The ending that broke Anon Babble
The ending that broke Anon Babble
why would the canonical bad ending break anyone?
literally faggy writing broke Anon Babble
that's all this place eats up now that it's Good Goy Gaymer Central
because I have to deal with retards on Anon Babble claiming it's the good ending
game switches to 4:3 ratio
yup it's kino time
The fact that this game is considered good goes to show just how low the gaming community has sunk. The shilling is coming from Fromsoft crowd btw, since they are the ones that want the entire industry to follow the same stupid cancerous dogde/roll/parry mechanic.
why is it not good
start doing this
Oh n-
it’s written by a female gook from reddit
that just seems more like you're racist than an actual criticism of the game
It's not the good ending, it's the better ending. Why? Because it means the lying emo bitch has to play the piano until he withers away and doesn't get to suicide bomb the whole world into non-existence because he's tired of having friends that accepts him as he is.
a redditor wrote the best story in gaming? kinda funny, Anon Babble could never
Shhhh.
no it means you’re a tranny
t. retarded tranny
OH LOOK WHAT TIME IT IS!
I'm glad I picked Maelle. It was kino.
I mean you're just a sad little racist transphobe and that's all you'll ever be sweaty x
why was clea such a bitch here?
you’re a tranny kek
aww hunnie who hurt you?
Knowing the others, they were probably standing there for an hour
she mourns different
*hide thread*
shows up with flowers and grieves with her family
leaves to presumably go continue her war against the writers
wow what a bitch
projecting it’s hurt feelings onto me
many such cases
she has some wriggers to hunt down, no time for this cringe shit
keep being a troll maybe it'll make you happy one day sweaty x
what now?
go do the tons of hours of optional shit that required flying to do
now say it without crying
oh hunnie the only one crying is you but keep on replying and pretending you aren't upset x
Surely you have 100% the game by now.
you shitpost with us
I see you guys arguing over this every day, but I don't get what's the controversy here. I liked both endings and both endings are rather bad (for the characters). I don't know if one of them is canon, we may learn this if there's a sequel, or they might've left if open, so (You) can choose which ending is good.
more projection
n-no u
mindgaped
poor little sad transphobic troll x
i still have work to do but it feels kinda meaningless now, but i'll do it cuz i love it
Do what the game tells you to do and go do something else. Or replay it to learn just how much of a lying cunt Verso really was and embrace the other ending.
say game shit
tranny cry
I don’t make the rules
You wait for the devs to come out with a sequel which takes place in the real world, has Clea as the main protagonist and has the story centered around the writers.
but i picked the OP ending, mainly because i didn't want Alicia to suffer
take hrt
it's okay no need to explain anon I also enjoy hitting the crack pipe
she wasn't? it just symbolizes that she was the first the move on.
you will wait another 5 years to have fun again
I am old, Anon Babble. I don't look it, but I am beginning to feel it in my heart of hearts.
im playing tales of graces f
you could always play something else inbetween those 5 years
That's why I always do everything in games before beating the last boss. The End was my last achievement.
But actually... Has anyone finished NG+ thoroughly, exploring everything, talking to all NPCs and so on? Do we know if there are any changes?
Putting the crack pipe away probably doesn't erase thousands of people from existence. And don't give me the "muh painting", because for all we know the painters may be living in another painting, and (You) may as well.
Putting the crack pipe away probably doesn't erase thousands of people from existence. And don't give me the "muh painting", because for all we know the painters may be living in another painting, and (You) may as well.
sorry anon can't hear you over all this delicious crack that I'm smoking
didn't wanna do that because i heard the extra content is a lot harder, but oh well doesn't matter i'll do it after
What game is this? I asked it before on Anon Babble but nobody answered
Max Payne
boku no piano
Just in case you're being serious, it's Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. I'd think there were enough threads on Anon Babble for anyone to recognise the characters, but on the other hand, it's black and white, and in these threads we talk about the story, so there aren't really any gameplay screenshots.
But if you're interested at all in the game, don't enter these threads, they're full of spoilers. Don't even look at pictures.
it was all a painting dream about my gay dead family trauma
cringed out loud
Thanks, I unironically had no idea because I am not interested in playing AAA games, so I normally ignore threads about those. I've just seen this being posted multiple times.
Good thing it isn't AAA then.
the characters look like they’re out of a shitty assassins creed or ghost tsushima
how could she do this?
I finished the game. Why can i still not buy a bunch of these?
Final Fantasy XVII
They're for Gustav. You can buy them in NG+. Although you probably already have them.
It certainly looks like it. But I also don't play westoid or 3D games either
faggot game, also if u didn't figure out the ending halfway through you are a fucking idiot.
Klonoa did it better and has better gameplay
/thread
i swear this is the first jrpg people have played especially zoomers and stupid women.
Theres nothing unique about even the story
let's settle this
strawpoll.com
Just look how happy our beloved companions are trapped in Alicia's doll house!
Does she wear shoes in this scene? This is important
extra content is a lot harder
It is and it isn't. You'll struggle against mostly everything right when you unlock the final boss, but once you get some levels in, you'll be absurdly powerful. Even the secret super boss is kind of a pushover once you get enough levels under your belt.
hey verso, it's 4:00 pm, time for you to play the piano
yes dear sister
Create/develop a vr simulation of exp 33's world and live happily with Maelle
play Fantasy Life i till theres Exp 33 DLC
If you save the tokens from the tutorial and don't spend them, when you go into NG+ you can buy meme baguette weapons from the bakery in the tutorial.
Other than that, only diff in NG+ is doing alternative choices for the ending, or killing the white nevron in the church for Auto Powerful instead of helping him for 100+ lumina.
she is strangely popular
can somebody PLEASE explain why discount beethoven cries in a way someone who ISNT interested in playing the game would understand
Painted Alicia is best girl who literally did nothing wrong. She just wanted everyone to get along.
He does it to save his family because Verso's entire character is self sacrifice to save the ones he loves you damn secondary.
The fact that he had to kill an entire universe after dying is entirely on Alicia being an addict
doing alternative choices for the ending
I just loaded an older save file.
killing the white nevron in the church for Auto Powerful instead of helping him for 100+ lumina
You can do both. Choose the weapon for him, then leave him be. Get your 100 lumina, and only then fight and kill the nevron in the church.
imagine matrix but in the end neo is forced to be a shitty code monkey inside the simulation for eternity
so, like the new matrix movie?
Girls are cutest when they're miserable.
damn that's a fucking bummer ending and a half
I just loaded an older save file.
You don't get the rewards though, have to do Verso/Maelle ending in NG/NG+
You're allowed 1 white nevron kill, and still get the 100 lumina.
Make the church one be it.
the ones he loves
The ones he loves are painted just like him. He doesn't know the people outside who look like his loved ones.
There are rewards for endings? I don't think I got anything for finishing the game.
why the vagina symbolism?
You get outfits.
Verso ending, His dads real world outfit + hair for Verso and Gustave.
Maelle ending you get casual outfits for Lune, Sciel and Gustave.
