Hops on your path

doooood more brown more bloom more fog

people say this game looks good btw

what if we keep the bloom and fog but instead of brown it's blue

very betiful sirs

Why are you on a board about games when you don't play games and judge them all by screenshots?

this shit looks even worse in motion don't lie

You browns just look for things to be mad about.

What was his problem?

How do i beat him, bros?
He won't stop jumping on me.

What's that? You don't want to parry/dodge 30+ times in a row? Too bad

Fuck this enemy. He'll literally bounce like 30 times; I shit you not.

huh you can parry that? thought it's dodge only
skipped him for now, even when i hit him a few times i barely grazed his HP. I'm guessing he's meant for higher levels

kicks your fucking butt

Just dodge bro, if you dodge enough times he will get tired and explode

Nice feet
I managed to get Maelle's high level weapon through sheer luck of her only using her very basic moves, the gradient counter and the jump into gradient counter, several times in a row. Plus an instant gratification setup letting me do 50% of her health in one hit. Not bothering trying with anyone else

LITERALLY impossible

A lot of enemies in the game are actually end-game field bosses/bosses in general. Don't feel bad if you can't do anything to them. You really need to at least get to Act III before you can start doing any kind of damage on them. I was level 85 when I beat the game, but you can level up fairly quickly by Act III with all the side dungeons and stuff.

It feels like the developers really wanted players to have something to strive for/do towards the end of the game, so they made a lot of stuff around the map really strong for late game activities I suppose. I would honestly recommend you be anywhere between level 65-80 before tackling certain end game dungeons and bosses. I'm just picking an arbitrary number, maybe lower is fine? It really depends on your build how confidence you are, but I really didn't start decimating shit until I got to around level 70-75.

Self destructs after enough parries

it's ok i enjoy that

I don't get it, the game looks terrible to me too. It's not objectively ugly but the artstyle just feels very generic and unappealing to me

artificial difficulty.

how is it artificial? it's real

post the best girl

come back when you're stronger

Hints:
he has a ton of HP so you can kill him, but doing so is meant for later game. However, he will self destruct after bouncing something like 156 times so you can just wait it out and beat him that way. Hope you can parry/dodge well. .

were these areas meant to be full dungeons and cut down due to time/budget? or were they always meant to be just this

So the last thing I need for Platinum in this game is defeating fucking Simon . I'm curious, did any of you anons beat the fight without cheese? I've already fought him like a dozen times. His first stage is a cake walk but I literally can't survive the second phase longer than 2 turns. It's frustrating because to get there and practice the parrying you have to go through the whole first stage again and then I get like one turn to practice before I have to do it again. His normal moves from first stage with the second shadow Simon I have down pretty well but I cannot get the timing of that new attack where he does like 10 attacks in a row .

No. I basically got to the point I could comfortably get to his 3rd phase without issues, but then he does the most giga bullshit thing I've seen any superboss do and he deletes the party, forcing you to use your backup dogshit party while getting a MASSIVE power up, each attack hitting 4x times.

So I said fuck it and cheesed him with a gommage build. Fuck him.

start building tanky then
people have absolute endgame builds up where they're eating every single hit from those overtuned trial bosses and barely taking damage

Completely dominates whoever comes at her

Simon steals all Shields

Simon attacks at light speed

The dead are removed from the Canvas

The Expedition is removed from the Canvas

soon as i got to the point my party got punted out i respecced maelle 0/99/73/99/0 and 50 millioned his fuckin ass straight to the finish line

were these areas meant to be full dungeons and cut down due to time/budget?

Yes. Act 3 is a ton of cut content and whatever dungeons they had ready slapped together.
Hope for a GOTY edition

Stendahls

Nothing personnel kid

I NEED TO COOM TO MAELLE

A good portion of my party has >9000 HP and he still KO's them within 2 hits so I'm not sure how much tankier i can be, but I'll see.

*IN

*in the vicinity of

Hp isn't tanky, shields are but really that nigga is anti tanky no matter what you build

Any coomer mods for Sciel?

Working out how to 1 shot him with a few key pictos missing well before max level was a fun puzzle in itself. I used Monoccoto break and mark, then double Cruler Barrier on Maelle for the extra damage off Powerful Shield. That and roulette with the usual Sciel buffs just about cinched it.

why does this game remind me of folklore?

The Light Speed attack is easy to parry when you figure out the timing. The last one where he slams a giant sword can be hard but the trick is to focus on his sword when he's holding it up then when you start to see him swing his sword down is when you parry it. The phase 3 Long Combo is what you REALLY need to worry about since you have to parry 18 times

answer the question

Fuck my life, I'm going to have to do this stupid fight like 50 fucking times aren't I?

Show one example of a game that matches this ones style

NTA but I never used dodges for my whole playthrough seemed pointless when you could potentially get counter hits. However if you do use dodges when you see "perfect dodge" that means you hit the timing for a parry

just dodge

156 times

You should be able to one shot the first phase
I think it's a good idea to fight his first two phases solo, actually

There is another boss flying above him that gives you curse resist.

i thought ground hits can only be dodged and only melee hits can be parried

You can literally kill him by parrying like a hundred times, I did it by accident cause he wiped my party and I decided to practice on him.

Ugliest fucking character design I have ever fucking seen

It's the Overworld map, it's meant to be more stylised, try playing the game if you're going to moan about it for a month straight.

