I think so? Hard for me to say really since I only ever played Vampire Hunter with one anon on here one time and it was a ton of fun. Definitely did not have fun with the first Darkstalkers game though even on a casual play through the arcade mode.

The first DS is fun, but really rough. They really tightened up the later games. Nightwarriors is the only onle i enjoy Arcade mode of the DS games, even though Q-Bee is one of my favorite characters

There's a part of me that's really disappointed in how SFV ended and SF6 is going right now. I love playing SF6, but V ended with two of my favorite Capcom waifus ( Akira and Rose) at the very end. While I liked see them at the time, I now wish they had been saved until 6. It's a better game than V, even though V had more miscellaneous stuff like costumes and stages. Same with Lucia , Poison and Seth.

Thoughts on the Collection so far after about 15 hours:

Presentation is identical to MvC Collection, menu music is pretty good

Rollback could be better, I've had KO screens and command grabs visually register and then roll back to show they didn't go through, but it's been playable at worst

CvS1 is gorgeous, even more than people say, but man is it just okay as a fighter

CvS2 is still CvS2, no Roll Cancels in Ranked has lead to me not finding a single A-Groove player yet which is actually based

The ver.2K25 OST for CvS2 is mostly a letdown, and somehow True Love Makin' got absolutely fucking butchered

Tried to play A3 Upper because I hate V-ism so I wanted to play the version with it nerfed but I still can't find a character that clicks with me even in that huge roster (maybe if Hawk wasn't hilariously bad but alas)

Do you mean Project Justice as a whole or her gameplay specifically? Because it's been my most played game in the collection and I have her on anchor in case I need to zone or get free meter on a Team-Up.

Just play online or whatever, but teach yourself to block the whole match, don't even think about winning or combos or strategies. Just focus on blocking. I guess you could do it with the CPU but human players will always try to pull you away from blocking so you need to teach yourself to deal with that.

I actually did run A-Rose in both regular and Upper, for some reason my hitconfirms in Alpha are just total ass and I felt like I was wasting her. Considered X-Rose but that's probably stupid.

Haven't given power stone enough of a chance yet, but initial impression makes it seem like a party game that's just fun with Friends without too much staying power.
Cvs2 is so deep and feels very punchy. I just don't like the roster that much and boy did Capcom get a lot of work out of some of those alpha era sprites.

Project Justice is a 3D fighter but with no easy way to side-step because it's Capcom's 2D traditional gameplay unless you 2+KK to move toward camera

It's definitely a much less serious series but it has much more staying power than you'd think. Each character is just different enough, each stage is just different enough, and the balance between skill and bullshit is pretty good in most matchups. There's a reason it had so many clones in the early 00s before Arena Fighters shifted over to NUNS clones.

Thank you, I completely agree. Awesome game mechanically but the roster's so fucking dull compared to what it could be even if you stuck to mostly SF & KOF. Eagle, Haohmaru, Kyosuke, Hibiki, Raiden, and maybe Todoh are the only interesting picks (Maki is disqualified because she was a last-minute replacement for Linn Kurosawa after Fox blocked it).

Oh I know, she's in the trifecta of Capcom fighter women (outside of Chun who is undeniable) with Kyoko and Viper. Menat is also just a step below them.

A lot of stuff in SFV was too good for SFV, which is why 6 being so slow to add content sucks. Season 5 made it into a decent game but that took over half a decade and Ono getting booted.

It's not a joke that you can just abuse a few normals and counterattack to get by early on. Eventually you'll have to learn something useful. With Juri, that comes earlier than most.

I placed plat 1 and climbed to plat 4 with Honda by spamming 5MP both on block and on hit, doing counter DI and anti-airing, didn't bother learning any combos until I got to plat3 after a big winstreak
You overestimate the average skill at low ranks, people will do anything but block

I'm surprised neither Capcom nor SNK have Hiroaki on retainer. Hiroaki as SNK's visual director would probably make up for their shitty 3D modeling.

I think the bigger issue is that sidestepping is kind of worthless unless you get that perfect sidestep deal because like 90% of the moves track. It's like playing a better version of Kekken 8. I've been maining Yurika (and Ran with Chairperson as support) and it's anoying that her only normal launcher is her qcf+HP because it's slow and the use you'd think it have (dodge+attack) is negated by the fact everything tracks so using it to dodge just gets you smacked.

No there's Rival Schools, then there's Rival Schools 2 which was a Playstation exclusive which added some characters (Ran and Nagare) and more mini games and shit. Project Justice is technically the third game.

It's probably the lack of a buffer and much shorter hitstop. You need to really commit or react. Project Justice will probably be easier for you since hitconfirming is super lenient by comparison to most older games but it still doesn't have the huge hitstop of more modern games.

I feel like the only way to stop them from dying and becoming worthless is to combine them all into 1 game and release what is essentially an official version of fightcade, where there's always an indication of how many people are playing and there's a significant audience of people moving from game to game
