Is there anything wrong with G2A?

Is there anything wrong with G2A?

m-muh reselling keys is problematic

Fuck you, I want to play CK3 and not have to spend $50.

here you go you stupid nigger

allkeyshop.com/blog/buy-crusader-kings-3-cd-key-compare-prices/

scummy ass behavior to its own costumers with shit like "inactivity fee"
high risk of just stolen keys

Fuck you, I want to play CK3 and not have to spend $50

piracy
or key resellers that just allows official publishers to sell like fanatical.com/en/game/crusader-kings-iii

Nothing. Primary use of these key sellers is so people can get rid off unwanted keys they got in bundles.

I've been using G2A and CDKeys for god knows how many years now and nothing bad has happened.

Stick to the resellers with loads of positive reviews and ALWAYS disable the extra shit they try to tack on at the end of the transaction.
That's it.

I've been using them and CDKeys for years and only got a bad key once, which was replaced with a good key. Just don't buy keys from sellers rated below 98% and you'll be fine.

I don't care if the keys are stolen. Steam doesn't ban stolen keys. I just want a key that will register the game on my account.

piracy

can't, need CK3 for ACOK mod, which requires a current version of the game, which you can't dl through a pirated copy.

they let just anyone sell there i would just pirate it instead of possibly getting the game revoked from your account

I don't think Steam revokes games like that..

getting the game revoked from your account

You niggers always say this but has this EVER happened?

t. has been buying stolen keys since like 2010 or some shit

It does when the publishers contacts them.

In what scenario would this ever occur?

ive bought at least 200 steam games from key shops and never had a single issue

Is there anything wrong with G2A?

no, just take the same precautions as you do with ebay and you'll be fine

it has happened when publisher considers fraudulent methods were used to acquire keys. in reality it means someone bought keys for less in another region or if you've been caught circumventing region locking. basically, they don't want you paying less than what they've determined you're going to pay. why do you think steam has been restricting gifting more and more?

new_gift.jpg - 660x416, 72.69K

All right, I bought CK3, and it worked. Thanks, bros.

I always saw buying games as supporting the devs, g2a is just paying some nigger to get a game added to your steam, what's even the point, just pirate that shit

Fuck you, I want to play CK3 and not have to spend $50.

Fuck you. Pirate that shit instead of supporting people who buy keys with stolen credit cards to resell on sites like G2A.

Can't pirate it, like I said I want to play mods. Who gives a fuck about-

supporting people who buy keys with stolen credit cards to resell on sites like G2A.

I certainly don't.

I've bought 3 keys from them. They delivered 2 of them and they worked just fine. One time they didn't even send me the key and I couldn't approach support as I was doing a guest checkout.

I've used a keysite for the first time a couple of days ago to buy Bomb Rush Cyberfunk for $4
The key worked and there was no problem while buying
I used InstantGaming though

Can't pirate it

skill issue

like I said I want to play mods

skill issue

I bought keys for DMCV when that first came out, Steam somehow detected it and my account got banned. Don't listen to these keysite kikes shilling for their site.

No
Whenever you see fags act all like

oh no don't buy those they are all stolen!

you can assume that it's the same type of people that would claim that all pirated copies of games are virus hotbeds

They would have just revoked your game you retarded nigger faggot.
Valve only bans your account for CC fraud, that is, if you buy shit from Steam directly with a stolen CC. Otherwise why should they even give a fuck, the fraudulent transaction was with a third party, not with them.

What usually happens is that sellers use stolen credit cards to buy keys and then resell to you through sites like G2A, basically launder that stolen credit cards into real useable funds. Eventually people with stolen cards will do a chargeback to get their money back so they don't really lose anything.

Occassionally you will have a big comapny like Ubisoft that go through their records and will revoke the keys. And you lose access to the game you bought from websites like G2A. Tho people don't notice until like a year or two later.

MOST of the time, companies do nothing and don't revoke the keys. So the key seller makes their cut. The person with their card stolen gets their money back through chargeback. You keep the key you bought. So nobody loses.... except the company that got the chargeback. They have to pay the chargeback fee. This can hurt small companies badly. It's like nothing to big corpo.