SAY THE LINE HOLEJAK
"I'M REALLY DIGGING IT"
because Verso's entire character is self sacrifice to save the ones he loves you damn secondary.
No it's not. Painted Verso was created to be extremely selfish because his selflessness is what got him killed. He doesn't have character development until Maelle's ending where he decides to stop being a sad sack for one moment and play the damn piano for Alicia's sake.
hurry he was being brainwashed
Play the fucking game. Alicia is nowhere near that skilled. Even Clea had to litterally paint over people and make them look inverted to brainwash them.
baby's first RPG
i'm 33 but my first rpg was ultima underworld
No it's not. Painted Verso was created to be extremely selfish because his selflessness is what got him killed.
is this literally just a "i'm not bad i'm just drawn that way" thing
Lets Gustave die because he saw him as nothing more than another obstacle
Lies to the expeditioners and leads them all to their deaths even after listening to them all pour their hearts out and beg him for mercy
Dishonors Painted Alicia’s final wish by destroying the letter
Gives the party false hope only to betray and murder them again
All because he’s a Doomer cuck that wanted to bring everyone down with him
I feel zero sympathy for Verso in Maelle’s ending
we did it!
Renoir drew it, and his baby girl growing up into a woman is kinda the central theme of her axon.
amongst us
WE ALL KNOW why they used "amongst" and not "among".
head initially tilted upwards, eyes reflecting light, both eyes visible
casts head downwards, light no longer reflected in eyes, one eye now in complete darkness, brows furrow
kino. this game's facial animations in these prerendered cutscenes are some of the best in the industry to date
His entire "kill Paintress" shtick was to save his mom bro.
When Aline came back to help with Renoir he wasn't yelling "Do it mom!!!! Fuck him up!!!" He was realizing Renoir was right
my wife is so cute
I already 100% the game, but this is good to know.
It's nice you can do just about everything in 1 playthrough.
Alicia isn't so skilled to control Verso!
Verso Gommaged in her ending and this one doesn't have a scar and is older
How did Verso change then if Alicia can't paint over Verso?
failed attempt at being deep and artsy
all alicia variants combined make up the majority of votes so far
You guys know she's 16 right?
It's meant to be a birds nest.
The parable or w/e is about Alicia growing up and learning to fly on her own.
Bad ending causes Maellefags to seethe
Yes.
The game hammers the point that the painters are incredibly selfish and don't care if what they're doing is morally correct. Renoir indiscriminately gommaged everyone. Clea corrupted painted people that annoyed her and made nevrons. Aline also painted Alicia to be burned and miserable just out of spite. Alicia ignored Verso's pleas for death because she wants to spend time with him. By all accounts Alicia is the least shitty, but she's a painter nonetheless.
She's pretty smug about it finally being over, which is understandable frankly.
She definitely doesn't look like she's there to mourn with the family, she's there waiting for them to get their shit together so they can finally be useful in the war she's been holding down while they all fuck around in the paintings, she basically rolls her eyes and walks away after placing the flowers.
Yeah it was quite the contrast to see Alicia be all happy that "Maman" came back to beat up Papa while Verso just stares speechless in abject horror realizing that Aline was willing to kill herself and her daughter inside the painting.

How do you respond without sounding mad?
seeyou faggot no lifer touch grass.
This board has baby brain so of course sad jrpg shit is going to be le kino
"Cool. Now play the piano"
game is full of ludo kino shots.
People like to say Renoir did nothing wrong. But I think it’s pretty fucked to create an entire world filled with sentient beings, and treat it like an anthill and wash it away when you have no more use for it.
Just finished the game. What a masterpiece. Shame I was overleveled for the last boss
Renoir only created axons
Painted Alicia is the only one who did nothing wrong
IT'S THE GOOD ENDING BECAUSE VERSO SUFFERS FOR WHAT HE DID
Mentally ill.
Renoir didn't create the painting nor most of the people in it. That was child Verso then later Aline.
The point still stands
He didn't create it
His wife created it to live a false life
It's time to end that false life
It's time to stop painting.
You should stop being brown now
Why did Verso continue to help the Expedition in Act 3? He was fully on Renoir’s side, so why didn’t he just help jump Alicia then and there?
She didn't do anything right, either
I think the whole act3 is awfully executed and written, infelt nothing for the painter even with the extra quests and lumker habitants blantatly take a back seat and let their world die just because. people just like it because of the moral dilema.
Kinda like ff tactics advance.
Mr. Verso, I don't feel so good
Make stop painting, bitch
Because Verso flip flops on what he wants to do. It took him seeing Aline coming back in the painting, basically killing herself to live with painted Verso (a copy of her decease son) to push him into the decision to end the canvas.
No your point doesnt stand at all since it was wrong.
didn’t ask
She wrote the letter that might’ve turned the tides, but Verso being the selfish cuck that he is, threw it away.
do i do the other areas or just go to lumiere already? i got the cheater picto
Go to Lumiere so you don't over level
sentient beings
if you program an npc in a game to cry or a robot to cry doesnt make it sentient faggot.
Versocels trying not to be Reddit sociopaths challenge: impossible
Verso was against the painted family and working with Clea for at least 16 years (Alicia's birth as Maelle, Clea telling him she was sent to the canvas to help Renoir). That's enough time for Palicia to realize he's not going to find her magical solution or help her towards it.
She was a big dumb for giving it to him to begin with.
It was a good ending though, it's the better ending in-universe pretty objectively
destroy the canvas
The people inside the painting are real functional individuals with sentience and identity, you just committed mass murder and nuked an alternate reality but maybe the Dessendre family can be repaired
don't destroy the canvas
Shitty family that's already fucked one of whom lives in constant agony gets a chance to mend their broken relationship but far more people are effectively erased for it
Prove me wrong Dessendrefaggots
if you program an npc in a game to cry or a robot to cry doesnt make it sentient faggot.
it's time to go home.
No
Anon Babble doesn't know the difference between sentience and sapience
most lore-aware maellefag
if they are not sentient, why do they go on expeditions to kill the paintress when she is the one who programmed them?
The only thing this ending proves is that when and if we get true AI, discussions surrounding are going to be insufferable.
Sure, I’ll definitely go back to my life where I’m a cripple and my family abuses me on a daily basis. I’ll get right on that, Verso
my family abuses me on a daily basis
she deserves it
His entire character is him being a lying traitor who can't stop being emo over the fact that he has the memories of another person. His "self-sacrifice" is the worst cope in the whole game. He "saves" his fake sister from living a life without constant pain among her friends and kills his own sister in the process. Does he spare his actual sister even a single thought while doing this? No. She's completely forgotten.
renoir giving some monlogue at the end of doing this for his family
no one says anything even remotely as good in response
It just bothers me so much how most remained silent. Like lune and scile could say they want to live or something.
I hate how this game went from epic adventure to family trauma at the end. Could at least do a will of the creation vs the creator thing but didnt even bother. Alice fights for her own selfish reason at the end rather than defend lumiere to keep excisting.
Human life is precious because it is ephemeral.
