Are these the 5 best games of the decade so far?

Factorio and Nine Sols are irrelevant dogshit, otherwise it's alright.

No

It should be kenshi, yakuza 0 and a bunch weird chink shit.

other way around

doom Eternal

Nine sols

Exp 33

Not even the best in their genres this decade

kenshi

Based

Of the decade

No Elden Ring

Nine sols out of nowhere

Extremely niche factorio

Doom and Expedition 33

nice bait though.

for me:

E33
BG3
Astro Bot
Mouthwashing
Atomicrops

Fow now there's only 2, BG3 and Elden Ring.
GTA6 will be the next one, despite the average nerd opinion here.

All European

Huh, interesting. Why can't Americans make games?

The only correct opinion here.

normalfag shit

people like this are on the same board as me

Nine Sols and Doom Eternal

European

Cyberpunk 2077 should be up there instead of one of those indie Dad games. I've never even heard of Nine Sols.

you've been here for 2 years zoomzoom, easy on the larping

I've been here since 2016.

Jedi Survivor
Black Mesa
Sonic/Shadow Generations
Expedition 33
A Plauge Tale Requim

Goty(1)(1).jpg - 2544x2375, 2.44M

Anon Babble's taste has gone to shit in the last few years. Zoomers were a mistake

Kenshi is a 2010's game. it came out in 2018.

actually, yeah, drop both the indie Dad games for Elden Ring and Cyberpunk and you probably got it. i'd also put one of Modern Warfare reboots over nu Doom, personally, but its whatever.

Elden Ring mogs your pretentious trash

you're not even cancerfag

wow.jpg - 204x247, 8.97K

nine sols is probably recency bias. Replace it with rdr2.
factorio is a weird choice but you do you, I would have picked disco Elysium for variety.
Replace baldur's gate with elden ring even if I don't like either.

What are the better games in the genre?

Disco Elysium is 2019.

parryslop

trannyslop

furry parryslop

peak fps

autismslop

If these are really the best, this is the worst decade in gaming so far.

So far the top 3 are Elden Ring, E33 and Wukong.

RE: Village
Tales of Arise
E33
Elden Ring
Lies of P

oh well I'm stupid I thought we were talking about games of the last 10 years (rdr2 is also 2018). But still disco being 2019 feels weird, I'd have put it there anyways. 2019 Simulation theory is real.

nah, it's these.

2020s top 5.png - 1420x300, 572.5K

I've been here longer than you, I'm older than you, and I've played more games than you. Cry about it fucking faggot.

Elden Ring

ps4 game lmao

only 1/5 of these games can be played for 1000+ hours

more like movie of the year

Baldur's Gate 3, Expedition 33, and and Doom Eternal are in mine for sure, but I haven't played Nine Sols or Factorio, and in fact I've played so few 2020s games that my top 5 has to be E33, BG3, D:E, Metaphor, and Elden Ring simply because I can't think of any other games from this decade that I've played which could give them competition.

Crazy how we're halfway through with this decade and there's not a single excellent or groundbreaking game attributed to it. I'd wager it's the same for literature, music, and film, but I don't keep up with them as much.
What happened?

The Last of Us Part II
It Takes Two
Elden Ring
Baldur's Gate 3
Astro Bot

Doom's always been a European shooter, dumbass. American shooters are slow consoleslop like Halo and Battlefield.

Developers went full retard. That's the simplest way to put it.

Baldur's Gate 3 was so groundbreaking it inspired plea articles from others devs begging RPG players not to expect *that* much from them. lol

2020 game tho, so it's in the running.

Lies of P

Hell yeah, I nominate this one too.

(You)

I see what you did there. You're also correct.

Any list that doesn't include Elden Ring should be ignored.

It's a bastardization of Souls.

It's still the best game of the 2020s so far, which says more about the dire state of this generation than anything.

I didn't buy into the ER hype but you're lying to yourself if it wasn't considered a groundbreaking game that seized the zeitgeist.

It's still the best game of the 2020s so far,

Not when BG3, E33, and Astro Bot exist lil bro

soulslop stretched for hundred hours full of recicled bosses and assets

How can anyone likes this shit?

literally the highest rated game of all time is "not on the team"

you serious retard?

top 250.jpg - 4173x2637, 3.43M

this. Elden Ring made waves and inspired culture. there's a reason we still talk about it but Wukong came and went.

POV: you're a Hell Caina trying to dodge Dante's 30-hit sequence till you have a chance to hit him once

It's the most deserving title so far, I agree. By groundbreaking I meant innovative. The open world was great, but other than that FROM wasn't treading new ground. Maybe we ran out of ground to tread

Baldur's Gate 3 is a great time on the first playthrough, but it's boring after that. The various classes and origins suggest a game with deep replay value, but the narrative becomes dull when you realise, on experimenting, that there is only the illusion of choice in most situations. Betray Vlaakith and she'll try to kill you, obey Vlaakith and she'll try to kill you, do anything in between and she'll still try to kill you. It's always like this, and that's why I can't put BG3 on my Best Of list. I don't care about the game's supposed "wokeness," because I'm a liberal fag, but I do take issue with the shallowness of the role-playing. It was advertised as something better.

