Anime characters are highly stylized. They have no race, no real race has a mosquito bite nose, simple lines for a mouth and lack of lips, and china plate sized eyes. Trying to translate anime designs into more realistic ones is impossible because of how stylized and simplified the style is hence context matters a lot more. Anime characters of any race share the same type of stylization, see the Bondocks for black characters drawn in moe style.