The life inside the painting is not ephemeral. It can be created, destroyed, and even completely overwritten by its creators at any time. Therefore, the life inside the painting is not precious, and it is not morally wrong to let it die to save actually precious lives.
You are literally talking like some faggot liberal
So all the dialogue where Clea and Aline treat her like a sack of shit and blame her for Verso’s death isn’t enough? Alright then.
she's tired of her retarded family full of gay drama
my family abuses me
Everyone in her family loves her, are you retarded?
Crazy how Verso fanboys can only argue by lying
the dialogue where Clea and Aline treat her like a sack of shit and blame her for Verso’s death
Human life isn’t precious because when you die it’s like you weren’t even alive because you’re dead
checkmate e33troons
100% the game
don't feel like playing anything else
amongst is correct, it's past tense.
Is not ephimeral when these mofos keep ingerfering.
They could just leave the painting alone but all of them are so weak willed faggots. That im amazed they arent fat by stress eating.
Verso created the world.
The story is full of contradictions, which is why it’s terrible. They literally say Aline painted hundreds of worlds—so is she a psychopath killing billions of “sentient beings”? Or maybe, just maybe, they aren’t truly sentient.
If it turned out one of the major religions Gods were real (meaning, they are all knowing, all powerful, and therefore could wipe out or create life at a whim), would your opinion on the value of a human life change?
Evidently you didn’t beat the game, or you somehow managed to skip the Paintress boss fight where she literally yell “You killed him!” To Maelle. And you somehow skipped the entire flashback section dedicated where Clea just shits on Alicia the whole time.
To be honest the story was fine until the twist.
awww no more hello kitty or w.e faggots play nowdays?
Literally me
idk about the mom, but Renoir and Clea sure.
gommages everyone
forces Alicia back into the painting so he can use her against her mother
threatens to burn the painting
Renoir kinda sucks, actually.
so is she a psychopath killing billions of “sentient beings”?
Yes
I'm of two minds about the twist cause I like that party of the story, but it does make everything beforehand feel like filler and pointless.
I tought it was clea who forces Alicia.
She is renoirs Pet but still.
It’s only pointless if you pick the Doomer ending
There's a difference between "could" and actually doing it. Nothing in the christian faith, for example, describes God as making, unmaking and changing life on a whim. The combination of these three things is important, since the mere act of creation is not enough to make life precious or not precious.
Clea sent her in. Renoir was already inside.
Slop
Why does painted Renoir have a scar? Is it because he feels guilty about killing expeditioners?
Im not a buttwrestling faggot ass, and I dont play gay faggot games
I don't know how often this has been brought up in E33 threads but there's so many fundamental differences to real life religious beliefs in that regard. The painters are not omnipotent, they're not even immortal.
I knew as soon as I saw Charlie Cox was voicing the “main character” that he’d die immediately. Devs never hire big name actors for protagonist roles and have them stick around the entire game, they’re relegated to performing cameos or side characters.
idk something just takes it out of it for me. It felt like everything up to that point was filler.
Lune and Sciel feel like afterthoughts as well, that they were only brought back for act 3 to not limit the party to just Maelle, Verso and Monoco.
Painted Renoir is Aline's creation.
Read Aline's log.
Youdidn
flashback
nigga...
I think is what makes it bad.
In a buble they are good, toghter both parts hurt each other narrative wise.
Even if you ignore all the random living beings in the canvas, and Esquie, Monoco and Sciel who seem to be fine with dying, you're still killing Lune who is completely innocent. Yes, I would take torturing a retard by forcing him to play piano (oh no, poor guy) over killing an innocent person. You're the mentally ill one.
game switches to 4:3 ratio
is that what that was?
im on an ultrawide monitor, it looked like watching cinematics while wearing the heavy pot helmet from rust
you just committed mass murder
How? Everyone from within the painting is already dead besides Sciel and Lune.
”You can’t just decide this for everyone, Verso!”
”Uhhh, we’re all le hypocrites! You’re talking to le wall!”
Great arguments, Verso
Are you fucking stupid?
The whole gustave sacrifice also lose a lot of importance in maelle character. I think she only mentioned him twice in act3.
Yeah. Obviously regardless there was always going to be a big twist with the paintress, it was never going to be as simple as
And then they kill the paintress and everyone lived happily ever after
But while I like the contents of the twist, as you said I feel it hurts everything prior.
Gestrals
Gustave was always a surrogate Verso. That's why he didn't matter as much because Verso just reclaimed that role.
Playing your little word games doesn’t help your case, you know?
Picking A leads to everyone staying dead
Picking B leads to everyone not being dead
muh sociopath
muh genocide
YOU are the redditors
no
But they'll be dead in both endings.
Then dont put gustave in the first place.
At least gustave wasnt in zombie mode for a whole act
Maelle doesn't really care about Gustave. Alicia at least doesn't care at all. They're all copium mechanisms for her to forget the fact she is a disfigured monstrosity IRL.
See the dialogue here It's here to hint that everything she does is for her to feel better. She is a true narcissist. The core definition of narcissism.
nuh uh!
Versocucks are truly the most pathetic posters on this board
Based
At the end of Act 1 painted renoir punches Alicia's soul out of of the painting, and while she's traveling in limbo Aline becomes aware of her presence and worriedly says she needs to leave, but then Renoir forces Alicia's soul back into her painted body. By that point Renoir was already helping gear up amnesiatic Alicia as the curator to fight her mother.
Gestrals
Grandis
Also because the possibility of the Maelle ending is them being brought back, in not bringing them back you're still culpable for the entire population of Lumiere remaining non-existent.
The point of the ending is everyone being a selfish cunt besides Lune and Sciel. Maelle and Aline just want to live in their fantasy regardless if they die, Verso just wants to die, And Renoir is trying to force his will on everyone out of fear of losing what family he still has.
And either way the ending is stripping away someone's agency, Verso or Maelle's for their own reasons.
Maelle died at the end of Act 2. Alicia is the replacement in Act 3 and she only cares about Verso. Gustave is just another doll for her to play with.
I know she doesnt care. That is what i said the twist is dumb narrative wise for the whole game.
"Everyone" being Maelle and the people she created, of course. And Maelle has no trouble deciding for everyone including the boy and Verso. Hell, she never bothered to ask anyone when she decided to erase Alicia.
Even if we assume those people are all real in every sense that matters, Alicia cannot bring them back from the dead (apart from maybe Sciel and Lune).
Therefore, the life inside the painting is not precious
Maellefags screech at this
Get out of the painting and go cope in some other one Alicia
You can make some shitty knock off Verso's, Lune's and Sciel's to cope with, just let Verso's spirit rest.
She did thoughever
The ending shows Sciel and her ex-husband sitting side by side, Gustave and Sophie.
Did the voices in your head tell you that?
Lune and Sciel
Lmao
They both just want to live with their loved ones, they don't care what effect it has on Maelle or her family. Sciel understands Verso in his ending because she was selfish in the same way, while Lune is too egotistic to recognize that.
