If they insist on making Far Cry 3 for the fifth time, then they should focus more on gameplay aspects than they did with 6. The gunplay and enemy AI are genuinely terrible in that game. It's a shame too because of all the premises I dig 6's the most, but when the core of the game is ass, it can't be saved.

Instead of doing the same old "bad guy is controlling a big land that you should escape but you're too much of a badass to do that" They should use their DLC material like Vietnam and turn it into an actual game, no generic villains or power trips, just an honest to god grunt trying to survive and escape.

I didn't like the crafting in 6. In fact, I don't really like crafting in games in general. It involves lots of flipping through menus and the items usually break after a few uses anyways.
4 is the best in terms of story and setting IMO.

They should make it more horror like. Also yeah more over the top villains

Honestly just make a knockoff FPS game of MGS. Random military grunt guy goes in to stop some warlord. Almost all these games are fish out of water types let me play as a trained killing machine. Make the boss battles ridiculous like how they are in the dream sequences. Make a compelling story. No comedy or millennial humor. Play it straight. I will buy it

Gorgeous and comfy map, great soundtrack, some cool characters, but campaign progression is stupid and the way the game forces area boss missions on you is extremely annoying. At least they got rid of having to climb towers to reveal chunks of the map

4 is genuinely one of the best FPS games ever IMO. The story, setting, characters, and gameplay are all fantastic.

I don't give a shit if its the exact same formula as 3, i suspect some of why 6 was so shit was purposefully trying to figure out what to change because autists insist that for some reason entries in a slop series must be different from the previous entry.
Mostly I want a protagonist that has a character journey and "le charismatic villain" can actually work off of.

i could handle new dawn, but far cry 6 story was such a trashfire its insane, not a single likable character, mission aiding a tanny transition, its over. I just want a ok story at this point because more than that its asking too much.

In all the previous games, the cutscenes were in first person. 6 was the first game in which the cutscenes were third person instead. It's a really minor thing, but I think it made a big difference. Hopefully they go back.
