Has TR officially mogged the architecture of vanilla Morrowind? Some of my favorite places in vanilla are Vivec and Balmora. Well TR has Almas Thirr and Bal Foyen which are basically 2.0 versions of the aforementioned.
Bal Foyen is awesome, and I love all the nooks and crannies in Old Ebonheart
which you get confined to for the Thieves Guild finale which is actually a lot of fun, if a little abrupt

That's not exactly fair since mods dont have to worry about performance
level 1 retarded players.

good one anon
I'm getting my ass beat by the camonna tong in balmora. How do I pick them off?
Yeah, I've often thought about the alternate reality where Morrowind was made without having to worry about the OG Xbox port, too. TR's towns look so fucking good...
Any mods that add ranged weapons to guards?
Am I a fraud for using the Dark Brotherhood assassin armor?
anyone try devilish needs? I want to restart my playthrough for it but not sure if it will be too tedious.

Narsis is kino, but I wish it had more of a suburb area surrounding it
Can't wait for Telvannis and Necrom to get reworked
yes, use a mod to delay it
yes but it doesnt matter, so are the gods
Where does the beef come from?
Retarded outlanders fresh off the boat.
The entire river Thirr is so comfy, it has all the best towns and villages along it. It almost makes me want to play a Hlaalu character.
What are you using? Try slamming sujamma or buying a jinkblade, use the staircase and the ramp at the back to funnel them and try not to get caught on geometry while jumping around. The guy at the top of the stairs can safely be taunted into a 1 on 1, he's tied to another quest.
Nah, it just doesn't look very good imo.

get two items in short succession that'll give me 40 to blunt weapons
can't see a way to get them at any point in the game where it would actually be useful to a player
It's neat getting them but like by the time I can clear those areas and quests I have already maxed out two weapon skills and the items are useless if you go above 100 skill
guar
What do they eat?
and we are 23+ more advanced on computers people are using to play this game as well
have 150 enchanting
best I can do is like 10% resist shock on a daedric tower shield
wow so epic
you need 1220 enchanting
Is enchanting a worthwhile skill?
just make a fortify enchanting 100pts for 1 second spell
Move ON!!!
mods are releasing for openmw with no port to vanilla
extremely high quality mods aren't being ported or even copied for openmw
Very sad that openmw took so long to get lua scripting.
blame the MWSE dev for being a dramawhore tranny
yes, to use less charge. it isn't useful to try to enchant things yourself, just pay for it.
Fortifying enchanting by 100pts won't do shit. You need over 1000.
what's the point in paying someone anyways when they won't have 1000 enchanting either
I prefer smaller towns because I like not spending 20 minutes looking for my destination.
because npcs never fail enchanting. Then you just sell them some filled soul gems to make your money back, since after that they're the only NPCs in the game with enough money to pay for them.
nah its pretty shit
Rings and Amulets bro.
daedric tower shield has way more capacity than rings and amulets....
Hear combat music
Just see this retard
The hlaalu banks are kinda pointless considering gold is weightless.
hear combat music in town

SCREEEEE *armor collusion sound*
Anyone have that webm of a scrib getting kicked? I forgot to save it last time.
Enchanting is for machinegunning fireballs and shit. Spells cast from items have no casting animation so they activate as fast as you can click.
There are plenty of mods that rework the skill to make it worth leveling.
anything alteration can do that alchemy can't? should I bother with it?
Enchanting is for machinegunning fireballs and shit. Spells cast from items have no casting animation so they activate as fast as you can click.
That's for faggots.

Be a functional skill while playing the game normally. If you just want to stack fortify int pots that's a different story.

Shut the fuck up.

You need a functioning brain to play Morrowind and this question reveals you don't have one. Go back to Skyrim Special Needs Edition or Oblivion Demastered.
invest
lmao what do you mean, alchemy tools are literally free wtf hahaha
You have to read no matter what and you seem too hispanic for that, so don’t bother
There's about a hundred mods that make combat retard proof and you're one google search away.
The short of it is to play openmw, use the floating hit chance mod for feedback, and use an animation replacer or something.

Yeah, I've often thought about the alternate reality where Morrowind was made without having to worry about the OG Xbox port, too. TR's towns look so fucking good...
morrowind was fine on the xbox 360
Bal Foyen
It is and will always be Andothren
It came out on the xbox anon. That's what it was developed for. Not the 360.
it crashed the xbox on load screens just to be able run with the limited memory
Based. I don't care what lore reasoning they have, Andothren is a sexy name and Bal Foyen sounds retarded in comparson.
but muh balmora and bal fell
Both sound a thousand time nicer.
That's fine man, everybody knows what you're talking about. Still says Andothren on my map now that you mention it.
That was smart. Not like a console player would notice anyway.
TIL it's an ESO town, and not even in the same place! I thought Tamriel Rebuilt was all about pre-Oblivion lore?? What the FUCK is this?
its was fine on the 360 its amazingt how zoomers repeat what they saw on random youtube clickbait as if its gospel truth especially about games and systems they ahve never even played or in some cases even seen
They get to play good games. And mostly have themselves to thank for that.
I like the change personally. There were too many places starting with A and I could never remember which was which. Also Bal Foyen sounds less generic imo
Yes you are a laughable joke and spendt your life using software I wrote. Get this, there was no such thing as a gaming PC in the 90s
the only one talking about the 360 is you
Summon ancestral ghost 2s
Soul trap on target 2s
Absorb health 23 for 1s
Profit
I think there's a mod to revert it already.
I just wonder if the gatekeeping is missing out on an additional layer by not taking the opportunity here.
bullshit.
it existed, it was just synonymous with other uses for PCs.
Stonefalls/TR's Bal Foyen is from Arena. Don't ask me why ESO split it into 2 different places because i don't know.
That's obviously not an ESO town, considering Bal Foyen appears twice in that map. Do ESO devs even try anymore?
Anon, there was an xbox before the 360. That is what Morrowind was developed for and limited by. You retarded illiterate zoomer.
the apple I had 4kb of ram
UH WELL AKSHUALLY I HAVE AN IPHONE AND IT HAS WAY MORE RAM
This is how fucking stupid you are.
You're quite simply wrong.
Did ESO devs ever try?
Is ESO even worth bothering with at all? The Sotha Sil parts looked okay but I don't want to slog through enshittified fan fiction and gamification just to get there.
Good point.
