

But she deserved John Redcorn.

thot

Those ridiculous DeviantArt crossovers in the 2000s

Remember what AIjeets took from you.

Exactly

And? Are you going to prove the writers of Superman were on the take oh ghost of McCarthy?

He was already at rock bottom

This. 100%.

My exact feelings with Larian dredging up the Baldur's Gate IP to shit all over the ending and story.

Two cheaters who were in it for the thrill and one of them slept with other women while they were cheating. Nancy deserves if anything, eternal loneliness. The absolute best wife on the show was Minh.

5ty7hj.png - 1051x799, 797.02K

Not Superman, but the writers of The Crucible certainly were. There were a bunch of commie writers at the time who were trying to write a bunch of subversive stuff but got butthurt when people got the wrong message from it.

And it won't end here either. They've gone beyond scraping the barrel by substituting the stew with tetanus, dirt and sawdust,

Probably. This is giving me Hulu Futurama vibes too.

Well I'm talking about the Superman radio show, so your attempt to create a guilt by association doesn't hold a lick of salt with it.

Minh had a surprising amount of air time showing her to be oddly friendly to the "redneck" characters than Khan ever was. Hell, she even played off Hank better than Peggy, but Peggy got arguably worse as the show went on.

Obviously nothing is universal, Anon. You're gonna be able to find counterexamples to everything.

But speaking in broad terms, stories in the 90s and 00's (the generations I'm not familiar with) didn't push a political message beyond very broad "Family good", "Racism bad" ones.

Superman also had comics where he fought the Reds and the Nazis, so he was a little too American at the time to subvert. It wasn't until I think the early 2000's when his motto of "truth, justice, and the American way" got changed.

so are you Chinese or Japanese

[bone crunching intensifies]

But given the choice, yes, we will use charcoal because it gives you better flavor.

Placebo. There's no blind taste tests that prove charcoal tastes better.

It's literally just something boomers tell themselves to justify the extra hassle. It's like all those overcomplicated cooking recipies that don't change anything (It doesn't matter if you stir clockwise or anticlockwise, that doesn't affect how the ingredients interact).

And a heckin Orange man!

Judge is conservative, and the Beavis and Butthead revival has had a movie and two seasons and none of it was political or preachy.

Minh doesn't outwardly express her frustration and disdain as much as Khan does. They've also been according to her, chased out of neighborhoods before either due to past beef with neighbors or Khan himself. I feel like also being the daughter of a military general in Laos disciplined her more than Khan who came from a poor family and was a biker rebel as a teen.

so he was a little too American at the time to subvert.

Sups has always been all American, he just focused on the evils within for that post world war II period and was pretty on nose with stuff like.

The Klan's unamerican credo is one race, one religion, one color.

Why is nothing sacred anymore. I never imagined koth would have a reboot

Dale was far too good for the way he got treated.

Epic crossover my fellow redditor, updoot

You say that as if it's an insult. Reddit isn't any better nor worse than here

It is worse because redditors would actively cringe at fun stupid crossovers. No one else cared except this one anon.

it was mostly because minh was a rich girl in laos while khan was poor as fuck so she was able to assimilate better
the shows writing was so solid to be able to express such little details like this
even in the way khan sings cheesey dated american pop songs
ive literally had a fresh from the border spanish guy sing blondie in front of me just like he sang micky

superhans is a better plumber than hank hill

superhans is a crack smoking bellend

I wonder if Hank and Peggy adopted GH and Gracie. The former because Cottons dead and Didi was a deadbeat and the latter because both Brittany Muprhy and Tom Petty passed on.

They may have failed to infiltrate hollywood, but they were fare more successful at infiltrating academia.

Also helps that Minh and Dale at least share interests. They both enjoy shooting.

He's not Japanse, he's laotian

Ain't ya, Mr. Kahn?

It's even funnier on rewatch because you know that of course Cotton would be able to tell the difference, he's a WW2 vet and he served in the Pacific Theatre.

So was I though, it's not that wild.

The only validity to this statement at ALL is that Bhaal has returned with new Bhaalspawn because [contrivances] and is up to his shenanigans again. If this weren't the case I would say you are dumb as shit for complaining that a setting intrinsically designed for infinite replayability had another sequel.

Go fucking kill yourself and do humanity the only favor you'll ever give it in your pathetic, worthless lifetime

You fucking disgust me

tasting the heat

There was an episode about this, and hank ended up bending the knee and agreeing that charcoal was better for grilling.

Was that the one where he found out Peggy and Bobby preferred charcoal burgers?

That was when Khan made burgers with mesquite.

yeah

What's even the point of grilling with propane? It's odorless and tasteless, you're literally just cooking on a stovetop but with extra steps. The entire point of grilling is to add that smoky flavour from the charcoal into the food

Pyra's whole deal is her cooking skill, Mythra constructed her to be her polar opposite, Mythra is such a shit cook that Pyra being a wonder chef is an actual plot point.

Better portability and easier setup and takedown. For tailgate parties a propane grill is better because it and the tank will take up less space, so you have more room in your car for stuff to grill.

It's easier and more convenient in exchange for not tasting as good. Coals take time light and heat up, gas you just instantly switch on or off and raise/lower the temp with a knob
