using creeper/mudcrab exploits

You didn't beat the game.

Very scr*wed
He just wants to bang on the drum all day

What exploits are allowed then?

just don't touch his drums

creeper shuffling

yep its morrowind time

Lame.
Also creeper doesn't buy potions does he?

if you filled out the census forms you didn't beat the game

anything is allowed it is your game. I dont use any exploits or the secret merchants when i play though because i know so much about the game i try and avoid the powerful stuff i already know about and roleplay a different role in the game. I have done almost every faction as a new character with a build to roleplay as an appropriate class for that faction.

Money in morrowind is infinite if you really want. You just gotta play it how you want.

i got bored as soon as i maxed out my stats using the alchemy loop

The solution is to not do that.

bug ridden mess where even the most green of players can accidentally step over massive exploits

nah you didn't beat it

He looks Jewish. You'll be alright as long as you pay him well.

im not even sure what exploit there is.
I used to tell him tons of expensive daggers so i could barter for them back, and sell the daggers for money.
he had like 5k gold. So id spend a month selling weapons to him until he had 50k worth of daggers in his inventory. So i could go on adventures and give him everything in exchange 50k worth of daggers, that i could sell back without losing money.

bro how many girls have you slept with

Playing Morrowind > Having sex with 3D whores

IM CREEPING!

In retrospect money doesn't have much purpose in morrowind unless i'm misremembering. You find most of your items. I guess the big purchase is enchanting which i recall seems to cost an astronomical amount

Buying spells and making custom spells takes a lot of money

Training is hell of drug.

Enchanting costs so much more than anything else in the game that it might as well not be on offer as a service and be entirely DIY.

also you needed daedric gear to make something with high values

Just sell the enchanter your daedric shrine loot hauls to get your money back.

exploit

What exploit? The creeper is a merchant in a town. He isn’t hidden.

reach level 20ish

daily DB assassins start hand delivering me daedric katanas

so how am I supposed to get the full trade value out of an item worth 50k when no merchant has even a fraction of that in gold?

Money does have purpose, but its not hard to come by even without creeper due to poorly implemented things like Dark Brotherhood armor

Even without exploiting you can just just run around in the swamps filling soul gems with crab souls to make enough money to start breaking the game with enchanting and spell making.

The dev who put him in referred to it as an exploit that breaks the economy and that it wasn't meant to be like that.

I unironically started enjoying morrowind a lot after I started keeping uesp open in another window.

What 'economy'

Every vendor has restocking goods and there is no economy simulation going on at all.

You don't. You hoard them inside one of your safehouses like I do.

spent my entire first playthrough afraid to wait in towns because the window says it's illegal

I literally just now realized this only means you can't level up in a town without a bed, not that guards will arrest you for loitering

#justn'wahthings

if the devs didn't intend mudcrab or creeper to be used, why did they put them in the game and give them a respawning gold cap?

seems to me that some or all of the game designers knew morrowind was deeply flawed in many ways, and so they put shortcuts in the game for experienced or powerful players to 'skip' the tedious bullshit they knew wasn't fun to interact with

If the devs didnt intend for the player to drink enough potions that all his stats and skills are in the 1000's forever why did they put it in the game

clearly a character in the base game

mmmmmmmmm exploit! You need to walk backwards on one leg and 3 fingers in your asshole to truly beat the game chud! Downvoted!

I remember resting outside Vivec and watching my back if theres not some cops coming to arrest me

nigga Morrowind is so exploitable if you restrict all exploits you have no game left. Engaging with systems like enchantment as intended breaks the game open.

That being said using creeper does make the game less fun, you aren't meant to get full price on daedric shit because nobody can afford it.

The only issue they have is being creatures and therefore not accounting for the mercantile skill nor disposition.

adamantium armor and SoWW from Balmora

glass daggers from Suran and Gnaar Mok

Orcish armor in Caldera

sell it all to Creeper

30k gold in the first fifteen minutes of playing

Creeper is an actual lore character (unlike mudcrab merchant who's an non-canon joke) so it's not an exploit

source: i saw it in a dream

Uriel...

audibly lol'd

You can easily pump you enchantment success rate with potions, so it's really just training that you might want to spend on.

In retrospect money doesn't have much purpose in morrowind unless i'm misremembering

uh lol
gold is the most important thing in morrowind, since its how you get training and thus maximum stat points on level up

Sir, this an Elder Scrolls:Morrowind thread. EVERYTHING is seen in a dream.

worrying about minmaxing stats

The game is only as hard as you choose to make it.

Come back to the lair of a Necromancer I killed, now with a 100 strength unlock scroll.

While I was gone house Indoril took it over and now unlocking the vault would be stealing.

exploiting

vs

interacting with the surface level game systems

Nigga that's Barbas, the better part of Clavicus Vile. Listen to him, use him while you got him.

drinking multiple potions isn't an exploit.

It clearly is. Infinite stacking of attribute fortifying potions removes from the game all the character building options by bypassing them entirely.
Why would they care to give each race and sex different +5s, +10s and +15s in attributes and skills if you can just get to billions with potions?
May as well remove all mechanical interactions from the game, why bother with hit chance through skills if you could simply boost to the thousands your agility instead?
Why even have weapon damage if you get get to trillions of strength?

drinking multiple potions to reach exponential levels of stat increases is clearly and obviously an exploit

If you aren't abusing Morrowind like a passed out girl at a frat party you aren't playing it right.

Morrowind is the game that will still love you as you spit in its face as you go balls deep first pump no lube into its ass.
It knows its place don't be afraid of taking away its dignity. It never had any.

But enough about Vivec

Humans exploit anything and everything. That's just how we roll.
Having pride just means you're too gay to break through the crust of reality. It's exploit, or be exploited, and I ain't no man slave. Too white for that.

ok but you didn't beat the game

you meticulously build up one merchant's stock with items you can barter back for the cost of deadric gear, and then sell back to when their gold restocks

The game mechanics are more forgiving than Vivec.
At least Vivec has a version of self respect.

If you aren't exploiting the fuck out of Morrowind you didn't beat the game.
You kinda missed the point.

You're right, I didn't beat the game. I was too busy brewing and blasting off to do the main quest. Too immersed in the autistic alchemy of savescumming. I've busted out more loads than you ever will. The Fe is Fie, mr. ironman.

I just use the vendors have more gold mod
No idea why they made them have barely any gold in the game

it's a backwater part of the provinve

Got attacked by a dark brotherhood assassin and looted it? You didn't beat the game.