Fills up three soul gems at once
3 for 1 on the price of Golden Saints
It's an MMO so you're going to get the typical skinner box grindfest. Not as predatory as a mobile phone gacha game, but it's still going to try to be your second job.
nta but I enjoyed fallout 1
My bad, Thanks, I guess I can excuse the TR devs, although it's already been established that Arena city names can refer to regions or other notable landmarks over important cities
That's what I figured. Oh well
invest
invest in a trip to caldera mages guild and just take a master set for free dude wtf lol
Who's Veloth again
Moses
why walk when you can ride?
Isn't Veloth the guy that all the Chimer followed into morrowind?
Didn't they literally put the Telvanni Peninsula on the wrong spot on the map? Like, instead of putting it on the obvious place, i.e the northern tip of eastern Morrowind between the Telvanni Isles and the Telvanni Vvardenfell territories, they made it so it's the are around Necrom, which is supposed to be Indoril?
get the Morrowind Code Patch and MGE XE for increased draw distance, Expansion Delay to avoid being murdered at level 1 by infinite assassins, and the mod that removes fatigue drain from sprinting
Can somebody post the kicking webm?
swim to a crescent shaped island south of the seyda neen
get absolutely assraped by billions of skeletons
what the fuck is this because of TR? i don't remember this in vanilla
The island nation of indigenous skeletons was always part of Morrowind lore. It's illegal to visit and anyone who does is killed on sight, which is why no NPCs talk about it.
It's an official DLC (completely shit btw) that has been not long ago redone by the TR team.
Firemoth is vanilla but added in DLC, the DLC is free but not included in the Steam release (it is in GOG version) and has to be downloaded separately, the latest versions of TR adds a reworked version of the DLC by default even if you haven't downloaded it.
It is vanilla, kind of. It's an official plug-in and TR made their own version of it, so if you've never installed the plug-in it might be new for you.
Because your stupid fucking service doesn't go to the town I need to go to you fucking blueberry ancestor fucker.
I had to join the mages guild (queers) just so I don't have to walk.
Is there a face mod that is fully compatible/fully replaces with tamriel rebuilt (not necessarily with the Grasping fortune version)?
Can I get a tldr of this and Project Tamriel? Do they just work on different areas and plan to merge everything eventually?
he fell for the guild racket
Anon, you can just use guild guides without joining their extortionist union, the Versidue-Shaie act protects you fundamental right to magickal travel
Can I get a tldr of this and Project Tamriel?
they're expanding the map of morrowind and adding content
Do they just work on different areas
yes
work on different areas and plan to merge everything eventually?
They're already merged. In the same game you can go to Cyrodiil and mainland morrowind.
First time checking out TR
What cool shit have you found so far?
Do they just work on different areas and plan to merge everything eventually?
Yes and yes. Teams are split by region and act semi-independently, sharing the data between each other to keep consistency with the assets.
tldr
Bethesda sold Morrowind, but there's only Vvardenfell inside. Let's create the rest.
Have been clearing my backlog and will be playing Morrowind soon. What build should I go for?
This dude in southeast Narsis restocks cephalopod helms
has most of the rest of the set as well
Why do bonewalkers sound like a histrionic woman PMSing?
ESO
slop + not canon
vivec sucks it's just the same building copy and pasted 7 times
Why do bonewalkers, which are forged temple servants made in smithies, look like a collection of goop that crawled out of a tomb
TR has been mogging vanilla for a long time, you need overhaul mods to make vanilla compare. I'm pretty sure their plan is to go back over the vanilla content and bring it up to TR standards when the mainland is fully released in 25 years.
what is even the point of these guys?
to metamorphose into a kwama and squeeze out fat juicy eggs as part of a balanced, nutritious dunmer breakfast
25 years
they paralyze you which is cool and restores mana to the stunted mana guys
They teach new players to respect paralysis.
the exquisite shop there restocks ebony arrows
25 years
What a Grand and Intoxicating Innocence
Akshually, they're optimistic enough to believe that it's all gonna be finished in TEN years (after that there's still PT to look forward to don't worry)
no, these little bridges are bullshit and make no sense in andothren
large pillars on big bridge too
I heared the original vision for Vivec was much different, but they had to nerf it for the shitty consoles. It probably was supposed to be like TR's Almas Thirr where there are merchants & bazaars hanging around outside of each of the cantons.
PT?
TR isn't going to touch Vvardenfel because it would break 90% of mods
project tamriel
Project Tamriel is the umbrella group that all the province mods collaborate under and share resources with (Tamriel_Data)
Project Cyrodiil and Skyrim Home of the Nords are the only two with actual content yet.
Almalexia/Mournhold will make it or break it.
I wonder how they will end up tacking the shit plot of the expansion.
Seethe harder morrowtranny
I'm the zoomiest of zoomers.
You are a retarded niggerfaggot.
It's not hard.
I'm pretty sure their plan is to go back over the vanilla content and bring it up to TR standards
doubt
Gotcha, I knew of it but in my brain PT exclusively meant Kojima's Silent Hill thing.
They've added a little bit of stuff here and there, and I know for sure they want to redo most of Tribunal to at least scatter it around Almalexia.
Smaller bugs, algae, mosses, etc
I believe this is true. At the pace they're going, even with >reworks I can see it being done faster than that. They also kicked Eye of Argonia off to PT so they only have Morrowind to do. We already have detailed proposals and some assets for Dres stuff and that's like five versions away.
to be fair there's a big overlap in TR and PT devs, so shifting Argonia to PT isn't that big a deal.
Has Kirkbride dabbled in TR at all or is he gone gone?
Kuckbride just jerks off to his Vivec smut fanfiction
He has no input.
Hopefully he will never touch it and stay as far away from it as possible.
Sounds about right, he always seemed like a step away from going full schizo even back then.
Is it possible to remove an enchantment from an item so I can re-enchant it? Trying to think ahead and not waste weak enchants on a strong item if I can't change it later.
He's been consulted for input from time to time.
How do I play TR without it getting boring once you level up too much? After doing the main story content you literally have no incentive not to just hop around everywhere 1 shotting shit and ignore loot.