Now, Doom Eternal is a game I keep going back to. The options for weapons and playstyles are much more meaningful than the delusive dialogue options in BG3, and Nightmare mode is a fiendishly addictive challenge. I'd say Eternal is certainly one of the classics of this decade.

Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess
Magenta Horizon: Neverending Harvest
Streets of Rage 4
Hi-Fi Rush
either Stranger of Paradise, Doom Eternal, or Kirby Forgotten Land

expedition 33

i don't know, haven't finished it yet

BG3

maybe, but considering how shit this decade has been it's not saying much

doom eternal

100% the best game of the last 2 decades

no balatro

other than cowadooty i agree with you

kenshi came out in 2016, retard.

My personal top 5 so far. Runners up include

Pocky and Rocky Reshrined

Kill Knight

Echoes of Wisdom

Curse Crackers

Ys IX

Haste: Broken Worlds (this might knock something out of the top 5 honestly)

Rift of the Necrodancer

Trials of Mana

chart (17).png - 1753x300, 637.41K

lmao the decade so far really has been absolute shit if this is what we have (besides factiorio, which is a actually a good, creative and innovative game)

souls was already fuckhuge before elden ring, generation z person.

Based TENGO enjoyer.

i understand. i'm just not a Doom guy. i WISH Darktide was good enough to put there instead. i might've put Space Marine 2 instead if i wasn't still procrastinating playing it. lol

if you don't see that Elden Ring propelled them to even greater heights, i don't know what to tell you.

holy slop

They are inarguably the best action game developers working right now. Been going really hard on Wild Guns Reloaded recently too and I love it to death

Ghostrunner released in 2020 so obviously not.

never heard of nine sols

2d furry game

i m a 21st century kinda nigga, get this shit out my face. 2d books are 2d go read a book fag.

doom isnt good either

gnomes
loop hero
terreria
pinball fx
rdr2

echo's of yi samsara is kind of cool too
lords of the fallen ps5 was decent

What are some good tables for Pinball FX? I hear their conversations tend to be better than their original tables

They're super consistent yeah, though my favorite is Ninja Warriors Once Again which was 2019. Shadow of the Ninja Reborn probably should've been in running for my 5th slot in but all the other action games I listed are excellent too.

Damn, Kunitsu-Gami is that good huh? Tell me about it, been really curious about that game but haven't bitten. Seems you have pretty similar taste in action games to me

Magenta Horizon is fucking cool and I love how it looks. I've only played the demo but the full game is on the docket for this year

Factorio has demonstrated lasting appeal unlike the rest so no.

People are going to have a rude awakening when the GOTY awards start happening and people realize that Expedition 33 has fantastic music and an interesting story/characters but that gameplay is an important part of, y'know, video*games*, and in that department it's just alright.

Titanfall 2
Death Stranding
Starfield
Super Mario Maker
Hi-Fi Rush

Baldur's Gate 3 was so groundbreaking

A turn based crpg.. in 2023
Yeah okay bud

my favorite releases this decade are
last of us 2 (for the gameplay)
fire emblem engage
baldurs gate 3
RE4 remake
Metroid dread

I'm not including remasters or remakes (RE4 is weird cause it's more like a new game with an RE4 skin on it than a remake so I included it) There's more games I enjoyed but I don't remember what they are off the top of my head and I don't know every release date

It really strikes the ideal balance with what it went for, where there is JUST enough going on in the Action & TD sides where keeping track of both isn't overwhelming but the occasional stage where you're only doing one isn't boring. There's also a really good mixture of planning and on-the-fly decision-making when it comes to the strategy since the Day can be optimized for setup but there's always something to keep your eye on while you focus down certain enemies just in case. The game's pace is excellent with it constantly throwing new ideas at you between hazards, traps, villager roles, and enemies. It's also just very soulful overall; every single map was modeled in real life on tabletop scale first, every song on the OST was recorded outside in the woods, they commissioned a traditional Japanese performance group to promote the game. I haven't even finished NG+ yet but I want to soon since they're adding a score attack mode to go along with the Switch 2 port.

It's easily the best Capcom game in over a decade.

Ah shit, I'm sold. Thanks for the write up, that sounds exactly up my alley!

neo Capcom game

no thanks

Gay Bear sex 3

not ARMORED KINO 6

ice dude.webm - 850x354, 3.95M

My favorites would be:

Baldur's Gate 3
Red Dead 2
Clair Obscur
Hades
Returnal

They are literally irrelevant outside of autists

Decent list
I would drop Expedition 33 and Nine Sols, and replace it with Helldivers 2 and UFO 50.

Guess I will post mine too. Did you change your mind on H:FW vs PT:R?

