Watching friends who are playing the oblivion remake reminded me why I only played it only once. It was an early 360 title, ignoring pc release, and was doing a bunch of new things, but by God did it lack depth and content compared to Morrowind.

So a lot of people have played the game. Some fraction of that are expecting a sequel. So why wouldn't you expect there to be lots of hype. Unless GTA V was some widely panned trash like Starfield that failed all expectations.

I thought Vice City was the coolest shit as a kid, mostly because it had the most freedom in any video game I've seen up to that point, even something as simple as being able to get in, get out, and drive any car. But I haven't really cared about it since then. I did get GTA V to screw around with some friends, and I did have fun with that (the tennis and golf minigames were better than they had any right to be, honestly), but I really couldn't care less about VI. Especially since there's a high chance it's going to be an $80 monstrosity.
