good morning sir

If I can't run a game at 1080p, I'll just use my CRT for actual lossless scaling.

gives you the ability to play old games locked to 60 at higher framerates without breaking physics

Thank you lossless scaling-sama

take off your glasses for free anti-aliasing too

How in the fuck do I use this without getting major input lag though? The only game that feels usable is Dragons Dogma 2, everything else makes my mouse feel like it's got permanent E3 camera or I'm dragging it through molasses.

time to whip out the controller bro

I'm not playing Helldivers with a controller, sticks suck dick for shooting.

meanwhile AMD

driver level FSR1 in any game

driver level fake frames in any game

driver level CAS or RIS2 in any game

driver level integer scaling support

>driver level fake frames in any game

Wouldn't that lead to fucked up UI/2D elements in every game that didn't directly support it?

FSR anything under 3 is not even worth utilizing though

objectively great upscaling and frame generation: exclusive to paid hardware

:(

objectively catshit upscaling and frame generation: available to thirdies

:O

Whenever I tell people I don't use this for framegen because it creates input lag they say "no bro it doesn't trust me bro"
I conclude that the people who use this are among the most retarded people in existence. How the fuck do they think it makes an inbetween frame lmao.

good morning sir

good morning sir

good morning sirs

Works incredibly with various emulators. Makes 30 FPS smooth (with some minor weirdness) and 60 FPS feels very good. Beat demon's souls on RPCS3 with it and only have good things to say about it.
I originally wasn't framegen pilled but lossless scaling does it very well. I've only used it on controller games though because you can really feel the delay on twitchy mouse FPS games (at least with FSR 3)

A little bit, their algo is quite good at mitigating that.

Livin in the fake world

It unironically doesn't create any input lag, you are just suffering from the uncanny valley of expecting better response times from frames that aren't actually there.

meanwhile nvidia

upscalers that dont look like blurry dogshit

all I need

here's one of the aforementioned retards.
Ok, let's teach you why you're retarded. Explain to me how it gets the inbetween frame. When you have 2 frames, and it generates one between those two, how exactly does it know what should be inbetween?

ironically enough dlss is far blurrier than fsr
you have to use trannyformer to be on par with current fsr but that is heavier on the cpu

you can just admit you're a pseud that doesn't actually understand the tech and is parroting "le fake frames are le bad" off jewtubers lmfao

this is the only use case for that shit

introduces input delay

it's like you retards don't understand what the benefit of high fps even is

Answer the question instead of trying to avoid thinking about it, retard.
How does it know which frame is coming up to create an inbetween?

noita in 144fps looks amazing

since the retard tapped out, I'll explain it for anyone who is interested: It holds the frames the GPU generated in buffer, and creates an inbetween, and THEN shows you the frame. Meaning you'll be seeing everything at a slight delay compared to when you're not using framegen, which causes input lag.
This is going to be unavoidable truth until the algos get so good/bespoke that they can predict the next frame from just the current frame. Which probably isn't that far off, but not reality yet.

for free

For a small amount of GPU overhead and a not insignificant increase in input latency.

How in the fuck do I use this without getting major input lag though?

You don't.

Your not meant to play 7th gen games at 4k. Developers kept in mind the displays used like crt technology and the resolution used. Even Disney rides will keep in mind the distance of a prop from the audience viewing it.

5th gen can be upscaled up to 480p

6th games can be upscaled to 768p.

7th gen can be upscaled to 1080p

8th gen games like Batman Arkham Knight or dying light can be upscaled to 1440p.

if something is free, you're the product

FSR1 is the best widely available and cheap spatial upscaling for use in real time rendering.
If you hate on FSR1 or/and you're not interested into fake frames, you won't use Lossless Scaling either way

I really like Lossless Scaling and adaptive frame gen mogs AMD and Nvidia to a hilarious extent, but you sir are straight tripping.

lowers your base framerate

adds extra frames inbetween

doesn't lower input latency

adds extreme artifacting

It's actually 5 bucks.

Cracked version is free

ducks are very rapey, im not putting one into my computer case
