June Nintendo Direct predictions thread

What games do you think will be announced at the June Direct Anon Babble?

The same leaker who claimed that Ubisoft were working on a remake of a Rayman game (which Ubisoft later confirmed) said Nintendo approached various third parties to port some games to keep supporting the Switch 1. The leaker said one of these games is Rayman 3 so we'll probably see a Rayman 3 switch port announced

she thinks there's going to be a june direct

See you in September

Nintendo always holds at Direct in June

dude they will stay silent for the launch and 6 months later because THE LE WILL OK

What games do you think will be announced at the June Direct Anon Babble?

more ports/remakes of Sony IPs

KEK

THIS time i'll be r-right...

DK lauline twist and real box art reveal
minecraft, master chief collection, zoom the quake ages (these seem like the microsoft games most likely to get spotlighted in a direct, gears of war will probably be saved for microsoft's own event)
mario + rabbids 2 port? we've known it's in the pipeline for a while
probably no air riders news until more time has passed since mario kart's release, could easily get its own direct later, but maybe they'll start promoting it right away, who knows
a bunch of stupid dogshit indie games no one cares about
maybe one shadowdrop of a nintendo budget game like good job
we haven't got any gacha games yet. genshin? P5X?
silksong release date will get saved for the xbox event i think
maybe more switch 2 upgrades for switch 1 games? pikmin 4 is begging for it

Switch 2 ports of Metaphor Refantazio, P3R, and Expedition 33.

Since Bananza looks to be done by the Odyssey team, i'm hoping theres a new Mario Maker to tie in the Mario needs in me.

I'm not expecting huge announcements 1P yet, more 3P support most likely. We're already getting what, 3-4 huge games this year. Maybe WW/TP for Switch 1 and 2. They've been rumored forever and they gotta release them at some point. At the twilight years of Switch makes sense and first year for S2.

Hope they announce Xenoblade x remastered for PC

the reveal trailer had too many westernshit games, I hope they reveal more modest Anime looking games this time.

I want to see more of Bananza which they will undoubtedly show more of at least a while before its July release. We really haven't seen what more there is to the game other than break environments for collectibles, throw the right material and right material, fight some enemies, and do quick 30 second Odyssey-esque challenges.

Since Sony seems willing to let their smaller IPs like Patapon go multiplat, when is Loco Roco coming to Switch?

Wind Waker is coming to GameCube on NSO, they're not porting WWHD to Switch 2.

I have bad news for you anon...

Nintendo already came out and hinted that "they're aware of the demand for physical" which basically confirms it without announcing it. It's corpo speak. Nintendo isn't gonna throw away millions of sales for no reason. The WW remaster in particular is badly needed because the WW original is a pain to play. I'm not going through that again. ALSO don't forget Nintendo wants the original Switch to keep selling and they've promised to keep supporting it. Hell they supported the 3DS, WW/TP would be easy and it'd sell a lot too.

preorders below 750k globally

panic behind the scenes

i agree it's happening, but you're delusional if it will be anytime soon
my guess is they will release it around the 2nd half of Switch 2 life to cover some lull in releases.

Obvious ports like, Doom tda Persona 3 remake, Methaphor, Nier replicant, Monster Hunter, Sparking zero
New Switch 2 versions, hopefully for the Xenoblade games
New shit like something for Fire Emblem, a new Wario ware with switch 2 gimmicks, or an old Ip revival
More info about DragxDrive, Mp4 release date, Duskbloods and Bananza
And random shit here and there, like indies or low profile games

Animal Crossing will be announced for a November release

too early for animal crossing
that's not a game you drop on launch year

Not back in the 3DS days but it's their biggest franchise now

Most people are just waiting for an actual release date for MP4 at this point. Expectations for the Switch 2 are in the toilet after the disaster that was the announce/reveal Direct.

GC is coming to Switch 2 in a few days, they gotta announce it at June to earn physical sales. Then there's the fact lots of people still use Switch and not all of them will upgrade as soon as possible. Nintendo gotta think about the people who aren't getting Switch 2 right away or people who buy Switch 1 late, we've seen tens of thousands still buy Switch in Japan, same is true elsewhere.

probably after patapon unless it's a sales bomb. but real tawk, where's my nigga parappa?

Yeah, its gonna do worse than the wiiu, and not by a small margin

It's the biggest console launch of all time lol

we should keep saying this after launch to make fun of retards who said it.