His wife used to work on it back in the 2000s i think. Other than that i think the only ex-bethesda writer who ever interacted with TR was Douglas Goodall, who liked the TR devs' sequel to his Khajiit-Bosmer war book well enough to consider it "canon" for the further sequels he would write for one of his recent mods
no
Goodall (AFFA on the nexus) has been making mods if you want some Morrowind dev post-release content.
start a new character or accept that you are a god contained within human flesh.
he works on studio games including occasional bethesda TES stuff i don't think he'd get involved with a mod
Make a different character for each of the factions/guilds
slower leveling and more costly training mods
harder barter mods
It isn't. I made a small MWSE mod a while back that lets you do it.
files.catbox.moe
Drop the item, look at it, and press shift-semicolon.
Only works on custom enchanted items, if the original item was enchanted to begin with it won't work.
I got chameleon 100% like you guys said but it still doesn't let me steal shit bros
Thanks, will do
Dont use alchemy, at all.
After getting good enough at your main weapon and armor, use other type
LadyN was a moderately important TR dev in the 2000s, but afaik that was before she and Kirkbride got together, so he probably didn't have direct influence.
brother he recorded himself singing fly me to the moon lying on his bathroom floor for a shitpost morrowind/evangelion crossover video.
I'm pretty sure their plan is to go back over the vanilla content and bring it up to TR standards
No, they dropped that after someone blew their top over what a retarded fucking idea that was, thank fuck.
It seems like there's a bit of infighting in Bal Foyen's Hlaalu faction. There's a haughty, reclusive, rich dude and an exhibitionist slut plotting against each other. Who should I side with? Leaning towards the rich dude cuz hoes deserve less and I want to see inside his manor.
Doesn't the rich dude resurrect an ancient ashlander lich king in a ploy to bring back his dead wife?
I hate that I can't read Morrowind threads because I'm playing it now for the first time and don't want to see spoilers but by the time I'm done the board will have moved on.
after someone blew their top over what a retarded fucking idea that was
Do you have a link? I'd imagine the main argument is mod compatibility, but it would be fun to see just what was said to shame everyone else into compliance.
I think its in a different storyline. I had it in fighters guild, I am not even in hlaalu
that's funny
You'll see spoilers because the game is older than you are, and we're still on it so unless it's going to take you two decades to play the game I don't think you have to worry.
More importantly spoilers don't matter and you and everyone already know you're Nerevar reincarnated, Vivec killed your past self, etc. You're never going to find even 1% of the content in the game blind so give up.
by the time I'm done the board will have moved on
Just wait till the next TR release, these threads will come back
i had the same problem. spent a lot of time reading archived threads after i beat most of the game
Is beware the sixth house a good mod? I get tired of being OP at end game and would like a few challenging enemies to fight.
The areas look nice, but the content is gay and not worth playing. You download it to walk check out the new areas, go "Cool." and then never come back because it's like being trapped in the backrooms.
trying to get answers by giving a purposefully wrong answer
Clever but I won't fall for it.
run out of MG quests on Vvardenfell
first TR MG quest I grab; collect some generic TR ingredients
no real instructions given, just "check alchemists lol"
find two out of three kinds of ingredients easy enough in same town, just need to find two eggs
not kwama eggs, a kind of egg added by TR, I forget what they were called
after going through every shopkeeper that might possibly be relevant - temples, innkeepers, general shopkeepers etc. in addition to the straight up alchemists - in the entire guild gate subnetwork I've managed to find but a single egg
wander around in the wilderness for a bit. I only know the eggs drop from "an insect". I don't know what they look like or where they're found. No luck
cave in and check wiki, it only gives me a location I can steal the remaining egg from. At this point I take it
The later quests weren't as bad but as an introduction to TR quests it was down right awful. When Ajira told me to gather some mushrooms and flowers she had the courtesy of telling me where to look for them.
No one really talks about the story besides dagoth at the end. Even then it's not too much. Tribunal is where you can be spoiled
My ass~
same with EEC ebony mine quest
use ore samples on the probe device
just find adamantium and gold ore somewhere
it doesn't work that way in morrowind
Well how does it work
no real instructions given, just "check alchemists lol"
You stupid retard, every single ingredient she asked for opened a new argument where you could learn where to look in the wild.
Not that there's any need since the redguard alchemist has the herbs, the alchemists have the gem and the taverns have the eggs.
I have never once heard someone mention an actual piece of fun content they experienced in TR. Not in any context. Just screenshots taken from the sky as if I'm going to think Morrowind geometry is impressive.
Tamriel Rebuilt is an existential nightmare. So many people wasting their lives on something that's not only never coming out, but it's not even good.
After a certain point if someone hands me a "get five random mundane items" fetch quest I just console it in. Because there are SO MANY of these fucking quests. I can't believe these people were complaining about how boring skyrim quests are when even the most standard boring misc quests in skyrim is morrowind at it's highest point (finally getting to go kill things in an actual dungeon)
never coming out
It just did. It's constantly coming out
noooo it's not the whole entirety of tamriel yet
So? You don't enjoy morrowind at all, why would you enjoy more of it?
Retard.
never coming out
retard, you just outed yourself as a low effort troll who doesn't even know what he's talking about lol
It just did. It's constantly coming out
Pfft. Yeah, okay. This beta test bullshit is a """release"""
Are you on the team, or what? I feel like you're talking shit about your own work trying to convince me it's worth a shit. You actually think this is GOOD?
This bot needs to be reprogrammed. Skyrim bad. Skyrim BAD!
I talk about the neat shit I've experienced and the cool quests all the time.
You stupid retard, every single ingredient she asked for opened a new argument where you could learn where to look in the wild.
You think I didn't talk through all that? "In the mainland" Real helpful. And no. Tavernkeepers in Old Ebonheart or any of the other cities I went to did not have these eggs for sale. I checked.
What, they literally tell you every single source
There's one on the bank of a pond south of Old Ebonheart. There is an entire worldspace, go look.
Yes, I think it's good. It's better than the base game. Which again, you don't like. That's why you're mad-you don't like Morrowind and other people do.
I should make a blink ring and just spam it for travel
But everybody in these threads talks about the actual quests all the time? Maybe you should try actually reading posts instead of expecting a torrent of screenshots or whatever else you think should exist?
The Old Ebonheart mages guild quest to get through the hidden space
I'm low level and have no good combat spells
Have to be creative with my magic to bullshit past monsters too powerful for me and the traps
This was a cool quest.
See Alchemists or other shopkeepers ("publican" is not a term I'm familiar with) did not have them in stock.
Well it sure would've been nice if I'd been directed to said pond as wandering the wilderness randomly was fruitless.
