LoL is the only real esport left at this point. CSGo is still lingering in limbo, mostly propped up by skin gambling and slavs, nobody really cares about Valorant. Riot tried to force the mobile version of LoL as an esport and it didn't last a year.
Valve gave up on the international years ago and the declining prize pool and viewership are the proof.

From what I saw so far, game is rather complicated. Why intentionally making game that way? It only guarantees low player count, people mostly don't want to spend many hours slowly grasping basic mechanics. Take arena shooters for example - it's easy to jump in but there are still mechanics or knowledge behind that initial experience to master.
deadlock has literally the best gameplay of any moba ever but valve is slowcooking it which makes me not intrested as the changes are coming very slowly
