$350-$400 range, $60 per game. I don't care about how much the specs would have to suffer to fit that, I'd buy that over what we have now.

Have to pay for performance patches on most games (and some games that really need patches don't have them period)

I got my steam deck for $500 or whatever the mid tier OLED version was, that's the upper limit for me vis-a-vis buying a handheld. $600 is out of the question, has to be under that. The video games themselves I can deal with $70, inflation is fucking nonstop and if it's a quality game I can cope, but I would rather the industry slumps or crashes and we go back to way scaled back production costs. Think I read that GTA6 has ballooned to 2 billion fucking dollars to make, that is genuinely insane and should not be happening. $60 is obviously unsustainable with those budgets, but vidya shouldn't be doing this anyway.

if the game seems like its actually full of content (real content) and 'worth' it then fucking MAYBE I can justify the price. like if the new mario kart has an actually decent amount of open world content on top of all the actual core racing stuff then I have no issues with buying it as part of the console bundle, but even the $90 seems steep as fuck (which seems to be entirely to force you to get the bundle)
