Am I crazy or is this game really fucking fun?
Comfy montana country side with a pet bear and cougar. Its kino
Am I crazy or is this game really fucking fun?
Gameplay is terrible
Animations are stiff
Yes.
It mogs far cry 4 hard
correct
retard
correct
The only slight nitpick is that there's too much happening during the open world. Makes the game less boring for sure but the shit that is happening randomly is too cartoony ngl
the only ending that had you side with god's ordained prophet is a hidden joke ending
Faithfulbros....
beat off to that cult chick lmao
Played it for a few hours on Gaypass a while back and I agree. Really loved the setting. Storyline seemed really interesting too up to that point.
Tunes are a bop and a half as well.
farcry2 was peak
The kidnapping is fucking gay and makes it worse than 4.
I like both though.
it's very scenic
despite not getting into it for a year and change i'm currently into new dawn a lot. hits different seeing the spots that i remember from fc5. Will have to start fc5 fresh because I'm too far along and barely remember anything.
Another thing is that now that I remember there's challenges to do, the perk system isn't a pain in the ass anymore. It's fun and a great way to get you to try new things. Carrot and stick
best villain
best enemy faction
kino soundtrack
kino ending
i loved it.
new dawn takedowns were fucking brutal. fc5 takedowns look like a bad comedy skit.
You zoomers should stop using 'kino' for every single game you enjoy.
Kino means cinematographic.
eh, there's a good game hiding somewhere, but it's just too afraid to become it
when they dropped the trailer people thought it was going to be a western. i thought it was going to be some rambo first blood kind of story. it turned out like a reverse first blood.

waco but a game
so movie games?
MGS and Jarpigs, yes
Like every big studio game there's far too much "push forward button while on-rails in-game cutscene plays" and generally annoying non gameplay bullshit
welcome to africa, here's your complimentary malaria.
farcry 1 and 2 are both vastly different from 3 onwards.
farcry 3 is where the ubislop tower climbing cancer infected it.
still love me some african mercenary simulator though.
I wouldn't know because I don't play ubishit.
blasphemy to Jesus
yea nah
I was trying to enjoy it at first, but it was just too glitchy and unstable. Xbox Series X btw
The guns feel like airsoft.
The kidnap sequences are dumb and bad.
I tried it before
The idea seems fun but I dislike the ubijank
Are there planes or heilcopters you can fly?
I remember reading at one point you could request vehicles to your location which would be nice
Its about false prophets
The normal people of Hope County are almost all religious rural folk. Good people with conservative beliefs, pitted against a huge, violent, mentally ill cult that they gave the benefit of live and let live just a little too long. The tone and themes of the game are surprisingly respectful and moderate for the time.
best fc ever.
the heroes are all MAGA people, conservatives, and based schizos
i have no idea how this was allowed to be made. i remember watching some clip of some california soiboi game critic saying he felt conflicted when one of your in-game allies made a reference to "Obama loving libtards"
i tried it out a little while ago and i have really mixed feelings desu. gameplay is fun and the setting is a nice idea but poorly executed. i think the game suffers from not taking itself seriously enoough, and im not even talking about the millennial rick and morty humor either. theres this really engaging feeling of oppression that the game starts out with, and it goes away immediately after liberating your first area. now all of a sudden regular civilians are just drving along the previously empty roads like nothing happened. any sense of intimidation evaporates after the first hour or so. the cult doesnt FEEL threatening. i would have had there be literally 0 allied or peaceful npcs (aside from the bunker dude in the opening), just you, completely alone and isolated, waging a 1 man guerrilla war against the cult
when you have to rush cleetus mcredneck's asian wife to the hospital because her waters broke.
I can't get the fucking chain or pistol takedowns to work for the life of me. I hold, I mash, I flick, fuckin nothing.
The progression in new dawn is satisfying though, building up to take on elite enemies and leveling up your followers so they get stronger too. Meanwhile in fc5 I watched Peaches get taken down by 1 (I[ONE]) wolf in a single fucking tussel.
Can't say I care for fc6 like these two though. Maybe I'll warm up to it but I just couldn't stand another moment of them saying 'resolvere' at all. Is the DLC any good?
is she asian or just filthy?
Both.
The game really exemplifies how difficult it is to create an open world with a non-linear narrative. And how Ubisoft just doesn't have the acumen for it. While the foundation and mechanics are all decent, the sense of progression, story beats, and exploration all feel very disjointed and, ironically, makes the game feel less 'open' than previous titles.
Rather than a world to explore en route to destinations with objectives and goals in mind, I tended to find myself just aimlessly wandering to POIs to see what quests were available and then would eventually get control yanked away as I was 'kidnapped' to interact with bad guys that seemed really pissed at my killing, but had no problem sending hordes of cannon fodder to die by my hand, and couldn't be assed to kill me themselves when they had every opportunity to(?)
personally I thought New Dawn was too much. Same kind of missions, but really annoying characters and the crafting bit took me out of it. also the aesthetic of shit duct-taped together is not for me. then I think FC6 did the same fucking thing and noped out of there quick.
most fun I had in FC5 was with one of those mods that overhauled the whole game. no health regen, stuck to 2 weapons, more enemies, and it was so much more enjoyable
