I actually drove through that region once, passed through on a month-long road trip through the western US in my friends beater Honda Civic.
It's actually a breathtaking place. It's just endless rolling farmlands. Incredibly scenic and beautiful, but the farmlands weren't as pristine as what I saw in Idaho. From a plane, these flyover places look like ugly, squared shitholes. From right next to them, a lot more iconic. Idaho in particular was shockingly nice, that I mention it. But I believe that photo was taken in the agricultural lands of California.