"hmm, both of these endings are compelling and offer unique insights into the themes and characters of this story"
"let's see what Anon Babble has to say about this thought-provoking dilemma"
it's just a couple of brown people having DBZ-tier shitflinging contests about which character was absolute good and which one was absolute evil, unironically calling each other "Versofags" and "Maellefags" over and over for dozens of threads
And Renoir is trying to force his will on everyone out of fear of losing what family he still has.
Yeah but this is completely fine. If your wife and daughter were inject heroine and trying to overdose, you are objectively correct trying to stop them.
Gestrals
I don't consider retards human, even if they are based retards sometimes
So is Painted Verso, but he says he gives himself a scar on purpose, and even if his reason for it is bullshit, he'd still have plenty of reasons to want a scar, like differentiating himself from the real verso.
It can be created, destroyed, and even completely overwritten by its creators at any time
So can human life, you stupid cuck
enslaving what's left of your dead brother's soul for laffs
They're mindless drones.
I genuinely can't think of any religion where that's the case.
Verso is me waging in cagie, Maelle is society
Even if you consider them sub-sentient or simplistic creatures remember the balance here is the worth of their life vs the potential for the Dessendre family to reconnect
The Dessendre who are currently comprised of one Father, one sister (revenge mindbroken schizo on a personal war), one Mother (may die from prolonged Canvas usage) and one daughter (constant agony)
When you think about the cold arithmetic of it the Dessendre aren't really worth their chance at salvation because of how fucked they already are
Ego is when you don’t want yourself and your world to be erased
I assume he's going by the assumption from how Maelle struggled to bring them back until Verso coached her about remembering them as people, she can't bring back literal who's she doesn't know.
im on an ultrawide monitor, it looked like watching cinematics while wearing the heavy pot helmet from rust
You're not far off the mark. Only Alicia is aware of those 4:3 moments, and it reasonable to assume the aspect ratio is because she temporarily loses sight in her painted eye
heroin bad
I'm pretty sure at least one of them is actually falseflagging and has never played the game.
It's subhumans versus the life of one traumatised teenage girl
I pick the girl
No, it's normal to not forgive Verso for what he did, but while Sciel understood his motives and that he was just sacrificing them for something he valued more (which she would've done too given the chance), Lune does not have that empathy.
If the understanding of any of the major religions gods are that they are omnipotent is to be believed, it is implied they should be able to do that. The fact that they haven't doesn't change the definition of the word omnipotent which many gods are described as.
That said, it's a hypothetical to be engaged with, if any God could do it, would you then consider human life no longer valuable?
Go take some heroin then pussy
Why did everyone forget about Noco, are they stupid?
Yes. Heroin bad.
I pick my Gestral bros and the entire headcount of Lumiere who are happy and not traumatized enjoying daily cuck cage concerts from Verso the piano bitch
WHY ALICIA, WHY, WHY DO YOU PERSIST?!
t. soikek who hasn't done any recreational drug in his life
And one traumatized mother
This is fair but she still brings back what appears to be the whole town's worth of people so she presumably got better at using her Paintress bullshit to bring people back to life with a sense of self
She has all the potential of her mother after all, who had to create them from scratch to begin with. Maybe they wouldn't be the exact same people they were but they're still people
That said, it's a hypothetical to be engaged with, if any God could do it, would you then consider human life no longer valuable?
In a certain way, yes. Which is exactly why none of the gods in any religion do that, and why the more sophisticated, non-retarded religions put a huge emphasis on free will and the value of life.
Why the fuck does Percee do such ridiculous damage? It's hitting for 9999 not far into the game and I've seen it break 120k after the damage cap goes away.
Malle is so OP her ending is canon because she could never lose to Verso.
Anon Babble always defaults to black and white tribalism. The thing anon likes is 100% correct and everything else must be shit. There can't be good or bad points about anything, or that Maelle is not doing it out of benevolence to save Lumiere but for her own reasons. or while Verso is a lying cunt he has understandable reasons for why he wants to die. It's either
Maelle good, Verso bad
Verso good, Maelle bad
All the fucking painters are just awful human beings.
The Mother is an addict to fantasy life.
The father is a failure than cant keep shit togheter and his response to anything that threaten order is remove it.
Clea cares more about the family status then the members of them.
Alicia is an insecure bithch full of guilt.
I wish the verso ending showed how destroying the painting didnt fixed anything there and they all remained broken. Rather than just all of them togheter in an implicit good ending.
Lunes and scile are also awful dont take me wrong.
None of these endings had right to be good.
you DID put the short hair on your Maelle right bros?
face reality and go live your actual life, stop the escapism grief cope
vs
ignore your real life and its problems, pretend they dont exist, go full dive into endlessly repetitive meaningless escapism until you lose yourself
no wonder Anon Babble prefers the second one
Do Monoco’s side quest smart guy.
Why the fuck does Percee do such ridiculous damage?
because the director loves power fantasies, that's all there is to it
Learn english.
Every character has one turn, one shot setups by the end game that reach into the dozens or hundreds of millions.
Maelles is the strongest due to the way double damage & Virtuose Stance combine but still.
I took that as more she just made new ones. It's not like she knew many people in Lumiere since she seemed to be quite the loner.
As for Pierre I assumed it's the same, but Sciel just told her enough about him that she made a pretty good copy of him.
I never changed any hair or costume for the entire game.
Maelle doesn't really care about Gustave.
Yes she does, retard. She has two lifetimes worth of memories, and Gustave was a central figure in one of those lives. His morals, his kindness, and his humor, are among the things that rubbed off on her because he was her surrogate dad. I'd argue that she still deeply cares about him, but now he's got his happy end with Sophie, so Maelle/Alicia can focus their attention on Verso who is miserable.
Real Verso was the good one. That's why siding with the last true fragment of his soul is the right thing to do.
Every single character is doing 9999 every hit by end game, Verso included.
Monocos outfits are the best
Malle is so OP her ending is canon because she could never lose to Verso.
You can't dodge/parry free aim so Verso wins
NTA but real omnipotency is surprisingly rare in religions. Even the christian God is much less about "he can do anything" and more about "he has already done everything".
Lune doesn't walk through the portal and doesn't get gommaged like Sciel/Esquie/Monoco
Seething with rage
1 hour in the real world is like years in the Canvas
Lune will get her revenge before Renoir deletes the canvas
She stops mourning Gustave now that she knows she can bring him back
I don't think Renoir even needs to destroy the canvas at that point, it collapsed from inside when boy Verso stopped painting
Anon Babble can relate to their dad telling them to leave their room and to stop playing with their toys and to get a job. Thats why they pick Maelle.
Double braids looks cutest
threads containing "that broke Anon Babble" should autosage or be met with permanent bans
Clea does care about Alicia going by her dialogue in the painting. She comes across as struggling with her grief over Verso and anger for the writers and then her parents pulling all this shit and let's it make her act bitter.
jannies applications are closed for now
if the assumption is correct, thats pretty cool
She wants to breath without pain! What a narcissist!
lmao
It's not that bad, she gets better.
Anon its time to shut off the game and find a job
Noooooo just a bit longer papa
Verso gave it to him. If you notice Verso also has a scar. They both keep it as a reminder even though they could heal it.
