Not Fun is the closest real answer. Lily is overly simple while not having any real strong tools that isn't cr.hp, which is a stupid strong button. Wind stocks are more hinderance and busy work. Lily also worked a lot off of light chains and the nerf to light scaling didn't help her. The other gameplay with her is 50/50 guesses which is just grappler shenanigans. It is but you're missing out on a huge part of the game if you don't. Before I was actually into fighting games I played MK9 and I played a good bit of it because of all the singleplayer content in it, but I didn't engage with the mechanics of the game at all really. When I first actually sunk my teeth into a fighting game and learned it well enough to play against others it was a totally different experience. Despite having played a good deal of MK9, I don't really feel like I played it because I didn't play it against others which is the real meat of the game. It's the same whenever I go and play some old game just to do the arcade mode or try it in training mode. It can be fun in its own right, but it doesn't compare to actually playing against others. That's where you're made to actually learn the game and it's also where a lot of the game's systems actually work, they're made to be fought against people, not CPU.
I get where anon is coming from but the fact of the matter is that the intense neutral of the game comes at the "cost" of needing to hone in on reactions and reads to a degree uncommon in the other fighting games as well as drilling blocking against certain matchups. Its deceitfully easy but its not.

I got to plat 4 Honda with no struggle by just mashing 5MP (literally no hit confirms, just raw 5MP on block and on hit until I'm out of range), and doing counter DI into punishes or corner stuns
it only started to be less effective around middle of plat 4, but I still run into people that seem like ok players until I whip out the old trick, only one guy actually tried to exploit this with parrying
iirc biggest winstreak I had was 14, made me go from plat 1 to plat 3