This is how websites like G2A can offer much lower prices than legit stores like Steam, GOG and even Epic.

Instead of getting a key, you get Steam account credentials to an account with nothing but a copy of the game. Happened to me twice.

post the email then

Didn't ever happen to me despite buying shit from there for over a decade at this point, then again I can read and would notice if it says "Steam account" and not "Steam key".

You do understand the difference between someone trying to sell you a 'Steam Account' and 'Steam Key' right?

Yeah smartass, which is why it's annoying when I buy one thing and get another.

Don't ever call me a smartass again you stupid poopy head

basically, they don't want you paying less than what they've determined you're going to pay.

kill em all

never had any issues with g2a, kinguin, or cdkeys
those are my go to keyshops for when i don't want my money going to the developer

Proof?

I've been using reseller sites a lot recently and I don't feel bad about it. It should be illegal for companies to charge full price on games that are years old, and I just got paid so I'm not waiting until months later for it to go on sale. So fuck you I'll pirate or buy a cheap key.

Steam doesn't ban stolen keys.

They literally do and that's the biggest concern with these keysites like G2A and Kinguin.
If the key gets reported stolen to Steam, anybody who used the key will have the game removed from their account so rip your money since these keysites won't give you a refund for the trouble. Pretty sure your Steam account can get into trouble too if you're constantly using stolen keys.

All of this is true, but people vastly exaggerate issue of stolen keys which is a tiny part of what gets sold on these sites. Such deals are almost always too good to be true and avoidable with just using common sense. It's a different matter when publisher decides to region lock certain batches of keys after the fact and people get caught in the crossfire.

Is there anything wrong with G2A?

The fact that you could just go the whole way and get games for free instead of just cheaper.

15 years on steam

Most of those spent buying shit of key sites

Around 200 hours in Spacewar emulating other games and playing online via steam exploits

0 cd key removals

0 warnings

Pirate the dlcs

What happens is people using VPN to activate much cheaper Russian keys, but you'll never get anyone to admit this.

Nothing wrong with it, indie devs are just mad that all the free keys they send to youtuber end up on G2A dirt cheap

Haven't used G2A but never had problems with other similar sites. If a AAA game has battlepasses and MTX on top of any potential future DLC, I just buy the game from key sites. I'm so sick of this shit.

I had my cc number stolen on g2a twice but never had a problem once I started using PayPal.
Good way to buy games cheap when you want steam multiplayer functionality without fucking around too much.

if youre buying from g2a just pirate the game, those keys are stolen so there is literally no difference except youre giving some worthless nigger your money

no because I can use all the steam functionalities like updates or mods

So you're just too tech illiterate to get games for free.

I prefer paying a small fee to a ruskie once rather than having to beg for updates and mod files on ruskie forums all days like you do

where do you think resellers got their keys from? the devs still get some money, just not as much as if a stupid paypiggy american had paid full american price for it. the only way to combat key sellers is to end the first world subsidization of video games. either charge first worlders less or charge third worlders more. they'll never do either of those, because the profit lost from a few first worlders buying resold keys from thirdies is worth eating for the extra profit they make from the current system.

its all personal preference, do you want the money to go to the grubby game dev jews or the sketchy dubious gypsy resellers

I only buy games from indie developers who self-publish.

want to sell leftover humble bundle monthly keys on g2a

they need you to have a literal business to sell things on their site now

lame. what do i do with extra keys now...

Just do giveaway thread on Anon Babble.

Don't forget that fraudulent is also stolen credit cards

player buys game on g2a

after some time dev get notice 'purchase under XXX credit was fraudulent ' and they reverse the transaction

Now what should the dev do, ban the player key and the player which the player 'payed' for? Or let a freeloader roam and use the online services?
If you ban, you tilt your customers against you, if let him stay it costs money

Inb4 but muah single player

Niggaz that play single prolly gonna DL it, you buy game for online services.