Oh fuck that is a great idea, here I was just casting it and wondering if I should make a mod that makes speed effect casting speed, like Warframe.
i was in your situation earlier in the week, the issue is early game here are some basic tips:
consider most skills below 50 to be entirely useless, doubly so for melee skills, so you want to pick a weapon type and make it a major skill and stick with it so you can get your weapon skill as close to 50+ as soon as possible
don't do *anything* with low stamina
trainers let you train using them as much as you want if you can afford it for a reason, it is pretty damn hard to level up destruction from level 5 to level 6 if you only have skills with a 0% chance to cast, pay the trainer or make a shitty skill specifically so you can cast it, also stamina effects your chance to cast as well.
reading only works 95% of the time, until you get used to things keep a wiki openn, i'd say once you get past the Dwemer Puzzle Box quest you can do it on your own as that quest in particular feels like the developer is pulling a prank on the player.
early game is pretty ass because of the above things, once you get over the hump, get your skills up, ect it becomes far more pleasant.

Bro ornadas are more abundant than fucking scribs in the mainland
Also during the dialogue she strictly specifies which towns might have the exact items you're looking for if you can't find em yourself
cheat mods
I'm more baffled why you hate this game and mod but insist on hanging out here on to announce how angry people enjoying it makes you.
We're not going to stop just because you won't stop sobbing.
The explanation is here
Which one, the boots? That's for the non-boomer (zoomer).
The loot ones are necessary for them, they need the dopamine hits, anon lmao.
Bro ornadas are more abundant than fucking scribs in the mainland
I've yet to see one.
Also during the dialogue she strictly specifies which towns might have the exact items you're looking for if you can't find em yourself
She did not
You're absolutely fucking lying at this point
I'm assuming it's that gay romanian guy again, getting turbo butthurt that people are enjoying his own personal white whale.
I won't defend that one mages guild quest, but I really do believe most quests are fun in tr.
Bottom of the barrel like lmao just go to that cave and kill the dude or find these random 3 ingredients are minority.
Context behind quests makes them fun, you do need to read to appreciate them
she tells you where to find the flowers or something but this is genuinely all that she says about the eggs. I don't know why you are getting so heated over a single poorly implemented fetch quest.
What's my boi Leoric doing in Morrowind? Is there some sort of Diablo mod I'm unaware of?
You are the one who is lying picrel and the earlier screenshot is all she said regarding the eggs. If you want to refute that provide evidence.
It's Caldera Priory.
This guy's dungeons (Seelof I think?) are generally good, but there's definitely a sort of edgy early Morrowind era feeling to them, just without any of the badly made shit. It's that level of early 2000s silly filtered through the lens of a good level designer and detailer.
Like I'm pretty sure Dagoth Ur's corprus doesn't end up as giant mountain-sized piles of pulsating moaning flesh, but he went the extra mile and had them rigged and animated so I don't mind.
Shit and ashes
i just stick the gather quests in my back pocket and do other stuff until the materials crop up
finished that one quest for twenty of the two types of flowers by stumbling into a valley full of them while doing fighter's guild stuff
What is the longest questline added by TR
Damn, sounds like the crazy over the top shit a lot of the writers originally wanted for the game. Pretty dope
I like Morrowind, I'm just completely stupified by why you retards hop up and down in excitement for this dogshit mod.
Like, look at this OH WOW SO FUN!
It's literally sub-MMO sloppa. Radiant quests are unironically superior. Yet you fags dance and hoot about how great it is.
I get that we're going to have differences of opinion, but I unironically just think you guys are happy with literally fucking anything. Have some self-respect, goddamn.
I think I found them by the docks or whatever. No alchemists sold them, it was some guy in a pub or that only sold food items. That's what 'publicans' are, these types sell eggs/bread/restore fatigue shit. Usually if something gets mentioned in a quest that seems out of place you can tell that's what is intended
Badly built characters
Level 1 outlanders fresh off the boat with 15 in all their weapon skills.
I'm hoping he'll let me us it for the disgusting shit I wanna do for the next SSE update.
wtf I love morrowind
no I hate fetch quests and reading!
you don't like Morrowind.
The Argonian running a "Pantry"? He didn't have them either. If there was a shopkeeper actually in the docks then I missed their whole existence.
Vanilla would have you do 3 quests like that just to get anything to actually do. Even old Ebonheart the very next quest is interesting and only gets better from there.
Did that quest yesterday, one of these flowers were available to pick in the same town, nobody cared if you picked them.
It still was lame quest
No, the gameplay is even worse than Morrowind, the aesthetic is a mix between Pixar and Skyrim Vanilla and the zones are boring except for some glaring exceptions like the Sotha Sil DLC
The very next quest is fetching generic booze (which is a lot easier to find).
Is that not the same one?
Is this autist going to complain and spread lies about every TR questline being fetch quests in every morrowind thread or what, he used to just complain about the OE mages guild but now he won't shut the fuck up about anything.
Why is there a retard bitching about those weird bug eggs or whatever? That was the first new creature I saw after water walking from ebon heart to the mainland
Because he's stupid.
No, they're separate.
Making different characters and roleplaying instead of doing a one for all
Again, having a tantrum on these threads isn't going to stop people playing this. We get it, you're an autist who is so desperate to feel superior to others you'll come to these threads to stick you nose up in the air and act like some uppity jaded teenager. I'm sure you feel cool as fuck doing it and not like a pathetic crybaby.
Her drinking it immediately and talking nonsense was funny
It was always Bal Foyen ("Stonefalls") until they changed it to Andothren for some reason. They just changed it back for consistency.
Click the blue text titled "Ornada Eggs" and you get more info
Fuck me, Ald Ruhn is miles away from where it was in Morrowind.
What is Eagle Moor in TR? Roa Dyr? Almas Thirr?
Because it had me running around for hours on a wild goose chase.
Which leads to as already stated several times. No more information is given. If you claim otherwise, post a screenshot of your own to back it up.
No more information is given.
How is "check the local alchemists and taverns" not enough to find these eggs? Are you stupid?
Because the local alchemists and taverns did not have them.
Are you too stupid to read the reply chain you are responding to
I definitely remember getting some kind of guidance on where to go, perhaps it was via dialogue rather than quest text. I think they're sold in the non-Imperial towns outside the city.
Well, that's Arena.
This would be more "recent", from before they finally decided to cult the mainland and cram everything they could on Vvardenfell.
