When can those of us who ordered from Nintendo expect to get our new console? I paid extra to get the second shipping tier. The third tier was more expensive and said it would “ship overnight”.
I would imagine all of them will arrive on launch day regardless
Post launch day plans
Mine is getting shipped via Walmart, so god knows when it will come in. I was going to try to take a 1/2 day from work and just chill if it arrives on launch day. Might go through the drive thru and get something as well, sort of a tradition whenever a new console comes out for me.

Donkey Kong Bananza is the big short-term one. Metroid Prime 4 was the main reason I wanted to get it for stuff coming out this year. Will probably do the upgrade for ToTK and mess around a little with it.
I never got far in Echoes of Wisdom and didn't do the DLC for Pokemon Violet so with the patches coming out for them might pick them back up. I bought Xenoblade Chronicles X and put that and the rest of the Xenoblade DLC I need to beat on hold to see if they will come out with a Switch 2 patch for them.
Holy shit this thing's coming out already? Any games besides donkey kong?
Mario Kart World
Hyrule Warriors Age of Imprisonment
Metroid Prime 4
Pokemon Legends Z-A
Kirby and the Forgotten Land DLC
Pizza for me on launch
next generation
stop the lies you are over 2 generations behind
Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma will be the first game I boot up on my Switch 2. Also getting Mario Kart World.
I don’t understand how you guys can have these threads without inevitable doomposters showing up to rain on your parades
all shit
Hyrule warriors
is it just more botw era chatacters? I didn't mind the first one because it had fab service from all eras but the second one was a snooze fest. That kind of gameplay alone isn't enough to hold me
He's not even trying with his doomposts anymore. All he does is repeat the same shit like "no hype" or "Switch 2 will brick" over and over
Post launch day plans
Watching the digital foundry videos on the games because the system is pretty amusiing
Post launch day purchases
Probably bread and things for dinnet
Didn't get a pre order, but I plan on going to best buy for the midnight release to hopefully get one. How early should I arrive?
Post launch day plans
Gonna be playing Rune Factory

Just the console and Mario Kart since it comes with the console. Waiting for Prime 4. Maybe Pokemon later this year, don't know why I've been feeling nostalgic for it as of late.

Aww yes... The PlayStation 4 generation is about to release in four days. And at in inflated price tag to boot.
Don't worry about making a console only version of your catch up console to sell at a reduced price. Why would anyone care about market share?
he thinks generations are defined by power
Hello summer child
They clearly are though. Even by Nintendo's standards.
I don't need to pay more money for a less powerful console. I'd rather just upgrade my PC.
Yeah, it's a tie-in to TOTK specifically. I am in the same boat as you; without the franchise-wide fanservice, this game just doesn't appeal to me.
Maybe people who are really into BOTW lore specifically would enjoy it, but iirc the second game was officially declared non-canon, which disappointed that subset of fans.
They never called it non-canon. They marketed it as canon, ignored that via time travel non-sense, then made it non-canon in the forms of the champions who warped back never acknowledging it.
Can we please have Giant Bomb threads on the morning and day and night of the console's launch.
I miss old Anon Babble.
Enjoy your non exclusives
I've never played a Rune Factory/Story of Seasons/Harvest Moon game, but I did like Stardew Valley. Should I get Rune Factor Guardians of Azuma? I have no idea if it's the kind of game I'll like, but it does look cozy.
There’s nothing to be excited about with switch 2. Just buy it and shut up.
I played every Switch exclusive I wanted to on my computer.
Also there's way more PC exclusive games than any other platform.
The only people that should be excited for the Switch 2 are youtubers and streamers.
Plans
Mario Kart and maybe finally playing Tears of the Kingdom.
Purchases
Just the Switch 2 and the amiibo, the Pro controller pre-order got cancelled.
I've always thought it was funny how people on Anon Babble treat moder emujank as some kind of flex
the Pro controller
The fucking controller is $85 are they out of their fucking mind?
It's the 10th gen and Switch 2 has already shown to have more games that define its generation versus the Playstation 5 that has been continuously sharing games with its predecessor for 5 years now (only barely distancing it now)

Usually I'd agree with you, but it was a much better experience playing Switch games on the computer than on an actual Switch. And yes I also own a Switch. I just stopped buying games for it since it was so rare for them to go on sale.
Switch 2 has already shown to have more games that define its generation
You're not that far off. The PS5 is the only console I don't own. And I don't want one. I actually kind of want a Switch 2. I'm just not excited for it and I'm more than willing to wait and see how good or shit it is.
On the first year of its lifespan compared to the PS5, yeah?
I also expect the Switch 2 to be the main development platform for plenty of Japanese games, like a new Earth Defense Force, without them being forced to be crossgen with the PS4 (which was effectively ancient hardware at this point). Switch 2 has more allocated RAM, a faster and more efficient CPU, SSD storage, etc.
Buy this console made for children!!!
Are you saying the Switch is why the PS4's lifespan was so long? I never thought of it that way before. The whole XboxSeriesXBoxX/PS5 Generation is so fucked. There's no real defining line. It's all just one big blur.
compared to the PS5
extremely low bar
Are you saying the Switch is why the PS4's lifespan was so long?
More like the PS5 is a commercial failure in Japan so the third-party devs continued to make a PS4 version of their games, even some of them going as far as to greenlit Switch ports of their older titles in order to start creating a new audience (when some of them were entirely opposed at this idea in the Switch's early life). In the western market, the jump to the PS5 was obviously smoother by comparison so the PS4 versions didn't persist too long, but I don't exactly give a crap about modern western games
