Bullets and other weapons can 'detach' a person from the act of killing.
That's what the head seems to want to avoid and so they limit the capability of guns to try and prevent that.
Instead of guns being cheap ways to kill they're now expensive tech requiring large investments even for those who are better off.
Each bullet carries more weight not only because of the life you could take but because it hurts your survival too so its harder to detach from the act.

EGO weapons as a whole inherently have that attachment because they are formed by the inner mind of a person and require a constant struggle of the mind to maintain (especially extracted EGOs as they often influence the behaviour of those using it).

This part is good though it forces you to actually interact with the mechanics of a fight.
You can't just ignore the rupture or it will eventually eat through you having to think about cycling sinner clashes is better than just clash and forget.
The issue here is that there needs to be a way to get rid of the stack consistently.
Bleed fights managed this by nature of bleed self deleting count so as long as you didn't clash into a high count and high pot dump back to back you where good.
But because rupture is an on-hit effect the fight needed more unbreakable coins with
