Dante in the canon setting, has probably dropped the F bomb like twice, ever, other characters do it all the time, but its not something he does, and he's consistent, along with many other consistencies to the character in the manga, games and the old 2007 anime.

Because unlike DmC which clearly brands itself as a separate thing with its aesthetics the show uses the original games' look as a skin suit, then injects girlboss shit into the story, it's the usual Netshit tactic, they did it to Death Note when they made Misa into the mastermind and Light into a faggot, they did it to Cowboy Bebop when they turned Spike into an old fuck and made Faye hypercompetent and they did it to One Piece when they desexualized Nami and made half the cast into niggers, not even Winx was safe, they took a silly cartoon for little girls about pretty teens with magical powers and cute outfits and turned into Riverdale with buzzwords.

I noticed recently that Donte has been memed so much he's been pretty much mischaracterized for years and people STILL treat it as fact.
Everyone paints him like "DMC if it was written by vivziepop ohmaigawd hes so fucking cool" but he drops his jackassery not even half through the game.
