I actually like all of the "empty" areas in GTA. The small local towns and open environment is a nice counterpart to the dense and active city. It's fun to explore those areas. Except the deserts.

No idea, i've never been to florida. Given gta 5 had the santa monica pier, there's a good chance that's their version of disney in the gta world. I'm just hoping for more interaction in the world. More buildings to enter, more things to do. I mean san andreas had 8 ball pool, arcade games, weight training. gta 4 had bowling iirc. gta 5 did have tennis and golf but i feel like they could've done so much more.

This. “San Andreas” was just Los Santos on the southern tip where everyone congregated, and then a whole lot of nothing. A couple of Trevor missions in Sandy Shores, and then that little town on the top of the map that was pointless outside the one heist mission.

Fairyland seems to be Disney, which is going to be a goldmine for potential satire, from cringe “Disney Adults” to herds of blacks getting into brawls at Toon Town.

These games are made for console. They physically can't do "so much more". Remember the PS3 literally could't run alpha GTA V above 10 fps, they had to remove tons and tons of shrubbery and trees to make it work.

which is the best part really.
ever since vice city dropped i yearned for detailed rural settings in any open world game coming out at that time.
it's just too comfy to leave the city behind and chill in the sticks.
the biggest problem is the devs tend to forget to add interesting activities to those desolate places.
san andreas was okay with the trucking, but 5 felt a tad bit empty because it lacked those missions.
and rural spaces were rarely populated enough to feel alive, pretty sure they'll alleviate that problem in 6 tho

There'll be RDR2 style fishing so that's that. I genuinely enjoyed going in the wildernis and just fish.

rdr2 hunting is a less funny joke and fishing is comfy

gta6 hunting and fishing should at least make the swamp more fun that rdr2 with quadbikes/fanboats if its not mostly just gators