I don't have it saved but I remember a comic where it's basically
Girl going on adventure
Gets offered drug that effectively gives her the dopamine hits of going on adventure
Nervously tries it
Ends up a junkie in a dirty room
And many anons not seeing the problem with it or arguing for it. So yeah, it's no surprises Anon Babble prefers the escapism ending.
She also sucks as a painter because she's color blind.
Hey guys, you don’t understand! If you kill the paintress, everyone will die!
Was that so hard?
no come on son go enjoy the wagie life while looking like a gremlin abomination, just be confident son
Except the part about the people in the painting deserving to live you reductionist faggots.
Versocels need to get a fucking brain
The plot hinges on him not saying anything even when it was in his best interest to say something
Then go make her own painting and make her own Sciel and Lune.
The narrative really suffers from having a social link system. It really makes Verso look like the most evil motherfucker who ever lived when he listens to Lune/Sciel pour their hearts out to him, uses them as jizz dispensers, then kills them without a second thought
Npcs dont deserve to live
1. He needs them dead so that their chroma goes to Aline who he only cares about
2. Even if he told them, why would they listen to a senile literal who when they've been conditioned to kill the paintress their whole life
Not Lune, she's only good as a healslut, and that one rock move that does high break damage.
Every time I shut off my game all the NPCs die!
Even if they are real people, Maelle being able to just resurrect the painted people does automatically put them as lesser then anyone who is "real".
without a second thought
He's literally conflicted over it the entire game, he even helps Maelle defeat Renoir and only tips over to destroying the canvas when he sees Aline's real state.
It depends on how you look at staying in the painting is.
If you releate it to using drugs, hurting yourself, to cope with the loss of a son then yeah he is right.
If you relete it as obsessing with a hobby,as you are doing, then renoir is fucking stupid.
The lose of health he shows us from his wife make it seem is more akin to the former but is also mentioned she has lived in other paintings for hundreds of years so not sure renoir is that much realizable narrator there. A sad outcome if the devs leaving the painters power kinda unexplained.
I agree and i chose that, but i felt a lot of it was me being manipulated into feel bad for him since verso says is tired of painting. Yet this one was painted since verso was young so...was he tired already even before versos death or it just got tired after the Mother got in or verso died.
I still agree with releasing versos soul but i couldnt avoid feeling the hand of the devs pushing me to that rather than make me question if that was the right choice.
You're quoting a made up scenario you think you saw once in a drawing as if that has any basis in reality. You are arguing with a foundation of lies.
NPC's with their own free will and who can actively fight against you
Just admit you didn't play the game. Only retards right off 90% of the cast as NPC's to justify picking the bad ending.
Expedition 60 almost pulled it off
Even humans don't really have "free will". That's a religious concept. It's not free will that makes them NPCs, they are NPCs because they were created by Aline to play their part in fake Paris, they are actual NPCs
The only PCs are the painters
Uh, that ending isn't canon.
He's literally conflicted over it the entire game
Like hell he is
I think the intended take away is the first one, and by hundreds of years he probably means time in the paintings as well since time seems to move slower inside them.
Also how Aline pretty much immediately ran right back into it the second she could.
He is in zombie mode whole act3
I hate him so that means he has no depth, he's just man bad
Maellefags, everyone
If he was actually set on destroying the canvas long before the final boss he would've simply joined Renoir or betrayed the party mid-fight.
I've been playing cyberpunk, but I still can't scratch the E33 itch
This you?
I wanna cum on Alicia’s burn scars
Nah it was real. Wish I had saved it, can never seem to find it. I remember it being posted on her infrequently and always ending up being a thread arguing for and against escapism.
It's like a robot that gives her the drug and I swear she looks like one of the female Pokemon trainers.
I hate him so that means he has no depth, he's just man bad
Yes
They can't even leave the painting without evaporating, they're fake people
Shooting my cum into her empty eye socket...
Also how is the eye on the unburnt side of her face the missing one?
Also how Aline pretty much immediately ran right back into it the second she could.
I found this part funny. Alicia said she hid the canvas, but the implication with how fast Aline returned was that she pretty much knew exactly where it was already, and ran there the second she got off the floor.
Bitch was a fucking bloodhound.
You can’t even leave earth without suffocating. You’re a fake person.
Verso Derangment Syndrome
she ran back in
That is also another thing i dont get. So what prevents her or renoir from running back in eventually.
The whole point is she is addicted.
Yes I can, I just gotta take some air with me, canvas people cannot take chroma and exist outside of the painting
That’s nice, dear
Clea says it's a good spot but they all admit she'll likely find it really fast and she'll jump straight back in.
The war with the Writers, most likely.
The second he's out of the canvas, Clea's dragging him out of the house.
Air isn’t real
Comparing Alicia to the Demiurge while trying to defend her
That didnt stop her from fiving right in after.
How long must it have taken her to get in that fast? Like an hour?
Nah it was real.
That's not the point, dumbass. You're using memes to make a point rather than actual events or studies on observed human behavior. You are literally making less sense than the Tamarians from Star Trek, because at least they were quoting real events from their history to communicate.
So we agree she uses Verso as a sex slave, right?
Assuming Renoir isn't killed in some real world conflict, he'll likely come back in to kick Alicia out if she doesn't keep her promise eventually.
He was willing to compromise in the moment, which bought the canvas some time, but it's still doomed as long as Alicia can't let go and goes down the inevitable path of losing herself in it.
Never shows any sexual interest in any other character
Unhealthly obssessed with Verso
Probably
No, she uses Gustave but maintains eye contact with Verso the entire time as he plays the piano.
i dont play turn shit games
Yandere brocon. She couldn't wait to kill Painted Alicia and didn't let Verso say goodbye because she wants him all to herself.
Assuming Renoir isn't killed in some real world conflict
They’re gonna have a fun time with WWI around the corner
Fuck off glowie
Considering the time difference between the two worlds, and how short the timeframe in the 3rd act was, Aline must've beelined it straight to the painting.
If she could find a "good" hiding place that quickly, I'm really impressed.
December 33rd
I don't think they're in the same France anon.
how do you respond to this without sounding mad
Your face isn’t in the same France
BROS SPRONG IS ABOUT TO FINNA GET IT
That was fucking rude of you
You're right, but too many people have their egos tied up in liking the game. It is a 8/10, maybe a 9/10 if you are willing to overlook how simplistic the combat is and how poorly it drops some of the characters. But the problem is that the average game for the past 7 years has been a 5/10 or 6/10, so an 8/10 looks amazing to players who are desperate for something decent. And now that the games flaws are being pointed out more and more people can't accept that they overrated the game, so it's time to double down on it being the best ever.
He surely could have written more considering how important that information was. That would definitely greatly help lots of future expeditions.
All these hairstyles
Sciel and Lune's defaults are still the best
I like artist on Lune
That would honestly be a pretty tragic outcome in a sequel.
Her entire real family dies in their equivalent of WWI, while she's still in the painting, and she finally realizes her real family isn't something she can just wave her hands to bring back.