Just run along the coastlines until you see a bug, fucking hell, it's not that hard
I did run along the coastline as well as inland for a while an saw some bugs but no ornada. Nowhere was it mentioned that along the coast is where I should look either.
hlaalu has no territory
Huh?
I wish the TR devs would touch up the Telvanni lands a bit. There really isn't very much to do over there, in what should be arguably one of the most interesting places on Nirn.
i'm not on that guys quest but i looked up what an ornada is and i'm pretty sure i've never seen one either and i've been playing for most of the week.
Gonna take a wild guess and assume that the map is not supposed to look like this going south through the mainland
I waterwalked directly south from Ebonheart straight to the mainland and immediately saw one on the shore, and there were others in either direction as well.
they are working on redoing telvanni albeit slowly as a side thing to the main content
you got a really old version of TR, what the fuck
that orc who thinks vivec is the coolest and wants to be a member of the temple
Soulful quest. I encouraged him to go on the pilgrimage of 7 graces even though the temple master wanted me to get him to go back to worshiping malacath
Man it's really easy to outrun the cells loading with the blink ring
But I just updated to the newest release, replaced all my old files.
Well good for you then. I got to the mainland by divine intervention and have not seen any. I walked from Bal Foyen to Old Ebonheart along the coast and didn't happen to come across any. Again, at no point was any indication given that along the coast is where I should look.
Yeah not sure why that guy is defending fetch quests so hard, even if you know exactly where to go it's still fucking annoying. I've played through most of the new faction content in the latest TR release and I constantly have issues with quest clarity. "Hey, go talk to this dude in Measurehall or this massive temple complex. Yes, that means go up to 50+ npcs and hover over each of their names in separate sections of the building until you find the right dude xDDD". Don't get me wrong, most quests are have pretty good journal entries, but the ones that don't are infuriating.
fog of war is a boomer idea I agree with its cool seeing exactly where ive been and encourages me to explore more than any other mechanic I have seen
I installed the slow leveling mod and am still level 2 after hours of questing.
If you actually did what I did, then you'd have found them by now. Why are you still posting otherwise? They're literally right fucking there.
die hard morrowind players love to hate on the compass but quests like these are exactly why it become a thing.
Such is the nature of the enchanter.
No, it becomes a thing because they want more players and more money.
Does Maxwell play the song?
m.youtube.com
I found the eggs that retard was whining about. Literally just check shops in town. Holy fuck, how can you be this stupid. 32 of them right here. Literally never done this quest. Still haven't.
As I said in my first post, it's not longer as issue since I ultimately caved and checked the wiki. As for why I didn't do it initially I had no idea that that's what I was supposed to do.
responding to low effort b8 posts about the OE mages guild again
You guys could just talk about anything else, but keep being retarded faggots I guess
Reichs Parkeep my beloved
Like half of my meals are eggs. I think I'm spiritually a Dunmer.
there is that too, however i'm sure old Bethesda wasn't completely deaf to complaints they heard about Morrowind and decided to implement the compass system for sequels, like how the combat was changed where your skill significantly impacts your damage vs your hit chance.
Your map must be busted somehow.
poison
cure poison
huh?
Ah, fair enough, I guess. Though when I read the quest text that said "check the local alchemists" I immediately thought of the general region in the mainland, not just the city, so I checked surrounded towns as well. Iirc, the alchemist i got an amethyst from also had a couple eggs.
makes sense to me, anti-venom is made using venom.
What are you on about, schizo? Fyi, I'm the original OE seether and I've been on my best behavior for the last few threads. I still maintain that the OE guild questlines are extremely half assed. Thankfully I've finally hit my stride and am having fun with Hlaalu content to the east of that hellhole.
what the fuck that's amazing
Meant to say west. Fuck.
It is pretty cool
We could re-run the "how should Dres be handled" or "what REALLY happened at Red Mountain" or "are you REALLY Nerevar" or "OpenMW or MSWE" discussions if you'd prefer
fog of war is a boomer idea
what lmao
cute!
My game doesn't look ths crisp in game, the hell
Show me your shaders pls
I don't know what to tell you. She had and still has none for me.
I would prefer Lost Causers seething about slaves over explaining to the 500th zoomie that he should just play the fucking game instead of shitting and pissing about his "time not being respected"
of course to match the guy who can't stand any discussion on morrowind we have the guy who loves it so much he refuses to accept that amelphia tarramon would dare forget to point the PC to the local egg farm in her initial mage's guild boring ass fetch quest
skill issue
IIRC she specifies the items likely can't be found in OE but you can find them sold on most towns including two neighboring towns with apothecaries
You call spawning shit with console commands a skill?
It's just MWSE with the default shaders.
Which factions have some cool medium armor in TR, be it rewards or shit to steal
well I find it in OE, it's literally right down the street from the mages guild.
In order to do that you'd need to be literate, so it's a problem that stems from the same source.
My map is broken in the same way and I have no idea how to fix it either lol
Get Wrye Mash, go to the save tab, right click, and use the update map function. Sadly it'll wipe out where you've been on the map.
If you're looking for food items and can't find them in any shops go into the backrooms and kitchens of houses/manors/taverns, there should be crates full of food and other stuff. Apply this thinking to future quests, and consider who the quest giver is. In this case, she's a drunk, spoiled retard sending you to get her groceries.
i dunno check the corner store
Is part of the characterization.
Are you using UI Expansion and if so did you check "map extension" in the MCM?
When is the closest Project Tamriel release and what is it, brothers?
I'll do that, thanks
no I did not
nigger we just had a big release recently
Markarth (Side?)
and sometime this year maybe
And no. Tavernkeepers in Old Ebonheart or any of the other cities I went to did not have these eggs for sale. I checked.
Pic related is the first inn I checked in Old Ebonheart. I don't think Morrowind is the game for you.
Grasping Fortune and Anvil just released
Markarth is coming in 2025 at some point probably
Finish underspace you fuck
Traveller Boots Speed without the Blind
not him but thanks anon.
I did find the boots of blinding speed and craft a resist magic 100% 1 sec spell, but I kept failing to cast it over and over.
Fuck those boots. I'ma cheat.
Markath
At some point within the next year
Is Anvil high level content or can I find things to do around level 5? And is there an EEC branch?
I did check her and all the other innkeepers. She did not have them.
Working on the housing update even as I type this.
