New MGS3 Opening
The imagery is great but the new song arrangement sucks
METAL GEAR SOLID DELTA
It sounds fine, you just hate change.
what happened to the soul?
why not just use the original song that is so classic and loved? why even waste the fucking money?
Don't get me wrong, it's not bad at all or anything. Just worse than the original in my opinion, less emotion somehow.
These weird subtle change just make it even more solid (heh) for me that Delta is some weird alternative timeline and something fucky's going on.
demake
not playing
SIGMA SIGMA BOY SIGMA BOY SIGMA BOY
The singing sound different. The song is redone?
Oh I just read the description. It's redone
kojima left
Sounds really flaccid. Like nobody warmed up beforehand
Just worse than the original in my opinion
autotune
It looks good but it doesn't sound as good as it should
Like they were afraid to let the instruments sing like the original
It was as if they had to be quiet or else they'd get in trouble
They should have remade 2.
The only flaw in it is the weird autotuning on the last "CRIIIIIME" to add more motion that wasn't necessary. It's a pretty good rendition otherwise. It's fun that they didn't just go with the original recording or have Donna Burke or someone else do the rerecord. I like that they brought Cynthia Harrell back after 20 years.
They're definitely doing that, depending on how well Delta Snake Eater does. The next thing we'll be getting is probably an MGS1 remake, then onto 2.
nah, it sounds like it was remade for an end credit song.
jeremy soul didn't work on this game
She’s probably just got a lot older, can’t reach those same notes as easily anymore
The visuals aren't really that good either. Without filters and effects it looks too clean like it's just UE5 scenes with snake skellies floating around.
It won't be a remake. It'll launch a new series set in a separate timeline. All a big ruse.
Still the same monkey singing it tho. I fucking hate japans obsession with getting browns to sing shit for games and anime
Without filters and effects it looks too clean
This was my main thought. The clean visuals gives it much less of that bond fever dream feeling.
I agree with the other anon as well that the instrumentation was a bit subdued, but I think the singing on its own is fine.
There's literally no reason to believe that. They're reusing the voice lines and they're even bringing back Snake Vs. Monkey.
The only way I can see it working is if they pull a Ghost Babel and put in a different post credits scene that implies it's a simulation or something.
Why would they call it weird shit like Delta? It "looks" as faithful as they come compared to many other remakes (compare to RE2 or RE4, for instance). And yet they're being much more coy with it.
They're reusing the voice lines and they're even bringing back Snake Vs. Monkey.
Because most of the game will be a 1-to-1 recreation, until weird inconsistencies start to appear.
its ass
Let's just spoil the game game in the intro
What is this shit?
They literally put the credits from the original game in the opening in lieu of crediting the people who actually made it.
They literally couldn't have recorded anything new for Volgin or Granin because their Japanese voice actors are fucking dead. You could probably get away with leaving Granin the same, but there's no way you could introduce wrinkles to the story that wouldn't affect Volgin.
It's a game for those who finished the original.
Besides, you wouldn't get spoiled on these with no context. Even the Boss moment doesn't really tell you anything in a vacuum.
Japs love that shit
Kojima didn't have this problem tho
Nothing gets spoiled. You just get the introductions to the Cobra Unit, the leap of faith scene, and the Boss's boss fight deprived of context. You learn all about the Cobras and have multiple encounters with The Boss in the first half hour of the game. Nothing gets spoiled.
Kojima didn't make MGS2 intro?
There is a connection. a delta or triangle has 3 sides. Still lame though
Indeed, it is inferior
Its just a remaster
It didn't spoil anything tho
It shows one of the endgame scenes just like this intro.
still a fine singer but the performance is more polished with less energy and desperation
It's not even close. MGS2 intro only spoiler is showing Solidus for 2 nanoseconds but you don't even know who the fuck he is at this point. This intro literally shows the final battle lmao
Where's caramel to tell me the implications of this
4
no survival mechanics from survive
trash
MGS2 had stuff to be spoilered, nothing happens in 3's story, it's just a long journey to kill the boss
it sounds somewhat off but still fine i guess but man, listening to the original and then this, it's like day and night
why didn't they just use the original? is this one of those cases where they change a certain amount and then don't have to pay for it or something?
