very niche weeb stuff which is why I still have mine

The best version of Disgaea 3 is stuck on that garbage. Also, no not really.

Some. Atleast it had gimmicks

ick

Muramasa rebirth
uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuhhhh

I wished the damn thing didnt suffer from drift

fuck I'm so scared of opening mines to replace the sticks

soul sacrifice delta

The entire library of the PSone and PSP

It’s like the sega Saturn where it only appeals to mega hardcore gamers and weebs

I use that adrenaline shit to use it as a PSP

Soul Sacrifice Delta and Muramasa. That's it. Everything else worth a damn has a port or better version elsewhere.

Now that there's a working emulator, no.

Best fps dungeon crawler on vita?

kill zone
unfarted
oreshko
muramasa
unit 13 (731)
soul sacrifice
velocity

If you like low to mid quality anime games, I guess.

I own Persona 4 Golden and 999/VLR for it. Oh and that garbage ass Silent Hill Book of Memories game.
I own RE1-3, SH1, Dino Crisis 1-2 and Parasite Eve 1-2 on it and they got way more play than any actual Vita games did. (999 and VLR were good though, P4G was very fun but I don't know it's "sink another 80 hours into it" levels of good).

it has about as many games as ps5 does

which are better off being played on an og psp

nta but the psp doesn't have a second analog stick and the screen is ass. still you're better off emulating it than playing on vita, but the vita is definitely better than the psp.

Untold Legends 1 (PSP)

He said FPS crawler
Try out Stranger of Sword City. I remember playing it but I didn't get very far since people say it gets very unfair later on.

soon will be released on switch like patapon and minna no golf

Why is the emulator of this thing so fucking shit and the one of the PSP so awesome?

I think there's no emulator developer that really cares kinda like with the og xbox.

how many ps1 and psp games actually require a a second analog? literally ape escape and uh... ape escape.

the ppsspp creator must be some kind of genius savant because its got to be the most optimized emu of all time

PSP GTAs, PW, MHFU come to mind, also Coded Arms but yeah not a lot

it has hall effect sticks

I’ve tried playing Armored Core on PSP hardware before kek, lost my mind on arena fights

require

that's not the point, you can remap the dpad to the second analog stick and not have to deal with claw grip regardless if the game requires a second analog or not. playing monhun on an actual psp is cancer.

A. No one really cares
B. Its probably hard as shit to make an emulator for it considering is wasn't as blown open as the PSP was
C. No Bloodborne

any cool homebrews to check out? alttp and cavestory are really good on the vita
i tried out hollow knight but it ran like shit

I remember hearing something like PPSSPP had the help of 2 whole internal code leaks or something

Dungeon Travelers 2
Demon Gaze 1 is also pretty good

fun.jpg - 960x544, 314.85K

armored core has second stick mods just for the vita and ppsspp

I still remember when PPSSPP dropped. Seemed like it was out of nowhere. Everyone was fucking bewildered that it was basically perfect right out of the gate. There was barely any solution for PSP emulation beforehand.

BBS

The game is on PC why would you do this tho

why is new emulator for newer system worse than emulator for older system?

PPSSPP has had 12 years to attain the level of polish it's at now

Doubt it, Sony probably would've sued up the ass. That was the whole basis of that whole Bleem thing.

This was years before the collections came out.

i played phantasy star nova

man you ain’t even read my post…

JPCSP was nowhere near as performant but I remember using it and not having many problems

on steam

So...no.

Replacing the battery of my Vita was a nightmare. With PSP and (3)DS easily replaceable batteries was a selling feature

older hardware isnt always easier to emulate. compare n64 emulation to dolphin for example, its drastically worse. or saturn emulation to dreamcast.

Fun fact the sticks themselves are so garbage that their magnetic sensor method doesn't actually provide any durability benefit

Vita was the Nintendo Switch before of Nintendo Switch. Cross-Buy was a great idea

RetroArch
Moonlight
Crossave ports are actually sick
Indies
Arcadey shit
Anime booba

I love my Vita!

Because nobody cares about the Vita, it really is as simple as that.

