No. It looks good, the sound is fantastic, the gameplay was irking me at first but dodging/parry turned out better than I expected and fixed a large problem of turn-based JRPG gameplay, but overall, it's just an ok game.

But when the previous turn based games were abortions like BG3 and Metaphor, "ok game" is already miles ahead of the competition.

There are many games that are strong in one aspect, and weak in most others. BG3 is as strong in its weakest aspects as most RPGs are in their strongest aspect. It is just such an incredibly well-rounded game, and it especially excels in open-ended environmental-based combat, player choice and freedom, and interactivity/reactivity that are completely untouched by any other comparable RPG in existence.

Every single RPG with ONE good part got a better overall package. Even a "nice concept, awful execution" like Tides of numenera is better, because it offered something a bit different, a bit unique, a bit memorable, a bit interesting.
BG3 is a miles-high pile of mediocrity, with nothing interesting, nothing beautiful, nothing fun, nothing well-written. Just bland content after bland content, satiating the midwit consumer you are.

It’s a good game because like what’s mentioned, the combat of this game makes JRPG less boring and really keeps you engaged through this all or nothing system. Every turn means a lot because you can choose to drag the fight on if you are confident in your reflex or play it safe and take out as much enemies on the board as you can
If you try and play the game in expert level right from the get go the game becomes really fun when you’re forced to understand the enemy attack patterns and timing to get good.
I have a feeling it’s going to be a game where people invent their own challenges and try to beat it without getting hit once with all kinds of wacky builds.

I'm only a few hours in, but it is extremely good. It's a simple game, but that's also the reason why it's so polished.
Removing the fog, sharpening filter, most other post processing effects, and forcing it to display in HDR makes it look absolutely gorgeous too.
Only complaints I have are the forced upscaling, hard-coded raytracing, Unreal Engine stutters, and general poor optimization.
