His out of battle econ management is quite interesting on paper, but it leads to the issue that his scaling becomes utterly nonsensical and a good Pyg ends up pretty much unbeatable late game with his only weakness being the early game. Add to that the fact that late game losses are so much more punishing than early game losses and you have a recipe for disaster.

Too little too late for me, I was hyped for months to try this shit out, I was about to buy the beta but seeing as the release was coming soon I decided to hold off. I was shocked when they completely changed their model for release, it was scummy as fuck. Even if they fixed it, I've now lost all interest just because of that dick move. Also did they return the rewards for playing casual matches? Pre release they used to give you ranked tickets and currency for certain wins, then they changed it so that they literally gave you nothing but a way to do your daily quests, which meant that it didn't matter if you had a banger run with max wins or you just lost as soon as possible on that mode.

I'm not saying that it's perfect but it's definitely far less punishing as a f2p now. Sure, others getting a pack earlier still sucks but you can always pay 3000 gems to immediately unlock it too, even as a f2p without spending any additional money. If you only play certain characters then saving up for packs for them specifically is easily doable.
Personally I think they should still make the pass progress a bit faster or even better, put new packs right at the beginning up to maybe level 15 max for both because reaching level 30 on the pass still takes a bit even with a subscription.

No, still no rewards of any sort for casual matches sadly but you do get a free daily ranked run at least. That said, I think casual matches do feel pretty nice right now because you tend to encounter lots of ghosts of people who actually try to be more creative and do shit they otherwise never would in ranked mode. If you incentivise casual play with too many rewards then I fear it will just turn into another ranked mode so that's always something to consider too.

Firstly frequent meta shifts are GOOD. Secondly, reynad has maintained that's exactly what he wants. He hated how stale hearthstone was. This most recent change to PVE exp has been great, they just need to take away the vanessa/pyg exp events+wanted poster to make it fair.

Vanessa is the best hero early game, and it's up to the player to really transition into late game because none of the early game shit transitions really well unless you got the best skills for it.

Sure, thats a different thing though. For single item upgrades we have:
B1&B2 encounter that upgrades one bronze to a silver
Silver Forja level up that upgrades one bronze to a silver
Gold Forja level up that upgrades one bronze to a silver or one silver to a gold
Diamond Forja encounter that upgrades any item to the tier higher
They should add a new character for the silver or bronze upgrade and them have them all appear consistently in encounters and level ups

Also I do think it's weird that while they've been pretty great with art assets, they still have times like at the beginning or on level up or on lethal when youre given three options of the same icon.

You still have mountain pass and optional PVE fights later on, it just moves away from "did you get lucky enough to find friend/food for furry monster if he shows up at all?" and "Can you beat scrapper(who yes, has been a joke for a month+, or boarrior?" which favors early game builds. reynad wants the game to be about item and skill synergies, not unga bunga I have 150 more HP and 2 board slots than you so I win!