There's a very similar story where 3DS emulation didn't really take off until Nintendo Switch emulation did because their similar architectures and OSes served as a concurrent springboard. Before that, so many people had a 3DS or 2DS and it was so easy to hack a system, that even for a braindead pirate it was legitimately more worth your time to just buy a 2DS and hack it for piracy if you wanted to play 3DS games. So 3DS emulation sucked until Switch emulation started to garner interest.

That'd be a more relevant point if Vita3K had also been trying for the last 20 years like N64 or Jaguar CD, but it only release threeish years ago I think? As the only decent attempt so far I'm not upset about the state of it, glad Vita emulation exists at all

god bless those emu devs because 3ds games on my smartphone with a controller attachment is amazing and runs smooth as butter in citra. having every single nintendo console and handheld on one device (plus basically every other console Id ever want to play) is a dream the child me couldnt even fantasize being real. its too bad every other aspect of the future turned out to be total shit

have people seriously been trying to hack the jaguar CD for that long? kek. I wonder why n64 is so difficult though, some tech anon please give me a QRD

N64 is a fucking spaghetti nightmare of a console and the person who understands the system the most on the entire planet is that KazeEmanuar sperg who's using his knowledge mostly to put together a Super Mario 64 rom hack

Most of Vita´s catalog are anime VN with lot of text or dungeon crawlers, games of other genres not exist in this console after of 2014

Vita3K is decent in PC, but you need a combo of strong CPU and strong graphic card. The Android edition IS trash, and cant load drivers in Snapdragon devices

The N64 hardware is weird and uses a mix of operating modes to do different shit that nintendo did an extremely poor job of instructing devs on, resulting in games running mostly with 32 bit cpu mode with occasional 64 bit 'micro code'.
Also, there was a docs leak that caused lots of autism and fear of getting DMCA'd, plus an extremely heavy 'first mover advantage' to project 64, a pile of shit, which also bundled in fucking malware at some points.

Not a tech anon but not even Nintendo themselves knows how that fucking this works which is why we don't have an N64 mini and very few Virtual Console releases compared to the consoles before it. If their in-house programmers can't do perfect emulation with access to design sheets, then yeah you know its gonna be bad.

Gravity rush

Citra

the last build of before the repository and website shut down? or Lime or Azahar ?

From my limited research into it years ago, devs basically had to figure shit out themselves on the fly. First party games made by devs who were properly instructed on how to develop for the system got it, which is why emulating shit like SM64 or Ocarina is pretty easy, but third party stuff, especially later era third party stuff just kinda falls apart.

Im using the last build before the shutdown. its worked perfectly for every game Ive thrown at it so far on an s23 ultra.

My favorite on the pisspee was CLONK, even now when i say CLONK too many times i got into an atutistic fit and bash my head into walls from excitement haha CLONK cl CLONK clon CLONK clonk Clonk BLONNK Baaloondjg CLONK naspenk LONK

Shut the fuck up and do your fucking research.

It's like 5 screws, how did you have a problem?

see people saying the vita is a fanastic device once hacked for piracy and emulation

hack mine

title screen of Yoshi's Island on SNES running slowly

This thing is a fucking meme

Get an Analogue Pocket if you want SuperFX on a handheld.

same experience but for psp back in the ancient mid 2000s. my disappointment from immeasurable hype to actually trying to run a SNES game singehandedly turned me off of emulation for decades.

or just use your phone with a buckbone/gamesaar etc

I should've specified good SuperFX emulation. Not only are you playing on a phone, but you're playing an ancient implementation of the GSU ported straight from ZSNES, unless you're running BSNES which will I assume turn your phone supercritical.

lmao get with the times old man. snapdragon 8 runs bsnes without breaking a fucking sweat. absolutely no one with brain cells still uses zsnes in current year. dolphin, pcsx2, yuzu (with turnip drivers) all run great without over heating too, at least on my machine

absolutely no one with brain cells still uses zsnes in current year

Yes, but anything derivative of SNES9X is using the same SuperFX code.

Does it have games that are either exclusive to itself or have the best versions on that console? I've been thinking off and on about buying this, but IDK if it's worth my time as someone who does not own, nor has zero desire to own a PS4.

bought a 32gb memory card back in the day

decide to wipe the dust off my vita

memory card corruption

Get an SD2VITA. They're dirt cheap and infinitely better than those nonfunctional, overpriced, proprietary bullshit.