Anvil's pretty low level content, most of PT is balanced like the vanilla game. I think the highest level stuff I found was the dreugh city out in the trenches, but dreugh dungeons are always meant to be high level anyway.
its midgame stuff, there's quite a few tough enemies in dungeons
Sure thing lad
What armor is the middle?
Nta but I had the same experience. Found like 40 of them in the basement of Sarano(?) Manor next to the fighters guild though. Got some sneak levels in too
Don't ask where I got it. I can't remember.
I didn't see any either when I checked why are you so obsessed about this?
Vanilla MW has several quests that just tell you to check bookstores, typically a bookseller that doesn't have the book you're looking for in stock will tell you who might.
Note how her overall stock is different in the images and the number of eggs changes as well. I must've gotten an rng where she had none.
Dude, we all know you're just lying at this point. Why even bother? Literally nobody else has the problem you claim to have had.
There are yellow cities. I guess the trader boys were meant to be exclusively burghers.
Yes, yes (you) are.
I understand why they are like this (because they're underwater) but I absolutely hate how fucking dark and murky all the dreugh dungeons are
imagine when the dres lands finally come out and you can participate in gladiatorial matches to the death against these motherfuckers
modding-openmw.com
auto install this or only use openmw
Daedric ruin near the edge of the map north of the Septim Gate to Cyrodiil / far west of Narsis iirc
A LOT of good shit in that dungeon
Light spells and night eye spells. I like that they require you to have a lot of prepared shit going on in.
Still find them too hard to see even with 60pts of Night Eye
I went insane one night trying to find a couple corpses in one for a quest from Aud Iuval. Must have spent like 2 hours combing through before I found the last one I missed
That sounds about right. I was concerned about getting it mixed up with the golden saint armour you get there. Speaking of, I do wonder if the other pieces of that set are somewhere else in the Narsis update.
Light's more helpful in my experience with the crabs, but both of them together is even better.
Haven't seen any other pieces of it yet, but there's still a lot of unexplored areas in my map.
I need to test out the Wabbajack from that dungeon as well
Are you supposed to have a new world map when you sail to karthwasten or anvil?
are there ayleid ruins in Grasping Fortune?
Yes, near the border with Cyrodiil
Can we tell how big the vvardenfell we got is compared to this whole map?
"how should Dres be handled"
The current 'gentlemanly' characterization that they have in a google doc looks very solid.
"what REALLY happened at Red Mountain"
A lot of things overlapping, divine myth overlapping the actions of mortals. None can know fully, least of all Dagoth or the Tribunal who were there as witness.
"are you REALLY Nerevar"
Maybe not when you get off the boat, but you are by the time you meet Dagoth Ur by a process of mantling if nothing else.
"OpenMW or MSWE"
OpenMW. The future is bright.
"what REALLY happened at Red Mountain"
The chimer army drank a lot of sujamma and threw red mountain at the nords.
I hope they go with the Dres rework in this (and the other two) post
tamriel-rebuilt.org
What the fuck am I supposed to do with this frying pan, I'm getting no options when I activate it
Probably a longshot but maybe I just put food on it, that would be neat
mfw food starts cooking simply by placing it on the frying pan
mfw stews warm back up while placed on top of it
Ashfall is so rad, goodbye forever OpenMW.
Are one handed weapons worth using if I'm not taking block and using shields?
why the hell morrowind have an unique fauna?
can we rehash whether its alright for new players to use Boots of Blinding Speed in their first play through if they're annoyed at how slow they run at the start
I like how OpenMW works but I need more lua support before i dedicate myself to it.
lots of ash
very harsh climate
If they find it organically then sure
If they follow a guide that tells them to go grab it immediately then that's cringe
Yeah this nigga resonable
i hate survivalcraft slop so cant relate
first playthough
Had heard of the boots but never found them
slowly levelled my speed over the course of my playthrough til it reached 100
decide to try out the boots in second playthrough much later
mfw my level 1 character with these boots runs almost twice as fast as my first character who had maxed out speed
Works with stoves and teapots/cooking pots too, gives a nice little steam animation when they're fully heated. Coming back to a semi permanent camp or down in my hold to relight the fire and throw stew on while I sort loot is absolute kino. If youre using perfect placement you can just drag it over the heat source
i'm using a shield with abysmal block skill and still find it doable, one handed weapons especially daggers attack far faster than larger weapons, more dice rolls to get your damage in and i've stun locked some enemies who when i looked them up were 4x my level.
I worded my post weirdly but I meant to say that I don't want to use shields at all.
Attack speed is a good bonus yeah. I suppose it would help apply enchants faster too.
it looks.... not so bad
yeah, that is what i mean, my shield skill is ass so i might as well not have a shield.
i tend to use conjuration so i use Bound Dagger and Bound Longbow for the majority of my time so far.
When is Telvannis being reworked?
That region is so shit
Shields can still hold fat constant effect enchants and increase armor, and it's not like you're doing anything else with that hand anyway
They don't eat.
They don't sleep.
still can't walk to mournhold on foot
I'm disappointed
Anything specific that's missing that you'd like?
They do nothing but think of you
they do nothing but think of youuuuuuu
You will be able to in 20 years
Who the fuck would like Vivec as his favorite place... all domes look the fucking same, if you like repetitiveness then good for you I guess... autists gonna autism.
Whats with all the Morrowind threads lately?
Basically all my MWSE mods that I made, Mantle of Ascension (though I wouldn't be opposed to better alternatives), Enhanced Detection, Pickpocket, and Stealth Improved. Also I have no idea if TR's new spells work in OpenMW.
I meant like lua scripting features.
Skyrim 2 just got announced
I will never make a heavily armored character again being able jump around like kamen rider is too good.
Medium or Light Armor?
i looked it up, short blade is typically not considered ideal but has a nice quirk to stagger-lock enemies due to how fast it attacks, and by extension if you have an on-hit effect you can lay it on fast.
i've been using short blades this whole time without issue, i just supplement things with bow occasionally.
new Tamriel Rebuilt update came out two weeks ago
Going with medium on this character because I like bonemold armor.
I did it on the preview years ago.
You're not missing anything.
Shit dude, I don't know which lua functions are in OpenMW and which are missing. It'd probably be too many to name.
I see.