They are obviously not different people because no one acts if they are. Sciel wouldn't just pretend to like a ghoul that looked like her husband. People who say otherwise are just mad because they can't fathom an ending that isn't just outright good or outright bad.
nah, French bob goes hard, also Lune's messy bun
For me its:
Sciel: Clea's hair style
Lune: French Bob
Maelle: Short white
It's definitely not the 10/10 people are claiming it to be but it's a good game.
I wish that faggot spamming the "3.3 million copies sold" image saying shit like "what's your excuse for not playing it" would fucking die already. Faggots like that only turn people off shit.
I prefer Artist on Lune.
Long and loose is cute.
It’s a 6 at most
if you have to resort to calling someone a tranny, just admit you have no good argument
People who say otherwise are just mad because they can't fathom an ending that isn't just outright good or outright bad.
And this is why Maellechads won, while Versodoomers whine they can't just kill themselves.
if it's so bad how come i can't stop thinking about it ? I'm even considering NG+ and i rarely restart a game as soon as i finish it, or 100% one
struck a nerve?
Why are you mad people claim it's a 10/10 to them?
OOT is a 10/10 to many people but if take off the nostalgia goggles it's a mere 8 to me. So what.
Maellefags got to the point where they believe and unironically say "play the piano" instead of memeing it
What does it mean?
pig loves slop
WOOOOOW
heh, nope, cis and secure in my sexuality. I just think it's funny to see you flail so fucking hard and still have no argument. Your best attempt was "the author's not white!"
Realistically speaking, what was this expression meant to convey?
Gustave went out like an absolute Chad. Did Renoir respect him in his final moments?
so I did strike a nerve, got it
The realization that you can't paint over reality.
It means play the piano
pRenoir is the most difficult character to grasp in the game for me.
Even if Gustave did no damage, Renoir still visibly stumbled back and shat himself when Gustave charged at him with his arm attack
cis and secure
Normal people don't use the word cis, you're already playing into troon delusion, it's just a matter of time till you chop your balls off
Reminder Gustave was a pointless character that served almost no purpose other than to plagiarize Aerith's death and was almost immediately forgotten about.
Waste of development funding too because of the Cox hire.
He loves his painted family and the real Aline
Because they are wrong.
Why the fuck does Percee do such ridiculous damage?
The damage values in this game are fucked to shit, especially Maelle's. Percee has a damage multiplier of 2.64, higher than almost every other skill that also claims to be "medium" and even higher than a few "high" damage attacks especially if you get the additional bonus damage from hitting a marked target (5.28 damage mult under that condition). Here's a vid breaking down Maelle's damage youtube.com
Gustave serves as an example of a real hero protagonist who tragically met his end. It serves as a good contrast with Verso the pathological lying scumbag who belongs on a cross.
If Verso had saved him, the ending would have been very different.
Of course a bunch of recluse losers with nothing going for them but to escape in their video games, would find the ending that encourages escapism as the good one.
Stomps cane
Kills everyone
Spews pretentious gibberish
Refuses to elaborate
Leaves
Bitch, you'd better play that piano.
Don't make me get the brush
pRenoir's theme song is hella overrated.
That’s the irony of it all, isn’t it? In giving up on all life, Verso let the one person die that could’ve helped everyone get what they want.
How exactly? He was just a guy.
Assuming everything went the same way,
Gustave would have convinced Maelle to leave the portrait
Gustave would have told Verso to stop being such a faggot
Almost assuredly would have Talk no Jutsu'd Renoir into sparing the canvas
Verso would have just fought Gustave instead.
almost has a heart attack because Maelle kills his sister without letting him say goodbye
his sister hardly even noticed that he was there and didn't ask for time to say goodbye
ends the world and kills her without even thinking about her once if you don't do this part before the ending
Very cute siblings.
He created the lumina converter. Essentially, he created the power that the painters had. You could even say he could have been a painter himself, given the knowledge.
I genuinely believe this, that he was the hero protagonist who could have gotten the happy ending, but Verso let him die, and without him there Maelle became worse.
Gustave’s the type of guy that can talk no jutsu everyone into not being cringe. And if that fails, he’s a genius inventor that made the Lumina converter, and trained a bunch of kids into creating his arm. He might’ve been able to invent some macguffin that fixes everything
Verso ever losing to Shitave
Still the problem of Aline.
The lumina converter is just a story explanation of the equiping pictos abilities permanently. It does absolutly nothing in the story, and it certainly does not emulate the power of any of the painters.
The Verso/Maelle discourse is just another flavor of Final Fantasy Tactics Advance's ending.
Glad to see that after 21 years anons are as retarded as ever.
pictures taken moments before breaking what little remnant of balance the game might still have:
If Gustave lived, then it means the story couldn't instantly turn into the Verso and Paint Family Show. They clearly wanted Verso to take the spotlight from the start which was fucking retarded. Having both Gustave and Verso clashing as the story goes on would have been far more interesting but they fucked it all up because they wanted the broody and mysterious gravel voice stranger take the lead for some weird retarded reason. I would have been fine if Gustave died at the very end or something. The way they did it was rushed and tonal shift in everything from the story and characters changes way too fast.
Gustave had some crazy potential. What he lacked in raw strength, he made up for with his technological prowess. Verso himself isn’t even that strong, he’s lost many fights but only got away because he’s immortal.
No one takes Maellejunkie AGP escapism troons seriously
The painters absorb the chroma of fallen people to continue to paint, making them stronger.
The lumina converter uses lumina to create and improve pictos, making them stronger.
I never said it was the same thing, I said he essentially created the same power the painters had
The problem isn't talking down Renoir, It's talking down Aline. Renoir wants to destroy the painting because Aline won't let it go, even if it's killing her. And Maelle doesn't want to leave because the second she does Renoir destroys it.
Let's carve a path
Gustave living wouldn't have changed the story, aside from perhaps preventing it from happening. Gustave lives, the rest of the expedition has no reason to trust Verso. Verso doesn't join, they have basically none of the direction that helps them defeat the paintress in act 2. Realistically if Gustave lived and Verso couldn't help the expedition out, they would probably just run off and die somewhere like any other expedition.
Verso is a cuck bitch who couldn't carry a single expedition. Without CHADstave's Lumina Converter hard carry he'd still be playing with his micropenis completely forgotten
Golden route dlc coming soon. Trust the plan.
I really like how even if he doesn't kill him, he fucked up painted Renoir pretty good with his last hit. You see Painted Renoir back up as he comes running at him, Knocked him flying into the wall and he was covered in dirt and blood after the hit.
they wanted the broody and mysterious gravel voice stranger take the lead for some weird retarded reason.
Because they thought the story would be cooler as a family drama than just as an adventure to save a doomed world. I think they chose right.
playing 100 line last defense academy forever
The ideal scenario would be, now that both Aline and Renoir are both kicked out of the painting, they can actually have a constructive talk without the context of trying to kill each other. Like Clea suggested in the first place before they both went full retard.
