Secondly, Switch was very weak. When emulating a system, you basically trying to reconstitute the system chipset within software. It's quite easy to do that with Switch but even then you'll need a high spec PC to have it a run properly.

Switch was also based on a well documented 2015 SoC. Hackers were already working on it before Switch even launched.

I have a legion go that is more powerful than the deck but i still had to fuck around in the registry and run some code from reddit to activate integer scaling so games don't look like ass on 800p. And even then my pc still plays them way better and the novelty of the form factor worn out pretty quickly, nevermind the abysmal battery life where i can squeeze out maybe two hours on efficiency mode while playing a fucking visual novel. At least with the switch 2 i have a guarantee that games will run smoothly.

The Switch 2 might downclock to simply match switch 1 specs meaning performance will be the same. But load times must be automatically better on account of the sd express speeds.