2020sGOTYS.png - 1324x508, 1.08M

nice cutscene

BG3 has a literal dogshit story and dogshit characters... how do you people like it?

dogshit.png - 410x353, 78.84K

Because it's fun.

it's a rpg... the story and characters are kind of a big part of whether it is fun or not

muh story

kill yourself
i play GAMES for the GAMEplay

zoomers have no critical thinking skills
every new game is the best game of all time, since BOTW . they proclaimed it would revolutionize the industry and all future open world games

E33

Rogue Trader

BG3

Elden Ring

Black Souls 2

Silksong and Underrail: Infusion will probably replace RT and ER if they actually deliver.

they proclaimed it would revolutionize the industry

and it has
how many games since then have used the sheikah tower system?

It amazes me people give BG2 a pass as a good game when its gameplay is fucking trash and encounters require trial-and-error if you're not looking them up ahead of time but you get some crappy romances and that makes it 10/10

Why would they use a terrible system that encourages casualization?

b-but it's le revolutionary

They're nothing but free fast travel points that fill in the map for you. It doesn't matter if you think they're better than ubisoft towers because they don't point you in the direction of camps or shrines, it's still laziness, and it encourages laziness. Removing them would do absolutely no harm to the game.

E33

kino masterpiece, easily in the top 5 of the decade

BG3

i'm not a homosexual so i don't play slop made for faggots

nine sols

100% in the top 5 of the decade so far, absolute kino of the highest order. it's better than E33 and i say this as a jrpgfag

Doom Eternal

i don't play shooters

Factorio

i'm not autistic

my top 5 of the decade is probably, in no order

E33

Nine Sols

Octopath Traveler 2

Rebirth

Lies of P

i lied, replace Rebirth with Lost Judgment

i'm not a homosexual so i don't play slop made for faggots

but anon... you have e33 in your top 5

yes. E33 is a based game made by white gigachads for white gigachads. BG3 is AIDS-ridden slop made by faggots for faggots.

/thread

MY FUCKING EYES
MY FUCKING SIDES

i'm not a homosexual so i don't play slop made for faggots

has souls slop with twink main character in top 5

This ain't adding up!

the only way you could consider LoP gay in any way is if you're a faggot yourself who lusts for the main character, there's not a single homosexual or brown person in the entire game. as opposed to BG3 where literally everyone is gay and half of the characters are brown

Outer Wilds and Death Stranding 2 should be there

there's not a single homosexual or brown person in the entire game

Is Pinocchio not Italian?

Outer Wilds

The game's dogshit mate

b-but it's by the Fallout devs

And?

b-but it's by the Fallout devs

Damn you just made me realized I've only played 5 games released from this decade
By default Doom Eternal, Ori and the Will of the Wisps, Expedition 33, Cyberpunk 2077 (this is the worst of the bunch), and the System Shock Remake win for me

outer wilds anons, not The Outer Worlds.

replace doom with elden ring and it’s a good list

are you trying to claim zelda invented ubisoft towers?

games should only be made for autists

He's gonna claim that they're totally superior to Ubisoft towers, even though they basically serve the same purpose.

Get rid of bald turd gay 3 otherwise yeah

Outer Wilds

2019

anyone who didn't play Nine Sols needs to play it immediately, and i'm not memeing whatsoever. it is genuinely a 10/10

What are you talking about? The combat and exploration are some of the most praised elements of the game? The combat especially is a huge step up compared to nearly every JRPG

The combat especially is a huge step up compared to nearly every JRPG

the gameplay is great though. i won't say it's better than every other jrpg because i'm actually a fan of jrpg's and enjoy proper turn based combat, but it's nice to mix things up once in a while and i had a ton of fun with E33's gameplay.
you didn't play it so how would you even know, faggot?

Name JRPGs with better combat other than SaGa games.

inb4 Fatlus shit

>inb4 Fatlus shit

considering SMT VV is arguably the pinnacle of turn-based combat, yeah, fatlus shit.

SMT VV is arguably the pinnacle of turn-based combat

Lol
Lmao

no cyberpunk

faggot

prove that you played SMT VV right now or kill yourself, retard. btw i love E33 and as a total package i think it's 20x better than SMT VV.

Cyberpunk is extraordinarily overrated at this point. No idea why everyone calls it one of the greatest of the decade.

Elden shills seething because their slop isn't included in the OP

Lmaooo

it's at least top 10 if it's not top 5, you being a homosexual contrarian subhuman doesn't change that

It's the same braindead easy "abuse elemental weaknesses" shit as Persona games, and also stripped of the interesting exploration of SMT 3.

I bet you don't even get paid to shill. How pathetic.

if i'm supposedly getting paid i should probably be fired or demoted for saying it would land in the 6-10 spot instead of top 5

9 hours

pretty pathetic, i bet you played on normal too. pussy

Rollslop but open world

Groundbreaking

I played on hard. I'm considering installing some kind of mod to up the difficulty.
9 hours is more than enough to judge any kind of game. "I-It gets good 50 hours in" is always a cope, unless the preceding 50 hours were intentionally bad to prove some kind of point.

it's good way before 9 hours, you just have bad taste
besides, comparing E33 to a typical turn-based game is stupid. i loved E33 combat but wouldn't want every turn-based game to have the same systems since it's not fully turn-based