Gustave probably would’ve vouched for Verso
Why would they not trust Verso? The way he'd live would be Verso running out to save him, since Maelle is trapped and Lune and Sciel are stuck fighting the lampshitter. The hypothetical outcome of Gustave surviving painted Renoir would basically rely on Verso actually saving him, which he said he could have done.
If Verso the Betrayer had saved Gustave and not let him die they probably would have trusted him on that alone.
Why don’t we take the canvas, and push it somewhere else?!
It's not that the painter absorbs chroma of fallen people. It's more that it was his chroma to begin with, and it returns to the painter when the life it created or fuels expires
That doesn't seem like even remotely similar to the powers the painters had
What would Clea think of Gustave?
it was like she was looking at walking garbage
painted fucking shits
Footjobs
She's completly indifferent to painted people and is the one character who consistently does horrible shit to painted people, so take a guess
i cant fathom getting the maelle ending and not realizing how creepy and wrong it is
i'm not implying verso wasn't a dangerous sack of shit but cmon, you can see in maelle's eyes in the end that something is very wrong and there was some kind of philosophical test that you failed
i did not get the other ending so i can't argue about that one
Same thing she thinks of everyone, walking garbage bags
god I want to fuck her so bad
Simon turned on real Clea.
Why would they not trust Verso?
Probably the same reasons the other expeditions Verso tried to help didn't trust him. Part of why 33 lets him come along is because they recognize that they're completely fucked without his help, because Gustave is gone. They don't even necessarily trust him, especially after the reveal that he's Renoir's son, he's just the only hope they have.
We don’t need eyes where we’re going
Maelle doesn't even look happy, the only good thing about it is that Sciel and Lune survive, and Gustave and Sophie are alive again.
Malle ending
Black and white monochrome
Jump scare
Horror music
Claire Obscura theme doesn't even play
Verso ending
Bright and colourful palette
Entire family is shown together and getting over their grief
Uplifting version of the Claire Obscura theme plays
And yet Maellefags will tell you her ending is the "good" one lol
Unironically, Esquie would vouch for Verso
If I was a painter I would have made a painting that's just nothing but Sciel's and Lune's in harem outfits, the only difference being their hairstyles.
but muh waifu gets erased so its bad
Never mind the thousands of people killed
Knowing Verso, he'd probably eventually fumble that trust through his lies.
He's terrified of having the same scenario with Julie and her expedition happen again.
Esquie and Monoco agreed with Verso to the very end
Monoco knew everything and he deliberately didn't tell anyone either, but you see no one calling him a liar
Why is Anon Babble so shit today.
There is no outright good one, that's the point.
Maybe I didn't explain myself correctly.
I am not saying he gets the same powers as the painters, I am saying that he, as a normal human, or whatever you want to call them, created a device that essentially absorbs the life force of a nevron, and makes them stronger, much in the same way that the painters take their chroma. Whether it was theirs to begin with or not, they still need to kill and reclaim it.
I am saying that he, as a normal ass person, essentially, not exactly, but essentially, created the power of what is basically their gods.
today
They're already killed at the end of act 2 retard and the ones she brings back are destined to die when Maelle runs out of gas
You're on a Chinese image board with people who burry themselves in fantasy to escape the sad reality of their existence.
The Verso ending is generic. The Maelle ending has kino cinematography.
They don't matter
(You) don’t matter
Verso's ending is nice to have for the canon correctness.
Maelle's ending is kino because it's so wrong and genuinely bad. Better shitposting potential too.
It's generic
So? It's good, uplifiting, truly kino
I matter to my mom, she'd push me into rehab if I became a drug addict
She is just like Verso
DELETE THIS
Uh the horror ending is just as good as the happy ending
Maelletard...
What would he have done?
Une vie à t'aimer is so fucking good.
He'd gank Maelle at the end of Act 2 when he got the inkling she wanted to stay.
100% would have burned the canvas down.
une vie à peindre is the better one
Reveals the truth even at the cost of world peace
He'd burn that canvas
You know, it's very clear that Maelle is just as much a liar and hypocrite as verso is, we just don't get to see it as much as with verso. We do get glimpses of it though, when she kills painted alicia and lies to renoir about leaving the canvas.
With that, add the downright sociopathic sister, you got a pretty shitty family.
Maybe the writters were right all along.
Was Alicia a brocon for either brother (-figure)?
Just for Verso
Maybe the writers were right all along
Always have been
The devs have a clearly bias lets not fool ourselves. If renoir and aline divorced i could at least see it as a bad end.
The painting was cope, but they should have shown the family being still broken even after that.
I don't care about what actually happened, no pretty colors means ending bad!
The mind of a Versofag.
As a Versogod I have to admit Alicia's ending is cinematic kino with meme potential.
Tortured by his crush Julie
Forced to murder his crush Julie to keep the lie from being revealed
Promise to bring Julie back once Aline is free from Renoir
Find out Aline is completely psycho and is dying in the real world and can't bring back Julie
Fuck it time to end the canvas
Cinematography matters retard-kun
Clea is the only Dessendre who doesn't lie and is completely forthright.
What's funny is how dramatic the music is when you really know what's going on.
Finished game today and honestly stunned myself. After big reveal at the end of Act2 I lost all will to save "people". Why bother if it's all fake and its killing her. Verso was piece of shit and I hated him but Maelle suicide wish was also pretty retarded. I only wanted Gustave back but real Gustave would have wanted her to live.
I didn't really get the feeling that the family was "fixed" in the Verso ending. It felt more like a broken family being forced to face the reality of their situation.
Literally the point of both characters is that they're doing the right thing for the wrong reasons.
Versos ending is right in that it ends the self destruction of Aline and Alicia permanently staying in the canvas abandoning the outside world while also giving real Versos soul the relief he wants. But Verso does it all because he's tired of living.
Maelle's ending is right in protecting the humans and fantasy species of the canvas which are all sentient. But Alicia does it all because she's a cripple in the real world and wants to stay with the painted version of his dead brother forever while completely disregarding everyone's wishes but hers.
The only "good" part of Maelle's ending is the fact that the canvas wasn't immediately destroyed. It's a bad ending for Maelle herself, as well as Verso.
And even then, there's a moral discussion to be had about leaving sentient beings at the mercy of an unstable god.
A more mature Alicia that had time to properly process her grief and come to terms with loss could always repaint the world from her memories, and finally give its inhabitants the happiness they deserve, rather than the broken version of her in her ending.
Nah, the family was definitely not all fixed just because they got rid of the verso canvas.
Clea still doesn't give a shit and is probably more focused on her war.
Renoir and Aline are clearly still struggling, specially with how long and how awkward it was for them to embrace.
Alicia is shown left alone, thinking about the life she could have had.
Everyone else is waving goodbye
Gustave is is beckoning Alicia to join them
What did they mean by this?
It felt more like a broken family being forced to face the reality of their situation.
It's a situation that doesn't get "fixed" immediately, but unironically this is the first step.
No doubt Renoir and Aline have French make up sex within days of ending.
Yes, it helps retards like you find an ending you prefer without having to use your brain to reach a rational conclusion. You can just look at the pretty colors and decide from that. I'm happy for you.
they'll call you a schizo because they don't want to face the truth
But Verso does it all because he's tired of living.
