SAG makes sense when it's big name actors fighting against big name Hollywood studios. It kinda makes sense when it's actual actors getting voice roles in big name AAAA studio projects. It doesn't make sense at all when it's minor-league VAs who are only hired because they're cheap in indie projects or foreign dubs. SAG's problem is they keep trying to force themselves everywhere which, if they got their way, could kill creativity and squeeze out the indie and small budget scene for all media, not just games. Small budget problems is how relatively new actors get their starts so they can get noticed by bigger name studios, and this applies to games and TV/film. Culling those small budget projects removes that pipeline for new talent.