False, see

Jesus fuck Nikkei Asia, Financial Times, and Bloomberg anon has the scoop

Your precious "Jesus" is not real and never existed

Not in 2020 or 2022. I don't expect one to happen the same month as a big new console and game launch, especially when we just got two back to back not even two whole months ago. Maybe late July?

no Zelda

no Smash

no mainline Mario

no Fire Emblem

no Xenoblade

no Animal Crossing

It's like they want this hunk of shit to fail

What is the pipeline of releases right now? Some games have not release date, my assumptions are
June is Mario Kart
July for Bananza/Mario Party
August Drag x Drive/Kirby
September Metroid
October for Pokemon
November ???
December Hyrule Warriors
Unless im forgetting something, we will get at least 1 more game for this year

Most of them will be cancelled when shitendo goes bankrupts

I hope we get Gravity Rush 1+2, it's the only one I care about

Most people balked at the price and that will almost certainly be a major factor in its failure. People can barely afford to keep food on the table and a roof over their heads. You really think they want to spend at least $600 ($500 for the console, $80 for a single game, taxes) just to get started with a Switch 2?

basedrule warriors

december

if this is true then nintendo fucked up, this is not the game for holidays at all.. it's a jan/feb game at best. slop warriors, not even a proper musou game

Nintendo picked a bad time to pander to westoids, another in a long line of mistakes

No first party Nintendo games. At least not ones they haven't already been announced.

A lot of people already forgot about Kirby's air ride 2.

So we will probably see actual gameplay showcase of that game.

Microsoft will probably end up saving this direct with halo or gears of war.

They need an absolute banger of a holiday release to keep Switch 2 from being Wii U all over again. Hyrule Warriors is not that game.

This year we will get Mario kart, Hyrule warriors for zelda, new Dk game, Metroid prime 4, upgrade for Kirby and Kirby air raiders, Xenoblade got XDE a few months ago, and the new Pokemon releases in October, a lot of mayor Ips got something this year, im pretty sure that next year we will get a new main line Mario game, Fire Emblem, Animal crossing, a new Monolith soft project, and maybe something for Splatoon and some old Ips too

ports of old steam games and switch 1 games for $80

Fatal Frame 1 ~ 3 Classic Collection.

People can barely afford to keep food on the table and a roof over their heads

Yet consumer spending keeps going up lol

I don't think Sony is that low of a point yet.

platforming isn't great - IGN

it's a co-op game but online co-op isn't available until the end of the year

Somehow Sony always finds a way to bungle games

At this point, the only way we aren’t seeing a direct this summer is because they’re already involved with summer games fest and gamescom

no, it's a mediocre clone of 3D world.
and sony isn't at microsoft's level of resignation yet, they wouldn't port this one. lego horizon was a compromise so the lego group would agree to their vanity project. they're only letting third parties license old dormant IPs.
we need to wait a few years for them to shutter media molecule before LBP can go in the "old dormant IPs" folder.

kek

Would Anon Babble throw a fit if the DKC games were remade in this style? With the Rare DK model, of course.

Nta, but the reason you don't is because the first two years is mostly the hardcore crowd that you want to attract, since they'll be the ones more eager to spend money on new tech. They also have their vanilla releases like MKW just so that they also get children and casual to dip their toes. But, most casuals wait a couple of years, which is when you'd want to release a casual-centric game like AC.

Leakers said it’s happening. Cope.

i don't know if super mario RPG did well enough to justify another remake in the same vein. 3 million isn't bad but when they have 20+ million franchises to rely on, it would have to be a pretty cheap game to make. how well bananza sells and if it makes donkey kong a flagship IP again will also be a factor.

Where is my preorder invite? I've been loyal to Nintendo for years now.

Super Maria Sisters
The Legend of Zelda: Fiddle of Gender
Fire Emblem: Diversify

Did you sign up for it day one?

Mario Wonder Switch 2 Edition
Yoshi's Woolly World port
New Fire Emblem
Luigi's Mansion 4

I did, I was making fun of the people who actually buy into that nonsense. I'll get it when I get it, be it next week or in a few months. It's a non issue.

splatoon 4

Any guesses when the next main line Zelda will release? 2028? You think earlier?

Probably 2028 yeah. I doubt it's earlier, 3D Zelda is open world now and they're not easy to make

Would be based and incredible if they showed this.

I think Splatoon 4 will come out, at latest, next summer. It's bigger than Zelda in Japan

Been waiting since fucking Wii for F-Zero and Starfox WHERE THE FUCK ARE THEY

I wanna replay the Xenoblade Chronicles gsmes at locked 30fps with less dynamic resolution dips.

I would pay Monolith for patches no doubt, 1080p/60 DLSS'd to 4K would be cool.

But that is so far away. I want one earlier.

Quality takes time

Media Molecule hasn't worked on a LBP game since LBP Karting

panic in front of the scene

That would be unfair to the competition. Nintendo has samourai honor code.

I think it'll be a bit sooner, truth be told. Splatoon is too huge and popular and Nintendo wants it out ASAP, like that other anon said.

what competition? 3 is a finished game on life support right now.

you know they can post stuff without doing a direct
they just uploaded a mario party trailer on youtube, legends z-a just got a date in a twitter post

true, I'm gonna play star fox GP on my switch pro now

Unless im forgetting something

kirby air riders, that's probably the november game

Sony looking to do one in june too

Melee and smash 64 with local multiplayer

Nintendo has samourai honor code.

Current Nintendo is more like the samurai that would test their katana on peasants, they smell blood

omg the new switch has a bigger screen with higher resolution and supports hdr and vrr and uses lcd which looks better than an led and

okay *keeps it docked forever because I'm a grownup*