OH MY FUCKIGN SCIENCE ANOTHER UE5 SHART WITH PARRY

I MUSTG BUY

I AM RETARDED NORMIE I LOVE SHARTS

Either that or mini homages to PSX era JRPGs with single screen pre-rendered backgrounds you traverse. Most likely a mix of both.

You probably thinks that looks cool when it's literal dogshit. You are a slop eater, you eat dogshit and hey that's fine but why do you have to post that here.

I just hit act 3 and everything seems way above my level still.
I did the first two trials in the endless tower then the third one had a guy with 1 billion hp.
Should I just go to old lumiare right away?
I feel like I will just stumble into the final boss and the game will end.

He starts with 2 attacks, adding 2 more each round, and self destructs after having its turn that consists of 24 attacks in total.
You don't need to parry any of them. You just need to survive.

There are no dodge only attacks. Every attack that you can dodge, you can also parry.

zero visual feedback or any indication that the boss is hurting itself or growing tired

Almost as bad as the crystal rock boss that pretends it's character model glitched out

Fight the Axon and then Lumiere. Maybe even Lumiere first. If you do all the side shit, you're going to be way overleved for Lumiere.

lies of P

He has a heart attack and dies after a 28 or 30 string attack

that would ruin the fight

but I'll see

No you fucking won't see. No amount of "defense" can deal with Simon's bullshit. That one anon was a retarded faggot who never fought him.

I killed him around level 35.
It was hard but I suck at videogames.
just use the picto that makes healing potions cleanse

2048x2048 texture on small object next to 128x128 texture on big object

that fucking stone also has visible seams on uv-unwrap

Avowed, Outer Worlds, etc. any shitty "realistic" indie UE5 game looks just like this

googled the maelle one shot

another person who didnt beat the game

kys schizo

I did it without cheese, well. for the most part. I fought him normally up until phase 3 where he wipes your main party, but then in phase three I made sure to 1 shot him, granted thats only 20% of his health.

First part I used Verso, Lune, Monocco, then in phase 3 I buffed with sciel and finished him with Maelle.

From what your problems are, the only real advice is practice parrying. I recommend focusing purely on defense, just to revive as much as humanly possible(when he doesn't remove from painting), and practice his phase two as much as you can, use the pictos for auto revive to give you more chances.

Once you have his phase 1 combos on lock down, phase two combos should be easy to parry, because its adding extras of the same swings. His two new attacks will be the hardest to get down, but you will get it with practice.

All of his combos have a sort of rhythm, you will get it down over time, I recommend not fucking with phase 3 because its insane and hes low health anyway, thats why I save sciel and maelle for party 2, to just insta-gib him in phase 3. Or... you can fight him down to like 30-40% in phase three, then go for a one shot with Maelle.

You dodge him every time he crosses the ground line and eventually he self destructs after like 12 turns. Many of the parry and dodge bosses, you find a constant fixed point on the screen they cross over and slam the button as it passes and this is much easier than looking for cues. Also guidewriters are retards who keep suggesting parrying instead of dodging for stupid reasons

Lune can also revive units with her skill (rebirth) and heal with revitalise and monocco can print shields using cruler's barrier. Also get in media res from running through dark shores and solidifying if you are in act 2, this gives shields.

HOW DO I BEAT A BOSS IN THE GAME WERE I PARRY AND DODGE

BRO

WHO CAN I BEAT THE DODGERINO PARRIERINO

picto that makes healing potions

Haven't used it since early game.

Thread is full of jeets and bots

aka E33's target audience

For Simon during the second phase just make sure that you break him when he is around 50% health and then focus dps on him and use Maelle's gommage to finish him off. If you break him at 50% you should be able to keep him stunned until you can get his health to around 30% at which point you just use gommage to finish him off before the stun ends and he enters the 3 phase and wipes your main team. I'm pretty sure gommage auto-kills any enemy that has 30% health or less regardless of damage stats.

sword flies right through the ground

Shills should be banned

people are so parryminded that they don't even realize you get the same result by dodging

The parry meme has gone a bit too far

it's 5 points to remove curse, stun, charm, and whatever other nonsense the game was

OH MY FORNITE

I PRESSED THE PARRY BUTTON

You don't need to parry nor dodge anymore even a single time from the very moment you recruit Sciel on Expert for all contentuntil they nerf Chation, Card Weaver & Delaying Slash which they will

bro forgot this was a turn-based game

Counters do a ton of damage so it isn't the same.

Gets parried

Blows up afterwards

What did they mean by this?

i don't watch, play or support Unreal shart 5 games and unreal shart media unless it's shitting on the cancer killing the industry.

Don't reply to me ever again pajeet

In this case it is unless you wait till way later in the game when you can actually kill him with a few counters.

I accept your concession

simply by bumping this thread you probably convinced someone to buy the game

Yea but when you little bitches do what I tell you to it makes it that much better. Looks nothing like e33 btw that game has an ugly cartoony aesthetic not on par with goty you clearly didn't play it go jeet post elsewhere

Bumping

It's not the same. You can build your characters around parry or dodge or neither,.

Does he self destruct when you flee?
I think I literally started fleeing before his final attack but one of my characters hadn't initiated flee and so he self destructed right before me fleeing.

Me when I have a migraine.

No, it dies after you dodge through something like 28 consecutive hits

It's 20 parries, and then he blows up in anger
