But if thats the case during the war where the human volunteers? Certainly the old, the fatally sick, or the very selfless- ones would have given their souls. And thus monster kind would have gotten seven souls to defeat humanity.

Its because even with the seven souls, monster kind still doesnt have a chance.

Monster society was operating on the logic that humanity was strong but still weak enough to beat them. In reality, there was no chance for monsterkind to win.

We see them all united under a single king in the intro, the humans too. If you want reason, the monster king conquered all of monsterdom, he had a diviine right to rule all monsters, there simply weren't that many of them. Its pretty easy to come up with explanations for that.

I think that'd fit better in a game where he's still dead. Maybe an alternate UTY where a there's no Flowey, so the final bosses have to be changed.

The robots were the best plan because they have the highest success rate. The serum killed 100% of the subjects it was injected into. Even if we go with the fanon that Zartlet was made with Chujin's serum, she still fails to kill a single human. Meanwhile Axis killed one of the two humans it encountered. We have no data for the third thing, but production numbers would be too small to make a difference.

The serum plan has problems. And the injecting soul into robots has limited candidates. And to fix that problem would require some assumptions and the syringe plan to work in the first place.

cause: rigidbody2d.velocity is inconsistent for some god forsaken reason.

I don't even think monsters operate on genetics in the same way animals do. They don't have blood or cells or any organic tissue at all for that matter, they're composed almost entirely of magic. So who's to say that their "genes" aren't just memes, nothing but thoughts and feelings. So their children would be more of a conceptual combination of the parents rather than any genetic rules.

The only notable traits that differentiate boss monsters from normal monsters is the fact that they're immortal (until they have children) and the fact that their souls persist for a little while longer after death, whereas normal monster's souls vanish at the same time as their bodies. I don't really think boss monsters are inherently more powerful or combat capable than normal monsters, but we only have two examples to go off of from UT, so it's honestly anyone's guess as to how strong a boss monster really is.

We already see stuff like this in UTY with Starlo. His parents are a rock monster with a moon shaped head and a fluffy monster with a sun shaped head. Normal genetics would dictate that he would either be like one of his parents, or he would be a fluffy rock monster. Instead he's a star, because that's the logical next item in the list of celestial bodies.

Boss monsters have determination, not much, but they do have some, which is what allows their souls to persist after death. We also know that its the source of the humans' power. So its not unreasonable to assume that its also what gives Toriel and Asgore their crazy high stats, and gives Asgore the ability to do things like destroy the mercy button. Lets not forget that Asgore is the single strongest monster in the Underground, only rivaled by Undyne the Undying who has absurdly high amounts of determination in her system due to the will save she just passed.

We never see Chujin fight, so he can't be used an example for or against the strength of boss monsters.
