I like the game, but late game DotN is just tedious, every yokai has a fucking buff and just constantly refills their ki so it doesn't matter if you deplete it
Isn't that the final NG+ level for that game? By that point you should have a build basically set up to handle that shit. You aren't also playing with the stone of penitence on as well are you, I can only imagine how much harder that makes the game at that point.

Keep upgrading your gear (underworld drops up to +40 w/o upgrades). Get your grace set bonus, like the one that gives you ~60% more dmg if you avoid taking hits. Also are you using confusion (i.e. 2 ailments)? That shit gives you so much more damage and is very easy to set up on most bosses with magic and yokai abilities.

Make sure you're confusing enemies as well. Your tonfa do purity damage so just throw on a soul core that is good at procc'ing another elemental debuff immediately (I use bakegani for saturation) and you will confuse enemies quickly and easily, giving you a big damage bonus.

Nioh 1 is harder. Enemies can actually be too short for your high attacks and you have to perfect ki pulse to remove corruption. They turned into 2 more of a button masher and they have more ways to trivialize it with Scampusses (this pisses off the 2fags). And Nioh 1 has the hardest boss imo, the giant slime in the shipyard.
