I liked Adewale from AC Black Flag and whatever his expansion was called. I remember people calling that "woke" but it was just consistent for the time where those games took place. Edward asking him will he return to Africa with his share of gold because he would probably feel more welcome there, and him saying "would you feel more welcome in Paris?" is something that everyone can related to no matter the skin color. Just because you share someone race doesnt mean that you automatically belong.