The game gives enough clues for you to figure it out that it's not only that, and that his actions in Act III are not consistent with his one and only driving motivation being to kill himself.
She's moved on from everyone waving but can't move on from Gustave
The director made it clear which ending is the good canon one.
You lost, and all you can do is cry about it here.
Maelle in party
You didnt beat it
I did the Maelle ending first because, much like Renoir I wanted to trust her and it immediately bit me in the ass...
lovin' the daily seethin this game gets from the sharty types btw (the people who don't actually play vidya just complain about them incessantly)
I 100%/platinum'd game yesterday
I'll just play something else now, but can't decide what I'm an idort and it pains me so
Even the secret super boss is kind of a pushover
fo real, I one-shotted him twice in a row and I feel no regret, I'm ready to move on to other things now.
Literally called Act 3: Maelle
People still think Verso is the true ending
You and her are schizos
I assumed Aline leaning into Renoir and letting him comfort her is meant to be them taking the first steps towards reconciliation, from Renoir and Painted Verso both forcing Aline and Alicia to confront the truth.
Yeah
He saves Alicia's life in it
Alicia is dead. My name is Maelle.
I did the Maelle ending first because, much like Renoir I wanted to trust her and it immediately bit me in the ass...
I think that's the point. The moment you see Verso is the moment that it's supposed to cement that fact that she's not willing to let go, and she's on a path of assured ruin.
She outright ignored her own brother's dying wish.
Now telll me the names of the two epilogues
Troon is upset about being deadnamed
Your tombstone will have your birthname
Why are we even arguing about which ending is canon or not? Unless sandfall announces a sequel it doesn't matter.
This is giving me shades of people arguing in Persona 5 Makoto was the canon romance cause in one scene the protagonist grabs her so she doesn't fall.
A Life to Sneed
A Life to Feed
pick maelle ending
verso is still alive and the star of the ending
pick verso ending
maelle is the only one alive
It's shitposting. Saying something divisive is "canon" naturally pisses people off.
That's how grief works. You don't instantly get over it a day after someone dies. It takes weeks or months. Sometimes even years later it can still hurt. But the important thing is that you cope with it and become a stronger person for it. That's how life works. Otherwise humanity would not exist as people would be killing themselves after their loved ones or parents die.
And? An act being named after the character doesn't mean the character is right. What point are you even trying to make with this?
Retard.
Play the game again and now pay attention.
People think Gustave was the true hero who would have gotten the perfect ending
lmao, no he wasn't. This little nigga would have saved the day.
Yes it does
No it doesn't. If the Act was titled "Your mom is a whore" does that mean it was right?
Yes
Noco wasn't a playable character
We were robbed
Watching the epilogue really, really rubbed me the wrong way. It's kind of baffling to me that there's any doubt about the moral axis of the endings when one of them is so evidently evil.
Not like Verso's didn't made me upset in a different way though, but letting go is part of living.
The upping theme and bright colors in comparision to the other ending make it seem like a good one.
I would have prefered both endins to be bittersweet but there is a clear BAD one which i feel undermines the choice done at the end.
Didn't start making out
wtf I thought this was french.
do the a.i. thing and have them kiss
I don't understand how this stuff works
Did PVerso consider PAlicia his real sister, rather than Maelle?
He considered Palicia his sister, but he cared more about Alicia (Maelle).
Kind of fucked you start hearing the real Verso burning to death then.
games have been telling you to learn to let go for decades
some people on Anon Babble have a visceral hateful reaction to this lesson every time it pops up
I did thing it was funny that was the message of Dead Money and people just glitched the game to get all the bars.
It's because you spend the entire game fighting as Maelle, and by the end, you really want to believe she'll do the right thing and make the right choices.
The epilogue starts happy, but makes it clear that she's an unstable 16 year old girl that's making all the wrong choices.
Nah, I think he cared more about Painted Alicia. Anytime Maelle tried to show him affection, he brushed her off, but he initiated affection with PAlicia and got fucking pissed when he learned Maelle killed her without giving him a chance to say goodbye
Someone needs to make a chatbot of Alicia so I can RP to the idea of cumming in her eye socket and rubbing my cum on her burns.
The "Gustave wants Alicia to join him death" schizos
I trust Esquie above everyone, and he was fine with Verso's plan.
Simple for me.
I don't think that's what it is either because I can't imagine Gustave being "yeah just kill yourself girl", but it is kinda odd he's beckoning her over waving.
That’s your headcanon, buddy. No one else’s
He’s obviously saying
”Come with me for the true ending dlc!”
when he learned
You said that like she didn't do it right in front of him...
Anytime Maelle tried to show him affection, he brushed her off
That doesn't mean he cares less for her though. It means he cares more, and knows that for her own sake, she can't get attached to him.
Why was Verso so against the idea with the axons?
What does Renoir think of pVerso?
He got killed and got other expeditions killed by trying to fight them.
Also, wo don't get anything else on the mystery lady that Verso fancies other than the recording of Verso lamenting not telling her the truth. I was expecting a bit more, I guess.
Yeah but what does that matter to him, he wants to die and the Axon's were the only option left.
He thinks of him the way you think of an ant when you step on it
Renoir and Alicia seem to be the only two who treat the people of the canvas with any respect, especially when he sincerely apologizes to painted Verso.
It's just for Renoir, his love for his family wins out over his concerns for them.
He didn't think it was a possibility for an expedition to actually kill an Axon.
Keep in mind, the Lumina converter was the brand new MacGuffin that even made it possible. He'd never seen anything like it before.
He's immortal. He's unable to defeat the Axons by himself. He needs the expeditioners to actually defeat the Axons. He wanted to get Aline out of the canvas before she killed herself (and accepted his death by proxy).
That moment hit me harder than I expected. You spend so much time with Painted Verso that you kinda forget there's an actual person behind all that. Then you hear the real screams, the raw *human* pain, and it’s like—oh. He *was* real. He *died*. It recontextualizes everything that came before and makes all the choices feel so much heavier. Like the game waits until the very end to remind you there was never truly a happy version of this story.
Verso's soul isn't unhappy in the painting, only brainlet Versofags claim this as a last ditch attempt to justify genociding everyone for the shitter Verso.
What are some other games with a important character who's a dad losing his son
Verso's soul isn't unhappy in the painting
He is. He wants to stop painting. Let him.
Banner Saga
Kid Verso likes painting, but he doesn’t like what the canvas has done to his family
Rewatched the cutscene
oh shit
Real Alicia is so fucked up mentally
Rook loses his daughter, not a son
I love how much context you miss from cutscenes on a first playthrough.
Rewatching all the cutscenes really gives you an extra layer of appreciation.
She did watch her brother burn to death in front of her. Not helped by the fact the fire was caused by her fuck up to begin with.
Yeah. She was traumatized, and needed help, but her parents were too busy fighting each other, and her older sister was too busy with her revengeboner.
She never had a fucking chance.
The whole family is a clusterfucker, I'd say it's too late to really help Alicia at this point.