Ajira is such a pal. Always willing to shoot me 900g for whatever potion trash I'm carting around.
medium armor is a lot easier to find unless you wanna wear bug parts for majority of the early game or until a dark brotherhood assassin takes interest in you.
though personally the only good constant effect pieces i've found so far have all been heavy or rings.
reminder there was not a dragon break at Red Mountain. open your eyes
the rogue reanimation mod still hasn't been ported to mwse after 2 years
Is it too much to ask for better animations.
are the project tamriel and beyond skyrim people the only ones on earth making decent beast race art that isn't coomshit or memeshit?
It's nice but it doesn't add locomotion or better swinging animations.
MWSE has waaaaay better atmospheric modsand mods in generalbut for some reason the one animation improvement mod said "lol, nah"
I like the rose bush pants
be simple monk
get attacked by assassin I exotic gear
sell it and go the the imperial cult
could you go and collect donations from the skyrim mission
nords mostly tell me to fuck off
good news, I DOUBLED THE TARGET!
hand over the money I got from my would be killer's gear
hey could you go collect donations from the argonian mission
the give me a donation, but grumble about slavery like the imperial cult is somehow in a position to dispute the tribunal in morrowind
good news, I'VE DOUBLED THE TARGET
This is literally how the Punisher reverse launders money lmao, you should go on a avenging angel arc
heavy armor and being slow is annoying me
try light armor/medium armor with a spear build
mfw its way better, faster, and i do tons of dps
no wonder everyone says use Spear and it was taken out after Morrowind. Its fucking busted.
The old poke and weave.
signs flap in the wind and rain in Balmora
is this openmw or normal part of the game? i never noticed this
normal
join mage's guild
fetch all this shit faggot
help out a guy with a painting
painter gives me a list of shit to fetch
join the chapel
get me 5 scrap metal good luck since none of the shops sell them lmao
Fuck this I'm joining the fighter's guild, their quests are always straight forward
lmao guess what, get a SPECIFIC potion, good luck going through all the shops in the city
Tamriel Rebuilt fucking sucks
Morrowind is the only TES game where I feel incentivized to create multiple characters with different skillsets so I can engage with different content on each one instead of just doing everything on a single character like a schizo mary sue.
That?
Pure Todd.
he thinks it was taken out for balancing
lol
l m a o
is that frog guy something from the lore
It's genius ludo-narrative design to get the player to engage with the town and get more quests
join bitch factions
be a bitch
sucks to suck
join the temple
partake in a full on pilgrimage
retrieve artifacts
rescue pilgrims
defeat gigachad level vampires
root out corruption in the temple
basically, you're an n'wah
join imperial cult
solve problems
convert heathens
collect artifacts
slay champions of the tribunal temple
praise the nine
Does OpenMW 0.49.0 dev build have any significant advantage over 0.48.0 stable?
How the fuck do you get quests from them?
I've joined but no one gives quests
get me 5 scrap metal good luck since none of the shops sell them
You get like 20 per dwemer ruin, even low level ones
Talk to the main priest in each temple and ask about 'errands'
Yeah, one of the four argonian subspecies mentioned in the Argonian Account series of in-game books
As they slid through the water, Shehs explained to Scotti that the Agacephs were one of the many Argonian tribes that lived in the interior of the province, near the Hist, finding little in the outside world worth seeing. He was fortunate to have been found by them. The Nagas, the toad-like Paatru, and the winged Sarpa would have killed him on the spot.
All four are planned to be in PT/TR one day, one (the Naga) are already being worked on (see )
Many mods work for it that don't work for .48
Prime slave material right there!
I'm not really using mods though.
what's the news on Skywind
One handed weapons are a lot faster, so they synergize well with enchantments
fair
why the fuck would that matter when comparing them just to evaluate aesthetics? is your ego associated with the original morrowind or something?
Such as?
it's a portfolio project that will never see the light of day
No, only the foragers are ever hostile. Scribs never attack first in vanilla Morrowind.
lua stuff
Why did everyone get filtered by eggs?
there's no arrow how was I supposed to know
You don't need a single mod to play Morrowind blind, but get performance fixes or just run it in OpenMW to make it more compatible with modern systems. Use your intellect, if you have any, and you will enjoy the game.
Kwama eggs.
I'm trying to get rid of my money in charitable ways but there isn't enough, I might make a charitable donations mod.
In the base game you have to go to the shrine in ebonheart. There's three dudes that give you different kinds of job and then the oracle sends you to retrieve list artefacts (which you can keep) after you've done enough.
You should mod the game to delay expansion just to fix the rumor dialog. all those bread crumbs leading to secret loot/quests all so you can get
MUH NEPHEW GOT RECRUITED TO FORT IN DLC LAND LOL
from every npc in the game instead. idk why bethesda seems incapable of thinking through design decisions like this
Who the fuck installs the Bethesda plugins?
Tribunal and Bloodmoon dialogue stops like the first time you ask about them.
but they're kwama themselves
TR worth playing rn or wait for more updates?
Definitely worth playing.
Drip or drown Anon Babble, show me your Sundas best
And no not just your armor, show me some fancy clothes
I don't think I've ever used a propylon index.
God damn, what's with so many great openmw mods getting released lately
May Modathon
i'm actually doing my first run of unarmored mage.
We're watching yous cum.
Found this at jobasha's. Man what a classic.
what the fuck man don't watch me cum
i just collect all of them in one go for the master index. doesn't take too long
I just don't even see the point, it's faster and easier to just fly exactly where I want to go
'mirin that hat.
where 2 cop?
I've been exploring TR for days and I haven't even seen the big cities like Narcis, Necrom or the Telvanni isles, let alone Skyrim or that Cyrodiil DLC.
The Firemoth rework was kinda mid, desu.
My body as i am paralysed forever.
i didn't like the fuckin time gating
wait a week for the next part of your mission
no!
Morrowind NPCs are so forthcoming. You ask 'background?' and they're like 'oh yeah I'm poor. I'm a pauper', 'I'm a commoner, so I do NPC stuff around town' or 'I'm a barbarian, I run out into the woods and eat bugs'.
I love that interaction where someone says "yeah everyone has been having those weird nightmares. Everyone is up all hours, wandering the streets in the dark, shops open all night. Everyone's going a little crazy".
