I never even started. I play single player games only.
I got bored, was gonna stop when they added vanguard but stopped before that. Then they ruined my favorite champion so even less of a chance coming back.

I don't like top down MOBAs. Put Tahm Kench in a game that isn't a top down MOBA and I'll play it.

I realized that for years I had only played it out of boredom and the only Tim ei had fun was when I could get a group of people to hang out with, and that it was just a means to an ends to get friends together.
When I played solo, and even stomped, I was just not having fun. The game had changed too much from what I had liked, and at the point in time I left, most champions I liked were gone, and the game was filled with mechanics and champs I just didn't enjoy playing against.
So I left, and didn't look back.

It seems like their champion reworks recently are to make the champion generic, taking away anything that made them interesting or unique.
My condolences, Viktor went from a cool Dr Doom chad into pure virgin twinkbait. Really, everything involving Arcane has been a tumor on an already shit-infested corpse of a game.
Skarner they just shit on by making him a generic unga bunga stand around and statcheck tank. And they'll never admit they messed up and de-work him because of their hubris.
Arcane Season 1 was fine because it could have served as a more grounded, well-told backstory for all the characters people like.
Arcane Season 2 was where the turbo-AIDS came in and rushed every character into their "champion" version, resulting in dogshit aborted character arcs like Nu-Viktor.
They didn't even change his abilities, so all they did was make him look unappealing to the people who played him for the way he looked, and gave people who dont play him no reason to bother because in their eyes nothing really changed.
How does he look both like an old man and a young boy at the same time?

For the longest time i didn't know Veigar was a yordle because i never bothered to look up any lore and i just assume his design is like the mage from final fantasy.

Its just not fun to be forced to sit in a lost game for 15 minutes
matches too long, snowball too hard, most of the time it felt like I had nothing to do with the engame result, match felt like it was decided on minute 15 yet I had to play at least 30 minutes more
For me it was lack of comeback potential for toplaners, if you got camped by jungle it's pretty much over for you, maybe you'll make some impact in teamfights but until lategame you are useless and your gameplay sucks.

Mained sona for years, got diamond just in time to get those chromas for her victorious skin, ranked rewards came, i got nothing, i waited for a while like "well maybe they dont arrive instantly"
Nothing came, then i contacted riot support about this, 1st guy answers, "oh i will look into this"
Few days go by with no answers, i add a new post in the ticket asking about it, a new guy answers my ticket, "sorry we cant help you"

i haven't played this game in almost 8 years and i didn't even play Viktor but still i feel sick looking at his rework. to me the game now is an instrument of pandering to audience of whatever Riot's next big project is

Vanguard seems way too dodgy even as far as kernel level anticheats go. Didn't help that I don't think I had seen a cheater in over a decade before that point, must be an Asia problem.

There were tons of cheaters prior to vanguard and going by what people say, Vanguard only catches a few of them - the ones too stupid to figure out a way around it. But the fact is there are a lot of ways to cheat that aren't running programs. Boosters and wintraders are so prevalent that when I still played, I want to say a solid 70-80% of high MMR games would have a chink wintrading. Literally more games with them than without, even on NA servers. But Tencent would never lift a single finger to hurt a fellow countryman.
It got stale back in like 2012.
I quit when they stopped doing events like the Gangplank rework and started making every other event into a story retcon making characters flaming homosexuals

Just like every other live service game It's bad. I'm conviced none of them can be good, they do changes for changes sake have no deep philosophy on how the game should look and are more than willing to do shitty fomo tactics just to get players to stay. Always the match making is always rigged in these type of games. League is also a western game only in name, you can see it with the design for so many years at this point.

All the changes year after year just prove that despite everything, it's a UMS game from the 00s at its core. There's only so much makeup you can put on it before it all starts to melt together into an ugly mess.
That's not even to say the core gameplay of an ASSFAGGOT is without merit. But the game is a fucking joke now and despite playing it for over a decade, I look at the current state of league and I'm stuck saying "what the absolute fuck is this?"
I'm no longer part of their target audience so I lost interest. I'm not Chinese.

i played it since end of S1 to like S11 or something when they reworked items
i still played a little bit until 2022 to hit gold in 10 games just to get rewards at the end of the season and that's it
sometime ago i wanted to reinstall but they force you to install chinese spying software so i guess i'll never play it ever again
i should sell my account at this point, it has all champions (or had until 2022) and like 200 skins. i miss old league a lot, S2 and S3 were peak, but i still tune in to watch worlds when im bored
