I started using the autocannon against squids this patch and they feel so much easier now, it really is the most versatile support weapon.

The spear kills tripods in one hit 80% of the time.

3 or 4 seeker grenades will down it. You just need to make sure you're within 50 meters and target select it before you throw them. Seekers are by far one of the best grenades in the game for squids. 4 seekers can clear out almost an entire drop.

Squids have this weird limbo of not being a big issue but nothing being good enough to kill them reliably

The machine gun can, it just gets boring after a while

Use fucking Autocannon, it has the versatility for everything except Harvesters because those weakpoints are tiny as fuck, and it's easy to miss the legs, but everything else is easy as fuck to take out using the Autocannon.

you just need to switch it back to AP, its a 4 shot kill to the leg joint
it's clunky to have to switch ammo types in the middle of a fight but you get used to it

I do hate how inconsistent gas grenades are at causing enemies hit by it to either attack each other or disperse. But stun grenades not hold them for long enough especially since so many missions now have longer call-in times.

I still like it, its fun. I never understood the faggots crying for third worlders that can't play.

It's one of my favorite games of all time. It has very little jank, especially given that they use some obsolete engine for the game. And it looks good. And most importantly it's fucking fun. If you want a challenge, you just queue up with a group of random >lvl 50s on a D10 mission. It will assuredly deteriorate into a shit show almost immediately.

Agreed. My personal 2024 goty. I have over 600 hours in and it’s still incredibly fun. The worst thing about the game isn’t really the game itself, it’s that the developers seem completely incompetent at times. Every update fixes one thing but breaks another. They’ll fix how a jpeg is displayed in-game and somehow now the spear won’t work anymore or some shit. I guess this thing runs on spaghetti code or something.