I just started TR for the first time and got to Balmora, gonna try and make enough money to comfortably explore the mainland, you really can make it a good bit into Black Marsh, huh? Seems cool.
thank you dagoth ur for letting me go shopping at 2 AM
you are a true friend
We stay swagged out in these streets
shoes match the cuffs match the hat
pristine PANTALOONS
Clean as hell dude
on my way home
some absolute psychopath walks up to me and starts talking
I just want to go buy some eggs and go home I'm hungry, but now I have to answer this asshole's questions
holy shit he's an n'wah, and is covered from head to toe in ash and mud, probably diseased too
for some reason literally can't step away or do anything but respond to his questions
is this s'wit a wizard or some shit
after he asks me about random crap like where I work and what I think about Nords he just stands there
still can't leave
can't even speak
literally rooted in place
it feels like time has stopped, but I can feel that nothing has happened
for hours, until finally it ends
"oh shit I tabbed out to read the wiki and got distracted by a gacha loli thread, uh anyway heard any rumors?"
tell the n'wah about some smugglers I've heard about nearby
finally he releases me from the spell and goes away
I'm an assassin, I murder people and stuff.
performance limitation certainly played a part
This n'wah is flyer than a cliff racer sheesh.
I'm an acrobat. I make my money dancing and doing tricks for people, but between you and me, I also jump into people's windows and steal their shit when they're not looking (25/100)
Craven men whine that we steal their vital essences to feed our dark purposes. But men are fools and cowards. Only women can understand the secrets of the ghost snake and its hidden mysteries that make men tremble like maidens.
Ok lady erm can you tell me which way to the nearest silt strider?
>Solstheim
A terrible place, I've heard. There's a boat from Khuul, if you have any reason to go.
Marigbash women make my toes curl
Honestly, if you ripped the tops off of the cantons so the buildings were exposed vivec wouldn't look too different from that.
Because they know their way around a snake?
Yes
if an ashlander woman with around 5 or 6 face piercings wants my vital essences I WILL provide them
The actual exploit with enchanting and alchemy is creating a recursive looping of fortifying skills to gain absurdly stupid stats to make the gamebreaking gears.
The KEY point is to SET THE POTION DURATION basically minimum and make liberal usage of pause to
wandering in the ash wastes
a witch paralyses you and drains your essence with her ghost snake
GIWTWM
what's a good enchanting overhaul?
Anybody have that comic with Kirkbride deciding on schizo dream to firebomb Emil?
Your enchanting scales off your intelligence.
Of course, you can create an enchantment to make yourself better at enchanting. And then use that enchantment to make yourself better at enchanting.
It's always funny how when you ask them their background they're all secretive "what I do is my own affair" but if you then say "Yes OK but tell me about your trade" they just spill the beans "oh yeah I'm an assassin I kill people for money"
Correct me if I'm wrong but boosting your enchantment won't let you make better enchantments right? So why bother? Just pay for it.
Dunmer just consider the personal and professional divide differently to us, man. They're happy to talk shop but don't ask them about their childhood.
report to caius
he sends me to the fighters guild who sends me to a dwarven ruin
cross bridge to ruin
caius runs at me and kills me with spells
why ;_;
That wasn't caius. That isn't what happened. You are delusional. You didn't steal any of caius' sugar did you?
Okay for real guys how do I train my shit at a low level? Or should I just figure out how to levitate and stay out of reach if I've gone all mage w/ spear as major skills
you go to a skill trainer and pay them money
You can literally just stand around and cast your spells at nothing to train them
Pay someone to make you a swift swim for 1 point on self for 1 second spell or some shit if you can't afford training.
Oh. So is it silly to just shoot spells and take naps during my refractory period all month? I like the RP
Then go to a trainer and buy some skill ups
money is the easiest part of the entire game. you paid constantly through quests and loot. if your character is still too smoothbrained to do any early game quests, just loot every barrel/crate/etc in all the major towns. youll be rolling in expensive enchanted items and alchemy ingredients. then just sell whatever you dont need to keep and spend it on trainers.
idk dude are you in your training arc
this stuff i think anon
Its literally what Molag Mar looks like; the canton has a top plaza and it's pretty neat.
Really, Vivec should have been more compact, open-topped, and had shit going on outside of interior cells. It's the biggest city on the island, a major pilgrim spot, and right next to the imperial centre of government, so it should feel like you're in a bustling urban centre
Honestly wish I could find some good mods for late game money sinks, but nothing really speaks to me.
I've only just started so I think I will probably spend a month in balmora shooting fireballs into the sky and sleeping in caius' bed
trainwiz what's a good enchanting overhaul
I'll let you know when I find one, because I've been looking for it too.
The one you make yourself you lazy bitch ass nigga.
Is that a fucking dog? God chinks will fucking eat anything that moves.
I'll make a mod that lets you use money to support the arts and patronise libraries and colleges and get wings named after you
You can do that, or you can go looking for shit to sell to speed up your training. There's a fancy ebony sword in one of the Balmora Guard towers, on top of a clothes cabinet, called Blade of the White Woe. It can be sold for quite a profit.
you wouldnt, n'wah?
God that'd be a fun addon to the Joy of Painting.
Ignore the angry gatekeepers and take anon's advice. Most of them are just jaded because skybabies are egregious slopdefenders. Do what you can to modify the game to your tastes after at least 1 hr of near(bugfix) vanilla play then install whatever mods accordingly.
In morrowind your ass eats what you can find
Should be a mod that lets you rebuild a daedric ruin dedicated to Azura after casting down the false gods of the tribunal
That'd be a good end game money sink
Nah I'll make a mod where you have to pay taxes.
That would be dope as fuck, tie it in with the painting mod
museum/college of arts that you can donate money or artwork to
depending on your skill/value of painting donated paintings may or may not be displayed
other slots are filled with rotating files from Tamriel_Data
if you donate enough money to the museum they give you a plaque and a preferential spot for you paintings
that's theft
I probably won't so feel free to steal it.
Coreans do it too. They have a specific breed that exists solely for consumption.
And what are you going to do about it? Become the nerevarine and unite the clans under moon and star? HA!
Sure think Mr. Gilnith, easy way or the hard way?
pay to get the mystery play staged in old ebonheart
donate to support academic research (it makes trainers raise their trained level cap)
Short trip, long trip to the dungeon for you, fetcher.
Who was actually in the wrong in that case?
I got Underspace and moving across the country to occupy my time right now, someone else can pick it up.
>donate to support academic research (it makes trainers raise their trained level cap)
Uhh yeah the guild rejected my research proposal because no one wants to foot the bill for 10,000 void salts.
Die, fetchers!
